If you want a great workout...Keith is THE Man and the best zumba instructor. Be sure you know…read moreyou're gonna be doing squats...and lots of it. His routines are worthy of a squad dance class and you'll be laughing, sweating and almost dying (in a good way) by end of class. I finally built up the courage to visit this studio for a Zumba class and my mind is a little fuzzy…read morein my after class exhaustion but that is a good thing. The establishment is located in a plaza that can get busy during peak evening hours, mainly, due to the daycare centers. My suggestion is to always turn right out of the plaza and go to the Parker Rd light during those times. It's less of a headache in the long run. Within the facility, there is an office or two, bathrooms, and a cubby area for belongings. The studio itself is nice. It's a medium-sized room with two walls occupied by full-length mirrors and a window respectively. It's comfortable right now (only referring to Zumba) but I can see the need for an additional Zumba time each day, in the near future, if more bodies show up & decide to become regulars. The class was lead by Keith, the owner of the studio and it was high energy. Keith is engaging, full of stamina, entertaining, and an interactive instructor. He can use an assistant to help him juggle various tasks in between classes (i.e. greeting, punching cards, questions, liability release, etc) but he manages. The playlist was non-stop, the music had great rhythm, beats, and sound (thanks to his new subwoofer:)), and the class was full. The class schedule seems to be organized well, offering one of each class available, at least, once a day including weekends. The class times were recently adjusted but seem to work well for most 9 to 5ers. He also has several trial and/or discount offers out there. I look forward to continuing the Zumba classes lead by Keith and the other instructors and eventually working into the other classes available. The studio is also offering virtual classes now so I'm excited to experience that. Now I'm going to moisten this rattle in my chest & nurse my sore, dancing feet but you can soon look for my cameo in Step Up XIV, thanks to Let's Do This!!!

I took my first class at this Pilates Evolution location yesterday and had a fantastic experience…read more The instructor, Katrina, greeted me immediately upon walking in and made sure I was signed in. She recognized that I was new along with one other person, so she showed us both the machine and got us set up. The class itself was great! If you're not familiar with Lagree, it's a style of high-intensity Pilates that combines cardio and strength training. It's very hard and very rewarding. Katrina did a fantastic job of encouraging and pushing us while providing either modifications or ways to make the workout harder. There were some empty machines and I loved this as it meant she was able to demonstrate on one, so I knew exactly what the exercises should look like. I've taken several Lagree classes but still consider myself relatively new to this type of exercise, so I appreciated the visual demonstration. Overall, everyone was very friendly and welcoming. There was also ample free parking. Because of that, the convenient location, and great instruction, I will definitely be back!

I took my very first pilates class in January of 2021. I think everyone remembers something about…read moretheir first class - how hard it was, how it seems like everyone else in the class is a superstar, how you wonder if you'll ever "get there". I remember Plank to Pike, specifically, how I couldn't do it on one light spring (I had to add a spring for more support). My body just couldn't do the movement, I wasn't strong enough. But I kept at it, I kept showing up for class, through the snow storms and sore quads, through all of the growing pains so that one day, I didn't feel like I had to spend more time looking around me to see what everyone else was doing, I could just do the Plank to Pike on one light spring. Earlier this month, I took a camping trip to the southwest, and on one of the days, I rented a sea kayak at Lake Powell - I wanted to see the Slot Canyons. It's a 3-mile kayak trip one way to get to the base of the trail in Antelope Canyon, and then after you hike, you fight the wind blowing against you to paddle the 3 miles back. Besides seeing the beauty and grandeur of the canyon, I had the most amazing experience - I looked down while I was paddling and noticed my arms. They were strong, there was muscle definition I've never had in my life, I looked good! And better than that, I felt good, I felt Strong. I realized that all the core strengthening, all those arm exercises, all those squats and lunges that I had been doing made a difference. I showed up and put in the work, and my body gave it all back to me. I was so tired the day after my kayaking, but it was a "good" tired and a "good" sore - it was the feeling of getting out there and living. #PilatesStrong #PilatesEvolution #Transformation #LiveIntentional

I get my workouts sent to me via the GAIN app on the days that I choose (and changing my days is done easily by texting my trainer) and see my trainer face to face once a month. At first, I was skeptical that I wouldn't hold myself accountable to an app. But I soon realized that my trainer is continuously monitoring my activity, so slacking off was not an option. I do my workouts at home and meet my trainer at her gym. I like the flexibility of being able to change how often I meet with my trainer if I like. Best of all, my body fat percentage went down 7.5% in just 5 months! By the way, my trainer is Kelli. I highly recommend her!
