Getting back into a regular exercise program after 5 years of sitting on my duff figured to be a challenge, but Andrzej helped me gradually gain the strength and confidence to do it. The facility on 44th is always clean and organized. Even on busy days there are enough stations and equipment available for everyone. The variety of weights, machines, treadmills, elipticals, TRX, rowers and other equipment insures you can work every muscle from head to toe. The upstairs fitness room is a great place to stretch or do body weight exercises. The nice thing about the facility is how it welcomes all ages and fitness levels. Men and women share the space. And members have access 24-7. The staff greets you as you arrive and leave during daytime hours. I worked out for years at a couple of the big national fitness chains and some days would leave as soon as I arrived becauseof the crowds and high pressure atmosphere. AF is more laid back and welcoming and I see myself sticking with them for the long haul.

This is one of the few spots we found that isn't class based - though they do offer HIIT and Yoga throughout the week. The gym itself has pretty much all the equipment you would need, the biggest detractor is that it's a quite small space. There's not a ton of open workout space, especially if a class is in session. But they have squished a lot of equipment into the space. So when they're busy it can feel like you're on top of one another. Pretty much only have one set of heavier free weights, so you might end up waiting. Everything is well maintained and clean. The staff are very friendly and the ownership seems to be making updates and keeping the place maintained. Locker rooms are clean. They have garage windows so on hotter days those get rolled up which is nice. There's a small parking lot in the back and some street parking.

This location now offers Studio Red (HIIT cardio), Flow (heated yoga), and LFT (lifting class) which are basically boutique-style workouts that would cost $30+ for a single drop in class elsewhere, but you get it (and a lot more) for a monthly cost of ~$45 (as of Jan 2026). The equipment in the classes are high end and in great condition. All the coaches teaching the classes are wonderful, fun, welcoming people, so it's a great environment to jump start your fitness journey or crank it up. Really great fellow gym go-ers in the classes as well - no weird egos, very supportive and considerate. It's true that the extra amenities, like the massage chairs, break down more consistently than you'd like, but the workouts are so satisfying, it's fine. There are also some new-ish annoying fees with being late and corporate controlling the music played. Also, there's a pool and some spa amenities. I haven't personally used it, but it's always looks clean and does the job. Again, at this price point, it's a great deal.

Since I have to be careful with working out postpartum, and I want an actual workout and not just a stretch class, this is a huge bummer. If I'm only going to be able to do gym time, I might as well go with a different gym and not waste money on studio classes that I can't attend.

I've done Lagree for a few years so not new to this. The machines were a bit odd, I know everyone likes to modify these for their special brand of Lagree but I didn't like the way these were modified. I took 3 classes, two were just bad, a random set of exercises that didn't seem to cohesively go together, and one was just OK. I didn't feel the instructors were that experienced or paid attention to the people, everyone was doing something slightly different. It feels like some movements were just there for the coolness factor but they didn't really create a workout or make sense. There is a right way to do a move and there are adjustments that can be made but I just didn't get a good workout here.

I tried workout apps, weight training notebooks, every website and guide and book to try to train myself into some sort of motivation... I would manage to have some discipline for a week, max -- and then I'd skip a day, and then a few days, and then it had been months. Then my partner found The Fitness Branch. He loved it, immediately. "It's kettlebells, you'll love it, I promise." I was skeptical -- but he signed me up for a few private sessions to get the hang of it and man, I haven't looked back. That first session with Leandra changed my life. She was the very first person to truly understand and care about my fitness needs, and offer a steady and sustainable journey towards my goals. Getting stronger physically has helped my brain get stronger, and that's worth the whole endeavor -- but it's also incredibly satisfying to lay on the gym floor in a puddle of your own sweat after working really hard and having a great time while doing it. Leandra also has a background in PT -- so whenever aches and pains appear from your daily life, she always has a stretch or seven to help set you right. She understands the physiology of the kettlebell movement to the point where she can adapt an entire workout on the fly to fit your specific needs, especially if you have an injury or a flare-up. First off, Fitwall classes are designed to give you a full body workout in 40 minutes. I have found that I sign up by my instructors as they are typically the same for each class by the day. The classes cycle through a 3 week process that gets gradually tougher each week. Mondays - Friday classes en corporate strength, cardio and flexibility. Mondays are the most strength and weight focused, and each day gradually includes more cardio until you get to the Friday class which is 90% cardio and the perfect burner you need before the weekend. While you get to know and learn all the instructors different routines, Drew and Alyssa have been my go to from day 1. Drew and Hannah always have incredible insight into the kinesiology behind your moves and while all the coaches love to push the class to achieve the most from your workouts, these two specifically always provide perfect recommendations for anyone with pain points and their modifications make sure that you are staying inline with the rest of the classes exercises. Huge shout out to Alyssa and Amanda who are remarkable as well, they exemplify the all around continuous motivation. Exactly what you will need by the 30 minute mark of each class! I love how clean and well kept the gym is, as well as the dependable communication of this team. I started going to Fitwall during Covid, and last winter had a number of scares. A tad bit too far from my neighborhood, but if you live in the area, it's worth looking into. I was looking for magazines for a vision board project so I asked the library if they had any they were throwing out. They just did some recycling, darn it, but took my name and number for the next time. Sure enough, they did call and give me a stack of magazines, so that was nice of them! Found about this place as I was getting my taxes done with DABC (Denver Asset Building Coalition).
