This is hands down the best gym I have ever been to, and I have been working out in "chain gyms"…read morefor 15 years. The staff REALLY cares. Every single trainer that works there has an encouraging and welcoming attitude, and together they have created an environment of positivity, education and growth. Asking questions at a gym can be intimidating, but not here. They have done an excellent job slashing all of the negative "gym culture" stereotypes; and instead established a warm and supportive setting for fitness. You are not just a number at this gym - you are a person with goals, and they want to help with that. I saw a review on here that the gym was too small. Ok, let's be real. There are not 65 treadmills at this gym. If you get pumped up by working out with 200 other people, then going into the movie theatre cardio room while you drink your smoothie made on-site - don't come here. If you like being greeted by name every time you walk in the door, making friends with other gym goers and feeling like you are part of a family, DO come here. (Also I have never waited for a piece of equipment). Additionally, Anytime has just added some classes that were an absolute game changer for me. They are small group (1-6 people), highly targeted and results-oriented. The trainers keep the workouts fresh and challenging, and I am super impressed with how much change I am seeing just from three hour-long sessions per week. If you are a class person, you will love it. I highly recommend you give this gym a try. You will really like the team, feel better about yourself AND torch some calories.

The owner Bryan Wilson gloated about how he owned 5 businesses in Colorado and expressed that he didn't care that I wanted to cancel and said I'm forced to pay a whole year without any chance of cancellation. This gym is a scam the weights aren't even worth the price and the owner is rude and has zero care for his customers

Focused, organized, supportive and ultimately the right personality to be working with a variety of folks such as myself who started from absolutely no fitness to build up my stamina and strength. All of the training varied, keeping the 30 minute workouts interesting and challenging. I definitely gained confidence and a higher level of fitness from the process. Highly recommend for folks who need to get the right start to a healthier lifestyle without the pressures of big gym competition.

Not only is his approach to weight training different but he offers the inside scoop on nutrition to get you as strong as possible. If you think you can't change your body at your age....you are wrong. If you think there isn't a trainer out there who will accept you as you are with no judgement...you are wrong. If you are willing to work and are serious about being as healthy as you can for your age, Greg can get you there. I know this because I'm over 70 and now I'm fit and strong. I got here with help from Greg and Sharon at Urban Pump. They gave me courage to prove I could do it. You can lift weight safely and you can get stronger. As an example, I started lifing 70lbs on the leg press. I am currently lifing nearly 500 lbs. Really. I didn't want to be old and weak.... and I'm not. C .... art lady

This review is specifically for the layout of the weights on the second floor. More specifically,…read morethe location of the bench press (2) and incline bench (1). The position of the two bench presses and incline bench are pushed up against the wall on the East side of the building. Right where the steel reinforcement beams are located which leaves NO space to safely spot your partner without hitting your head or back on one of those beams. You cannot even get behind them without crawling around the weights or beams themselves. This is incredibly dangerous and a major safety issue. Whomever designed the layout of the weight room does not appear to have experience with weight training. The nautilus machines and free weight areas should probably be switched. There is nowhere to safely stretch (people do it under the stairs) or do ab exercises, box jumps, etc. Someone, with knowledge of weight training, should redesign the space for efficiency and safety.

This facility has a wall of huge windows with a beautiful view of the mountains. It's kept up & clean. There's always plenty of parking...there are even charging stations for electric vehicles. Note, membership is free for Denver residents that are 60+ & those ages 5-18. With membership you have access to all 30 Denver rec centers & pools. I regularly go to two classes - one is a Cardio & Strength class & the other is Tai Chi, both are drop-in. The instructors are fun & very knowledgeable. Christine teaches the cardio class & always demonstrates modifications, so it's perfect for all levels of fitness. Maureen is very well versed in Tai Chi as well. This is a fantastic center with fabulous instructors.
