Terrific crew here at CFPH... Coach Margrette will make sure your technique is on point (at least as good as her's), Coach Ian is playful and upbeat and totally changed my approach to DUs, Head Coach MK is an excellent example of a prime CF athlete and the rest of the team is so approachable and easygoing, they make a grueling challenge like CF actually very, very fun. Solid box, even more better staff. Bumping my membership up as we speak!

The outside of the gym :) super easy to find!

This gym will welcome you as part of their family and not make you feel like you suck because you can't do a million pushups.

I am here to tell you that I was basically dragged to Orange Theory by a very good friend that I…read moretrust who promised I would really like it and I doubted her the entire way. I thought: + I'm probably going to hate this. + It's possible I might die from exertion. + I don't think I'm fit enough to be here. + It's likely I'll die! (I thought this a lot on the short drive over) + I won't know what to do. And many more negative thoughts along these lines. Guys, I was wrong. First of all I didn't die. I didn't even barf and I've done workouts that made me want to before. And it's true I didn't know how to do some of the things, but the instructors were super awesome at helping me and I never felt uncomfortable. And when I left I felt so good. The right kind of worn out from a work out. After this experience I went the next week on my own and had a very similarly great experience, even with a different coach so I signed up for a monthly membership and I go once a week these days. Our workouts consist of switching through three "stations" - treadmills (or a bike if you'd prefer), rowers, and strength training. On the treadmills they give you guidelines for power walking, jogging, or running. The rowers usually alternate with some sort of squat or leg workout. And strength training focuses on different parts of the body/muscle groups every week. If you only do Orange Theory you should go more often than I do, but I also do yoga and HIIT and cycling at other places so I find one time a week works well for me. Don't be scurred like I was. Or find a friend to go with. It's actually one of the least intimidating workouts I've done in a long while and you feel great when you are done. Your first class is free if you let them know when you sign up it's your first time so the only investment is an hour of your time.

Koko Fitclub is a unique concept for a gym and I've been a member for well over a year now. It's…read morecertainly worth checking out with the $30 for 30 days introduction. Your strength training sessions are loaded onto a fob and the machine paces you through each set, giving form tips and tracking results. I disagree with another reviewer that stated this is best for newbies, because the programs are always changing, and challenging. They start where you are at so I've seen the whole spectrum of fitness and athleticism working out at this location. The workouts are varied, you don't do the same routine over and over again. The workout is circuit style on one versatile machine with multiple attachments and goes along fast, goal is 30 minutes for strenth. The cardio is primarily eliptical or treadmill programs with a choice of workouts on different levels, all of them about 16 minutes long. High intensity interval training is the emphasis. While working out you get to travel the globe with Fit coaches and benefit from all sorts of fitness and nutrition information too. The Denver location also adds their own touch to the Koko formula by having a recumbent bike available, free yoga classes, and fitness balls and stretching tools and flexibility workouts as well. There are fit coaches that help you along, and you can pay a little extra to have one give you 1:1 sessions as well. I'm talking about personal training sessions at $20 or less an hour. I also appreciate that I can go there anytime because members have access 24 hours and are able to go outside of staffed hours. The atmosphere is friendly, relaxed. There are no showers but there are two large individual bathrooms that give space to freshen up as best you can and the gym is always very clean. I really do enjoy the challenge but also that once you choose your program for those 24 sessions you have the structure and workouts right there on the screen pacing you so you can focus on your experience and not fumble around figuring out the right weight or the right exercise to do. It probably also helps that the gym is 2 blocks from my home, can't beat that convenience.

The "gamification" and data help me keep it going and understand my progress. Yes, I see and feel additional muscles, but the computer also tells me I've increased my strength by 50%. That pays off in easier day-to-day tasks (toting bags of dog food, putting suitcases in overhead bins), less back pain, and fewer injuries. Jen, the owner, is enthusiastic and dedicated to the gym and also to the well-being of each and every member.

I kept driving by Base 6 and decided to give them a-go since I like HIIT classes and I workout better in group classes than alone. It's been almost a year since I've been going to Base 6. The classes offer a lot of variety. You are able to push yourself as much as you want or take it easy if you're having an off-day. I am probably one of the least coordinated people and I never feel embarrassed when the entire class is working out on their left side and I'm on my right b/c I can't follow direction. The coaches are very knowledgeable regarding the exercises and correct your form when needed. They also try to push me but know when to back off when I give them the stank eye. The class formats can sometimes be a little hard to follow, but the coaches offer great direction and explanation of the format. The owner, Brian, does a good job keeping the routine engaging and fun. There are always themed classes around the holidays and group challenges. There are familiar faces any time I show up to work out which makes you feel like a small part of a community. Even if you're afraid of HIIT- like classes, give them a shot, you may enjoy it.

I've been going to this Fitwall location for almost 2 years and I cannot express enough good things…read moreabout the team and the workouts! First off, Fitwall classes are designed to give you a full body workout in 40 minutes. I have found that I sign up by my instructors as they are typically the same for each class by the day. The classes cycle through a 3 week process that gets gradually tougher each week. Mondays - Friday classes en corporate strength, cardio and flexibility. Mondays are the most strength and weight focused, and each day gradually includes more cardio until you get to the Friday class which is 90% cardio and the perfect burner you need before the weekend. While you get to know and learn all the instructors different routines, Drew and Alyssa have been my go to from day 1. Drew and Hannah always have incredible insight into the kinesiology behind your moves and while all the coaches love to push the class to achieve the most from your workouts, these two specifically always provide perfect recommendations for anyone with pain points and their modifications make sure that you are staying inline with the rest of the classes exercises. Huge shout out to Alyssa and Amanda who are remarkable as well, they exemplify the all around continuous motivation. Exactly what you will need by the 30 minute mark of each class! I love how clean and well kept the gym is, as well as the dependable communication of this team. I started going to Fitwall during Covid, and last winter had a number of scares. The team was amazing at making sure everyone was staying safe and that the gym was aware of any issue or possible outbreaks as we all adjusted to the new normal.
