We moved to Denver in November and I started at Manic right away, recommended by a friend, and I couldn't be more thankful. There are people there from all walks of life and fitness levels but you work as hard as YOU can with no judgement. Pete (the owner) will push you hard, and the workouts are hard, the payoff is worth every second! I can feel a difference just if I skip one day. I have lost 14lbs in 4 months. For those of you who have injuries this is a great place to go! Pete works around all injuries and strengthens muscles to help your injuries. I have a spine issue, spondylolisthesis, that I got while playing sports in high school. Since having kids I have been in severe pain, some days I couldn't stand straight up and ended up getting steroid shots in my back. In December I was scheduled to have a procedure to numb some nerves in my spine to help with the issue but after going to manic and strengthening my core and legs I have Zero pain and ended up canceling my surgery. To say manic changed my life is an understatement. Highly highly recommend!!! Try it out!

His routines are worthy of a squad dance class and you'll be laughing, sweating and almost dying (in a good way) by end of class. I finally built up the courage to visit this studio for a Zumba class and my mind is a little fuzzy…read morein my after class exhaustion but that is a good thing. The establishment is located in a plaza that can get busy during peak evening hours, mainly, due to the daycare centers. My suggestion is to always turn right out of the plaza and go to the Parker Rd light during those times. It's less of a headache in the long run. Within the facility, there is an office or two, bathrooms, and a cubby area for belongings. The studio itself is nice. It's a medium-sized room with two walls occupied by full-length mirrors and a window respectively. It's comfortable right now (only referring to Zumba) but I can see the need for an additional Zumba time each day, in the near future, if more bodies show up & decide to become regulars. The class was lead by Keith, the owner of the studio and it was high energy. Keith is engaging, full of stamina, entertaining, and an interactive instructor. He can use an assistant to help him juggle various tasks in between classes (i.e. greeting, punching cards, questions, liability release, etc) but he manages. The playlist was non-stop, the music had great rhythm, beats, and sound (thanks to his new subwoofer:)), and the class was full. The class schedule seems to be organized well, offering one of each class available, at least, once a day including weekends. The class times were recently adjusted but seem to work well for most 9 to 5ers. He also has several trial and/or discount offers out there. I look forward to continuing the Zumba classes lead by Keith and the other instructors and eventually working into the other classes available. The studio is also offering virtual classes now so I'm excited to experience that. Now I'm going to moisten this rattle in my chest & nurse my sore, dancing feet but you can soon look for my cameo in Step Up XIV, thanks to Let's Do This!!!

They have machines that track your progress and customize your weights to maximize the workout. My wife says she's noticed the difference. I like that the Tabata (high intensity) aerobic workouts are 15 minutes and the weight lifting is 30. I can get a great workout in less than an hour.

Parts of my review below are cut from my Columbine location review, but they still stand. Two YEARS of going to the gym on a fairly regular basis is huge for me... The music is more geared to adults (30s, 40s) than the 20s, but most of the clientle is in that age group or older anyway. Every employee I've met (pretty sure I'm met them all at this point) is so friendly and helpful, and they all work to be able to great you by name when you come in. HUGE plus: It does not smell like a gym. It's very spa like and peaceful, actually. There are no locker rooms but the restroom is big enough to do a quick change if you have to come there in street clothes. The pricing may be a negative to some, but if you are serious about strength training, you'd be using a personal trainer at a cheaper gym at least occasionally. At Koko, you have the smartrainer pacing you every time, coming up with a new lifting plan every time, and the staff is there to check if you have form problems. Your strength gains are re-evaluated every 12 lifting sessions to keep you on track for continued gains. This is not circuit training, where you have to wait for a machine and it takes twice as long to complete your workout. All strength training is done on ONE machine. Love it! There is no childcare available, so if you have little ones you have to bring with you this won't be the gym for you. I am lucky in that mine are old enough to stay home so I can have an hour of "me" time at the gym
