I first came to Fitwall when I signed up for their 30 day weight loss challenge, but I knew after only a couple classes that I would be sticking around much longer than that. Not only am I really happy about the final results of my challenge, but I also am excited that I discovered such a great fitness center. I love the efficiency of the 40 minute classes, but don't let that fool you into thinking the classes won't kick your butt (in the best way). The music mixes are great and video demonstrations play throughout the workout. Every single one of the instructors remembered my name and as simple as it seems I felt that it goes a long way in making members feel welcomed and part of the community. The facility and staff are following CDC guidelines and doing everything they can to make members feel safe. On entry you get your temperature taken and are provided hand sanitizer. The facily is cleaned between classes and there are see-through dividers between the spaced apart stations. The location and parking garage is also super convenient. I like that they have their own app for scheduling classes and viewing account info. I am looking forward to continuing my fitness journey here with the support of the staff and fun classes!

I love Fitwall! I signed up for the 30 day fat loss challenge but will definitely be coming back for more. Everyone is so kind and the trainers work hard to make you feel at home while still challenging you to do your absolute best! I love the group workout set up and that the coaches will come over and help with your form if it looks off or if you seem confused. I don't like cardio, but I love coming to these classes as it is strength, cardio, and flexibility all in 40 mins! Great way to squeeze a workout in if you are a busy person. I'd 100% recommend. I also really appreciate the screens that show how to do the workouts above each wall just incase you didn't catch it the first time or feel as if your form isn't correct!

I just finished the 30 weight loss challenge with Fitwall and couldn't be more excited about my experience! Working out was never my forte, especially with weights or high intensity interval style classes. At first I felt extremely intimidated, and pretty much died after my fist class. Fast forward a month and I feel so confident entering the Fitwall classes! Everyone at the gym, both instructors and members were so nice and welcoming. I kept up with the work outs 3x a week and the diet plan for 30 days and lost 10.5lbs and 4in! Fitwall really works and I will continue doing my workouts at this gym!

The hardest part is getting through the door!

I have a confession to make: I HATED Fitwall after my first workout because it was HARD! I used to workout religiously then had a major back surgery a year and a half ago. I've been slowly coming back from this, and after physical therapy, Pilates and yoga, I decided it was time to begin a more rigorous routine. During my first Fitwall class, I was unable to do stuff my body used to be able to do. It was hard to look around the gym and see others doing moves that I could not. The next day my struggle was REAL- my legs were so sore that getting off the toilet really was problematic. I was pissed. I HAD to come back again and show the wall who was boss. Then I had to come again, and again because the challenge became addictive in a good way. Over the last couple of months, I've gotten stronger and stronger. I joined Fitwall's Shredded for Summer challenge and thrived with the accountability. The faces of both members and trainers are now familiar and welcoming. My body is doing more and more things it couldn't do before. With some things, I'm one of the heaviest lifters in the room; with others I still do major modifications because it's what MY body needs. So here's my word of caution: MODIFY if you're new. One of the biggest reasons people get hurt in the gym is too much, too soon. Don't do that. Be in tune with your body and honest with yourself and your personal journey. Talk to the trainers before class, let them know of injuries, struggles, and goals. Ask them for modifications for exercises that don't work for you. Remember that they may have as many as 17 others in the room and so they may not know that you need a bit of extra help unless you ask, but they are ALWAYS there for you if you let them know. Most of all, be patient and kind to yourself. So what happens in a Fitwall class? Something different every day! During the span of 40 minutes, you will do various interval/HIIT type stuff with bands, barbells, body weight and the wall (which is used in numerous ways!) along with various cardio moves. Everyone can do it by using appropriate weights and modifications going at the speed that works for them. Also know that you can do private sessions with a coach for VERY reasonable fees. Unlike other boutique gyms around Denver, the parking situation is amazing in the super close by easy to navigate w/ my pickup truck, covered lot. Ultimately, I think this workout is great for anyone ready to make some big physical changes as long as they are ready to invest some hard work.

After many, many search sessions, I kept coming back to Body by Emilee and finally took the plunge to set up my initial consultation. And now, I'd probably describe myself as a superfan of Emilee's. From the get-go, Emilee was really approachable, kind, and very easy to work with. We started with nutrition sessions, and while I was definitely not eating the most healthy diet, I never felt bad talking about my habits. Emilee's approach is a "sure and steady" way of looking at things. Instead of something drastic we were able to look at my habits and make small, consistent changes over the course of the past year that has served me really well. Plus, nothing is off-limits. Emilee believes in creating a sustainable lifestyle of nutrition and exercise. And I'm more of a "moderation in everything" kinda gal, so I couldn't handle someone telling me there'd be no more, oh, I don't know, fried chicken or champagne or cake. From there, I was also able to add personal strength training with Emilee two days a week. While the sessions are never easy, Emilee is always very mindful about how hard we are working and adjusting my weights or my exercises to have maximum impact on my goals. And working out with her is honestly just a ton of fun. Beyond the excellent coaching aspect, Emilee has built a solid community of women around her, both the folks she coaches as well as just the people she knows in the world. She hosts regular events for everyone who trains with her that span a wide variety of topics, everything from a session on learning to add meditation into your routine to a spin class. Every time I attend one of the events, I marvel at how much I genuinely like everyone that is there. For me, a number on the scale wasn't (and isn't) my ultimate goal, but I have lost nearly 30 pounds over the past year, and a half (all the Covid weight and most of the baby weight), but best of all is how strong and healthy I feel. My body feels really good, and I feel really good about my habits these days. Finding Body by Emilee was like finding a light at the end of the tunnel, and my sessions with her have been such a bright light in each of my weeks.

Spending time to talk about tailwinds and how to make small changes created a lot of change quickly for me. She checks in with you and creates a holistic plan catered to your needs. I can't recommend her enough!  I will continue to leverage her further as coach in the future, as her method is aligned to what works for me!

I would add, that often leads to an openness and trust on a personal level that allows him to truly help people arrive at a better state of wellness beyond just physical health. It was not until recently, after suffering a spate of miscellaneous sports misfortunes, that I had the opportunity to experience what Rob does first hand. It honestly blew my mind. His ability to diagnose an apparent problem is skillful, and candidly I would have never appreciated the interconnected-nature of my weaknesses on my own. (E.g., this back pain you're experiencing is actually about your glutes). From there, he helps to rectify the current issue, in a way that to my lay mind is a little akin to witchcraft. (I explained to a friend, that when Rob was 'adjusting' my pulled calf muscle it sort of felt like he was doing nothing, and then magically everything was better after). Finally, Rob gives useful, practical guidance on areas to work on that help to improve the overall function and avoid the issue going forward. His approach is full service, which honestly makes him unlike any trainer or therapist with which you might otherwise work. It's why it's so hard to explain what it is exactly that he does, unless you've truly had the fortune to experience it yourself. If you're working through an injury, or just trying to get to a better place of overall function, I cannot recommend Rob more highly!

Rob helped me realize that the soreness and tightness I was feeling (especially after having three kids) wasn't something I just had to live with. His approach is super personal, and even over virtual sessions, he has this ability to notice little movement patterns and imbalances I didn't know existed. The exercises he gives are simple but so effective. And as a mom, I really appreciate how flexible and accommodating he is. He's totally understanding when my schedule gets crazy, and even included my baby in a few sessions during nap strikes. Plus, his voice is so calming--I always end our sessions feeling relaxed and reset. Can't recommend him enough!
