My friend got targeted by a BOGO Instagram ad because working out is apparently all we ever do in Denver, so we decided to check out the location in Cherry Creek. I tried to be as prepared as possible, reading the FAQs on their website and purchasing my own boxing wraps from Amazon. Probably should have just gotten the glove wraps that are WAY easier to put on. Parking in this part of Cherry Creek is not too bad. Plenty of street spots a few blocks away. Rumble has boxing glove rentals for $3 and their front desk staff is always super friendly and helpful. They're on top of trying to sell memberships to everyone! Classes are constantly full and upbeat. It's just too loud to hear what the instructors are actually telling me to do, and depending on where you're stationed in the room, it's nearly impossible to see the visuals on the screen. There's two sets of rotations between the boxing bag and weights. Good variety of movement and music to keep everyone engaged. Overall I'm super glad I tried Rumble Boxing. They do a great job trying to curate a specific experience. It's just not for me. The environment and type of workout is a little too chaotic, and it's hard to understand what's going on. They seem to be doing well as a business, and I totally support anyone whose regular thing this is!

I kept driving by Base 6 and decided to give them a-go since I like HIIT classes and I workout better in group classes than alone. It's been almost a year since I've been going to Base 6. The classes offer a lot of variety. You are able to push yourself as much as you want or take it easy if you're having an off-day. I am probably one of the least coordinated people and I never feel embarrassed when the entire class is working out on their left side and I'm on my right b/c I can't follow direction. The coaches are very knowledgeable regarding the exercises and correct your form when needed. They also try to push me but know when to back off when I give them the stank eye. The class formats can sometimes be a little hard to follow, but the coaches offer great direction and explanation of the format. The owner, Brian, does a good job keeping the routine engaging and fun. There are always themed classes around the holidays and group challenges. There are familiar faces any time I show up to work out which makes you feel like a small part of a community. Even if you're afraid of HIIT- like classes, give them a shot, you may enjoy it.

I was coming off a knee injury, had a handful of other aches and pains, and felt like my training (which I had been doing consistently for years), had started to plateau. Working with Angelo has been a game changer, and the depth of his fitness and coaching knowledge is absurd. Simply put, I've made measurable, significant gains in every area of my fitness. While I don't work directly with the other coaches or attend the classes (I use the open gym for the individual training plan Angelo writes for me) everyone on staff is friendly, helpful, and most importantly incredibly knowledgeable. There's no attitude here, just the expectation that you'll show up and work hard. Additionally - I've had multiple sessions with Liliana at EDX Bodyworks (the attached sports therapy clinic) - and she's a wizard, it's a great resource to have on hand for when tweaks and injuries pop up. I've been a member of probably 6 or 7 gyms, this is the best one yet, my membership will end when Angelo and Liliana decide to retire. No matter your fitness level, if you're serious about getting in shape do yourself a favor and give the EDX community a shot.

This is the most intense full body workout I have experienced compared to any other gym - period! I even did Crossfit consistently for six months and this doesn't compare. I thought maybe some of the other reviewers hadn't worked out much which is why this seemed so hard...nope I was wrong. Be ready for a seriously hard workout every single time. But you also leave class feeling super accomplished and ready to tackle any obstacles! The coaches are encouraging, upbeat and pay attention to form. It's a different workout every time so your body won't get used to any one movement. Now it's important to point out that even if you aren't mega fit it's ok! You can modify anything and take it at your own pace. It's not some crazy bro competitive atmosphere either, people are there to work on their personal goals and fitness - that's it! The instructors (Ryan and Cory) were welcoming to this newcomer and every day is different, so it was easy to jump in despite not being a regular. It's not easy, but the classes really fly by! The instructors were motivating throughout and blasted music to keep up the energy. I went early in the morning and street parking was easy to find outside. The position of the two bench presses and incline bench are pushed up against the wall on the East side of the building. Right where the steel reinforcement beams are located which leaves NO space to safely spot your partner without hitting your head or back on one of those beams. You cannot even get behind them without crawling around the weights or beams themselves. This is incredibly dangerous and a major safety issue. Whomever designed the layout of the weight room does not appear to have experience with weight training. The nautilus machines and free weight areas should probably be switched. There is nowhere to safely stretch (people do it under the stairs) or do ab exercises, box jumps, etc. Someone, with knowledge of weight training, should redesign the space for efficiency and safety.

This is a fantastic center with fabulous instructors.
