The position of the two bench presses and incline bench are pushed up against the wall on the East side of the building. Right where the steel reinforcement beams are located which leaves NO space to safely spot your partner without hitting your head or back on one of those beams. You cannot even get behind them without crawling around the weights or beams themselves. This is incredibly dangerous and a major safety issue. Whomever designed the layout of the weight room does not appear to have experience with weight training. The nautilus machines and free weight areas should probably be switched. There is nowhere to safely stretch (people do it under the stairs) or do ab exercises, box jumps, etc. Someone, with knowledge of weight training, should redesign the space for efficiency and safety.

This facility has a wall of huge windows with a beautiful view of the mountains. It's kept up & clean. There's always plenty of parking...there are even charging stations for electric vehicles. Note, membership is free for Denver residents that are 60+ & those ages 5-18. With membership you have access to all 30 Denver rec centers & pools. I regularly go to two classes - one is a Cardio & Strength class & the other is Tai Chi, both are drop-in. The instructors are fun & very knowledgeable. Christine teaches the cardio class & always demonstrates modifications, so it's perfect for all levels of fitness. Maureen is very well versed in Tai Chi as well. In addition there are a lot of other perks that complement the WODs, with my favorite that there is a physical therapist located in the building and you can simply text her to book an appointment (and you can do it around your workout timing so no excuses for not getting the treatment you might need!). And this place is very kid friendly for the weekend workouts and my 3 kids love coming while I get a great workout.

My name is Jeffrey S. Bowerman, and I have been a dedicated member of your gym, frequently working out with my wife, Debbie Bowerman. The incident leading to this ban occurred in February 2026 and involved a staff member named Cindy. At the time, I was dealing with significant personal and health challenges, including a broken foot and multiple hospitalizations, as well as serious illnesses affecting my brothers. During an interaction regarding the recovery and tanning beds, there was a misunderstanding about my membership level and the use of the mobile app. While I admit I became frustrated, I immediately apologized to Cindy and explained the personal stress I was under. Unfortunately, when I asked to speak with Chris, he upheld the decision to revoke my membership across all locations without, to my knowledge, reviewing any video footage of the interaction. My wife and I valued our time at Chuze Fitness, as it was a vital part of our routine and wellbeing. Being restricted to the local recreation center has been a poor substitute for the facilities and community at your gym. I've been going to 24 Hour Fitness for a while and needed a fix, a different routine so instead of signing up for an expensive program through 24 Hour I reached out to Cam who worked with me to get me back on track, adjusted my form and added some great exercises to my typical routine. Really? Honestly, it's embarrassing to be somewhere that you feel completely out of place at. There are some helpful people at the gym but lets face it, more people are staring at you waiting for you to mess up so they can post it to Facebook. Not my thing. When it was suggested to me that I should see a personal trainer to show me what the heck I'm supposed to be doing, I was very skeptical. I was pretty sure I was a hopeless case and didn't want to be laughed at. That's when I started going to train with Cam. I have been training with him for 4-5 months and I love it. Well.. love is a strong word when I'm so sore that I can't even walk right the next day but you see my point. Cam is incredibly helpful when it comes to form. I would have broken my back by now if it weren't for his training. He is just as respectful as he is helpful. A giant guy like Cam can be super intimidating but he makes sure that you feel comfortable, welcome, and then kicks your ass. He even has a TV so that you can keep your kids occupied while you sweat. Cam is a very skilled trainer. I mean, I was a helpless little person when I walked in there. If he can work with me then he can work with anyone. He continues to work with me and push me to limits that I had no idea I could go to. If that's not a great trainer then I have no idea what is. He uses exercises that I have never heard of to work muscles I didn't know I had. He's completely encouraging which is nice when you have been down on yourself for so long like I was. Seriously, if you're even considering a personal trainer, give this guy a call.
