I have been to Title and Easton for boxing, but I appreciate the super small class sizes (max of 8 for boxing), direct attention and instruction, and community feel of Gemini. The coaches, Dave, TJ, and Dion, all have tons of experience and are incredibly helpful. The other people at this gym are also warm and welcoming. I haven't done Jiu-Jitsu there yet, but I go to the boxing and kickboxing classes regularly, and bootcamp every once in a blue moon. I definitely recommend this place--the small groups lead to a lot of personalized support and it's an excellent value. It was following a surgery I had that a surgeon cleared me to return to work after. The "manager" Anne, was apparently offended by my passion to return to work and get the appropriate "board members" the surgical clearance I had, so therefore I should be disallowed from taking classes I literally helped make up? It doesn't make sense to me and I have been asking for months for an explanation bc I loyally and passionately gave Palango hours of my day almost everyday, and often with literally nothing in return (working for free is a whole 'nother story, but not the reason they EARNED a one star review). I could elaborate for ages, but I'm sure you get it. My advice? If you want to fall in love with your workouts, with a community... never ever consider working for these people- they may let you have it. A workout and community you love. But they also may take it away and ban you from even saying goodbye to people you've known almost daily for a decade with no consideration and no explanation. The instructors are incredibly patient, motivating and kind. I feel so fortunate to have had the opportunity to train with these strong and skilled instructors, particularly Master H and Master Natzke. There are also a myriad of wonderful junior and adult assistant instructors and I love each of them. When I sprained my ankle numerous times last year and have gone through other medical issues, the administrative staff were understanding and supportive and I had no issues pausing my account. There is such a great atmosphere and it truly is a UMAC family - I highly recommend visiting for a free class.
