A neighbor invited me to Ballet Physique in 2016 so I tried their Introductory offer and after 8 of the 10 consecutive days I was hooked!!! I saw a change in my body! I have been a regular ever since! Every instructor is knowledgeable not only in the exercise but in the specific muscles being used. They all are supportive, encouraging, will give many different options for the same exercise. They all are fun, kind and each show a real interest in you as a client. Many friendships are made there too. The owner, Helen, also creates fun incentives to get you to push yourself a little more than you might! Almost 25% of my spine is fused and I have a ton of arthritis. The amazing instructors at The Ballet Physique have all helped me define my body in a way that nothing else could. The instructors all have a background in dance and help every single person with form and function. I e never had something change my body so quickly. I have also tried other facilities that focus on barre, they do a great job as well. I deeply prefer The Ballet Physique. People of all sizes and ages go. There is a rich sense of community. The level of support and camaraderie alone would get me to go. The much loved bonus is the positive changes to our bodies. Even when I ache, I go to barre and then I feel so much better. I am OBSESSED. This studio is amazing. It's a great workout, the instructors have tons of energy to help you fight your way through it and I've already been noticing changes in my muscles after only 3 weeks of classes. It's a hard workout but it is so worth it. Also, kind of a weird comment, but it makes you really enjoy being a girl. I've always been a tomboy and kind of shunned super girly things but the feminine energy in this place is wonderful and encouraging and it keeps me coming back for more. I cannot give this place enough praise. I have spent my entire life dreading all indoor workouts until I came to the Ballet Physique. Thank you so much for making working out not only tolerable, but actually enjoyable. The facility is incredibly clean, merchandise is fantastic, and staff cannot be beat. The front desk ladies are always on top of their game, friendly, and knowledgeable. The owner Kristin is inspirational. I watched her work out almost to the absolute end of her pregnancy and then get back into perfect shape within weeks of having her baby. She is a fantastic teacher and a great motivator. After Running, Boot Camp, Yoga and Power Sculpt classes, I landed in this Ballet Physique class everyone was talking about. It's now the only thing I do. Within 6 weeks (at 3 classes a week) my arms have taken on a new shape, and much to the chagrin of my check book, I have to go buy a new wardrobe as my clothes don't fit anymore. And I agree with the other review that my butt has risen 2 inches. Kristen is a treasure with her knowledge and the way she changes up each class so we'll never get bored. I had the pleasure of taking two classes while in town from NYC. I have taken all types of barre classes from PureBarre, Barre3, FlyBarre, Physique 57 etc. and this studio is even better. The teachers are highly skilled and seem to have a strong dance background making the class difficult for even trained dancers. They always have modifications. The facilities are clean and smells great. My favorite part was that they wrote on a board before class whether you need light weights or heavier ones making the class challenging in two completely different ways. I tried barre for the first time at The Ballet Physique. If you live nearby (heck, even if you don't), you should definitely give their 10 day introductory offer a try--it's a great deal! I attended somewhere between 15 and 20 classes here but wanted to wait to review until I could compare it with other studios in the Denver Metro area. First and foremost, I should say the only reason I even began to look for studios elsewhere is because I live downtown and Littleton is a hike, especially because they don't really have many "after work" options. I liked most of the instructors I had but sometimes felt like I was somewhat invisible--it's hard to explain, but if i've gone to a class multiple times in multiple weeks, it would have been nice for the instructor to know my name or take the time before class to ask for a reminder (some did that, but not all). I wasn't a "regular" (and there are regulars, for sure) so it just seemed like I didn't matter as much; I seldom received praise or corrections, hellos or goodbyes. I think there's a middle ground re: calling people out by name, whether good or bad, and it's sometimes hard to find. There seems to be very little The Ballet Physique could do to improve, but in my opinion, this is one area. Despite the lack of attention, I obviously still really liked The Ballet Physique. Most people in the community were welcoming, the classes were challenging, the instructors offered modifications (and demonstrated them) without being asked, and also, instructors tended not to vocally correct students constantly, which I personally really appreciated. I loved the variety--no two classes were ever the same and I didn't know what came next. I also really liked the fact that classes never got easier. I always left sore and tired, eager to return. Another huge plus for students is that they offer a 15% discount on auto-renewal packages. If I lived in Littleton or Lone Tree, I'd most likely continue to go here, but unfortunately, rush hour traffic is just too unpleasant! read more

Wow! I am loving this place! I needed to mix up my workouts and I always pass this in downtown Littleton. Wasn't sure what it was but it heard of barre classes before. When I walked in the staff was super nice. The studio itself is beautiful, clean, well organized. They do a great deal 10 days for $20 introductory. I absolutely love this studio! I've been taking classes with Kristen Z since 2009 and since the studio opened in 2010. It's SUCH a good workout and it never gets easier. I'm always challenging myself and even though I take 4 classes a week consistently, I'm still gaining muscle and definition. I recently had a baby and once I got the all clear to workout again I was taking classes and dropped the baby weight plus a few extra! Because the workout is low impact, there was no stress on my joints getting back into it, though my muscles were definitely sore! It's also been a great workout as I'm trying to regain ab strength after not using them for about 9 months! As each muscle 'group' is highlighted individually you can get a full body workout easily but you are able to push yourself because you're focusing on individual sections at once. All the instructors are wonderful! Almost all of them have a dance background but they don't make you feel like you are doing it all wrong if you have no dance experience. Every time I take a class, I think that instructor was the hardest but then I take another and it changes my mind. They all have their own unique additions to the classes and they really couldn't be nicer. They also have a small boutique in the studio and the clothes are ADORABLE! This studio offers a creative barre practice in which you will never become bored. I practiced yoga for years. One of the main objectives I have for working out is stress relief (as well as staying in shape of course) and I leave class every time feeling the same way I did after yoga; calm, relaxed and as if I just had a massage. The ballet physique and Pilates physique classes challenge me every time. I have enjoyed watching my body transform, and of course, so has my husband. :) I have never enjoyed a workout as much as I have at this studio. I love this place! The classes are challenging and the instructors are very friendly. I have weak wrists, and have had 2 surgeries on them, so I am not able to do exercises that put a lot of pressure on my wrists. Each of the instructors has taken care to give me modifications that are still challenging, but are easier on my wrists. I've been going for a little over a month, and am loving the way that I feel... stronger and more flexible. My posture is improving too! I have had to make some adjustments in my life in order to be able to afford the classes, but it's been worth every penny! read more

I just completed my 10th class at this studio and I'm in love! I had never taken a barre class before, but grew up taking ballet/tap/jazz and was on my high school drill team. I've always missed dancing and was getting tired of hum drum workouts at the gym... enter my decision to try The Ballet Physique! Admittedly, I was a little intimidated at first - it seems like this studio has a very loyal clientele and I was worried about embarrassing myself in front of everyone (I can't handle more than the 3 lb weights at this point, lol!). I really had nothing to worry about, though! Everyone (both teachers and other clients) has been nothing but super sweet and welcoming. A warm and welcoming studio with a fun, tough workout that will give you great results! Don't be fooled into thinking that "ballet" means a light, fluffy experience -- this is an intense, full-body workout that will leave you exhausted and yet, somehow, eager to come back and do more. I have no idea how they accomplished this, but I have gone from fully-committed couch potato to working out here 4-5 days a week in only a couple of months. Within a few sessions, I started to see results -- more strength, better muscle tone. Every class is fun and challenging, and the instructors mix up the moves and the music enough to keep you interested. It's a great boutique studio. The instructors are very motivating, and the class is both fun and brutal. I've never had such an all over workout. I started here when it opened with the 10 days unlimited for $20. I was so sore after my first 2 classes that I was worried I wouldn't get to use any more of my 10 day pass. I pushed on and my recovery time got quicker each day. Now I buy 1 month of unlimited classes for $150. I go about 5x a week, and after 2 1/2 months of classes I'm still loving it. I wasn't in great shape when I started, hadn't worked out for several years. My flexibility is amazing now, and I feel so strong. The classes are just as hard as the first day I went. I still grimace and my muscles quiver every time I come. After an hour or so after class, the soreness is gone and I'm half tempted to go back for another. The class caps at 17. It's a small studio so I was wondering how they would fit 17 in there. I've been to several classes that were at capacity and was shocked to see that there was room for all. When the classes are full, the instructors rock at utilizing the space well. The only issues I've seen with so many people was not having enough small weights. Looks like they just bought some 5 pound weights, so even that issue has been alleviated. The instructors are so friendly, and are beautiful to watch. They have such great figures that I am motivated watching them. I figure that if they can look that good, so can I some day soon. They keep the tempo upbeat and I love that each one has their own set of music so you can really feel their style. I see so many of the same faces working out as often as me that it gives a real family vibe. You feel like a friend at this studio. For those worried that they aren't in good enough shape for this place, the women coming here are all shapes and sizes and ages. The instructors offer modifications if you have knee pain, or back issues. I could go on gushing for many more paragraphs, but it's time to workout. read more

I have been coming to this studio for a little over a month. I thought I was going to hate it at first as I do not have a dance background, but after the first class I feel in love. This is a total body workout that targets the tiniest of muscles you never thought you had (until the next day). Unfortunately I can only make it to the Monday and/or Tuesday Noon classes (as I have a little one I have to pick up from daycare). But even 1x or 2x a week is enough for me. This is the quickest workout class ever. Although it's an hour, the class flies by as you are so engaged/interested with what is going on you do not have time to look at the clock, and if you do you've noticed it's already been 40 minutes. Who knew you could get a full total body work out in 1 hour. Every class is fun and challenging, and the instructors mix up the moves and the music, no one class is ever alike. Although I am exhausted at the end of my workout, I am eager to get back to the studio for another amazing workout. The staff is so welcoming they make it a point to greet you and learn your name so you feel welcome every time you enter the studio. The instructors here are all great and super friendly. The classes are small and you get lots of personal attention. They are very detailed in their instruction and play fun music. They will come around and correct your form if you need it but you don't feel put on the spot or called out. They are discreet. Kristen Z and her amazing instructors give women a workout like nobody's business! they KNOW how to target the problem areas on a woman's body (butt, arms, abs, legs) without using the masculine traditional workout techniques. it's called BALLET physique b/c they incorporate ballet positions and moves into the workouts to better sculpt and tone a woman's body....so that you hope to have a body of that of Bethenny Frankel instead of Jillian Michaels (yikes!). Each class is as hard as the last one! The instructors make it fun yet intense. If you have some extra cash each month and want to develop a dancer-type body like Kristen Z, this is the place. Most of us who come to class each week are addicted to this workout....despite how painful of a workout it is! It's just one hour in your day....come try a class (ballet physique is the most popular) and you'll see why we can't stop coming back. Best barre workout I've found. I've tried pure barre, barre forte, barre3, and barre classes in fort collins. Since they're locally owned and not tied to specific class structure like other bigger companies, you get really fun class varieties for everything you need in a workout (cardio, weights, stretch) and keeps you from plateauing. The instructors are great, the price is the most competitive I've seen in this category, and customer service is solid. read more

I have been doing group exercise consistently for 10 years and have tried everything from kickboxing to yoga. I was lucky enough to run across Kristen's Ballet Physique class at the Cherry Creek Athletic club. I can NOT say enough about The Ballet Physique technique or Kristen. I became completely HOOKED after just one class. Her style of instruction is easy to follow, yet challenges you past what you thought you could possibly do. I left each class with legs trembling and feeling like I'd done something really intense and fantastic for my body. I recently moved from Denver to Plano Texas and have been pining for The Ballet Physique like crazy. I can't find anything like it here and am heartbroken, literally! It is the perfect workout, low-impact, but high intensity. No other form of exercise can duplicate it. I had already begun to see results after just a few weeks (2+ classes a week) with Kristen. Previously I'd spent years doing weight lifting and much higher impact type classes, without seeing any change in my body. With The Ballet Physique I saw changes in my seat, arms and abs within a couple weeks. The work out is great. But the customer service is rather poor. You are not greeted as you enter the business, even if you are the only person in the room. When you leave no one speaks to you. if you have a question, you wait at the desk until the co-owners finish their discussion about last nights dinner. i brought a friend to try the work out-when we left neither the owner or the other instructor spoke to her about her experience (and we were the only ones in the office). All these women are great during class- but once class is over they have no interest in you at all--even a simple hello or good-bye would be nice. i have been attending classes for two years and I am really thinking about changing studios. read more

I love, love, love this studio! The instructors push me to my limit, however they do it in such a motivating and encouraging way that I don't run out crying as if I just went to boot camp! They push, motivate, encourage, and it works perfect! The classes are changed up a bit each time so you will not get bored. Each muscle is worked in such a way that before you know it you have worked out your entire body. Everyone is there for the same reason too, to push yourself mentally and physically. It has been about a year since I started attending classes at the Ballet Physique. I really love the staff and the classes are great. When I take a week off I can really feel the struggle my body has getting back into it so I can tell that they really are very effective. I like how clean the studio is and how friendly the staff is. Everyone learns your name after a few times going and I appreciate that. Another plus is that you are able to sign up for classes ahead of time using an app. It is nice not having to worry about getting there early in order to get a spot. The Ballet Physique is the most intense yet enjoyable fitness class I have EVER taken. My overall body strength has improved so much over the last few months and I love how great I feel when I leave class. Kristen is a great motivator. She is encouraging and totally non-judgemental. The class changes every week which I love because in so many fitness classes you do the same thing every week but with The Ballet Physique there is a new challenge and a great variety of different exercises in every class.
