I'm so glad I found my workout home in FLY! FLY offers a great mix of different classes from beginner to advanced, and all the instructors are so friendly and make it a point to get to know you and coach you during the group classes. There are classes during the day, night and weekends that you can cater to your schedule. I started going to FLY just a few months ago and knew nothing about it kickboxing. I already feel like I'm getting the hang of it and better at it! Their boxing bags have sensors that measure your impacts which make it easy to track your progress throughout each class. Came here through ClassPass and it was super fun! I workout on a regular basis and that's usually.. running, biking, spin classes, yoga, and weights- but it's nice to do something different especially kickboxing/boxing. FLY Kickbox is close to where I'm staying until I head back home to SD, so this was really convenient for me. Nice, simple, and clean studio in a really cool space (Stanley Market). I came here after work and the owners were so nice and welcoming. Helped me put my wraps on and got me started for the class. It was high energy even if there were only like 6-8 people in the class! Had such a great workout and it was a great way relieve some stress.. especially right after work. I would definitely recommend this studio - it's a good workout, everyone is nice, and it's not intimidating! read more

FLY kickbox - Gyms Near Me - Aurora, Colorado

This place is a must-try if you have any interest in kickboxing at all! I had zero prior experience in kickboxing before I walked in to my first Beginner class at Fly, and I'm now a regular. From day one, the instructors have been incredibly welcoming, friendly, and encouraging! Every instructor at Fly is fantastic, and I love the variety of workouts they offer (some are more technique focused, some involve a strength circuit, and some are just straight kickboxing). The added bag technology which converts to a score on a scoreboard is a fun and unique addition! There's also an app that keeps a history of your scores. Comparing my current scores to my past scores, I'm able to see objectively how much progress I've made. If you're brand new to kickboxing, I would recommend starting with a Beginner class. The pace is slower and the instructors have more time to break down form and technique. If it's your first time, arrive 10 minutes early and the instructor will help you wrap your hands and get you situated. They will also loan you a pair of gloves if you don't have your own. All in all I had an excellent class and I plan to return. However I started the class with my camera off very intentionally and I did double check this. By the end of the class the instructor was addressing me by name and obviously could see me. I went over to my phone (which was connected to my TV and the screen was pinned to the instructor so I could not see myself or I would have noticed this sooner) and saw my camera was turned on. I'm not sure if this was a glitch or if the instructor intentionally turns everyone's camera on from their end at the start of class. But for the sake of privacy, if the instructor does turn everyone's camera on, I would highly recommend rethinking this going forward. If someone starts class with their camera off, it's safe to assume they want it to stay that way. I have taken probably close to 100 Zoom classes and this has never happened which is why I think it was either a glitch or something initiated on their end. With that being said, it really was a great class and a tremendous workout. I liked that I got to use my heavy bag for most of the exercises. Just think there might be some kinks to work out regarding utilizing online platforms for video classes. read more

FLY rescued me from succumbing to "Dead Butt Disease" during the pandemic. This is the most amazing community that really cares about your workout and making you healthier and stronger! Instructors are fantastic! They really teach you in a virtual setting... I've done almost 175 virtual classes but only half a dozen of their in studio workouts as I live in another state, and they always make me feel I am right there in class with them!! If you are in the Denver area though, in studio class is such high energy and doesn't drag... combos are fun and challenging and music increases the vibe of the class. Overall, a great in person or virtual kickboxing class! And The Stanley is such a cool venue to grab a bite or beer after (probably not before!) Highly recommend! read more

I felt comfortable from the moment I stepped into FLY. I ended up taking advantage of their bogo sale and signed up for two classes with two different instructors. I've taken the Technical Knockout class so far and Cory was beyond incredible! He was gracious with my newness to the sport and was constantly checking in with those in the class and provided feedback/support, even though the class was pretty full. We have been working out at Fly since the beginning and love it. The killer workout, the fantastic instruction, and the amazing community. With the COVID quarantine, Jamaica and Tom have made sure to offer virtual classes to keep us moving. I honestly don't know where I would be without those classes to keep me motivated and to keep my spirits up. I love the app that you can look at to see your progress over time. It calculates how hard you hit and the number of times to hit the bag. Full disclosure: It has been well over a year since my last class at Fly....and it was via a "zoom" call nonetheless! Hahaha. However, I recently saw a post on Facebook that honored Fly coaches with kind words and a group photo. It was the photo that immediately brought me back. When I left Denver two years ago, I also left behind people who I admire and consider an extended family. The coaches at Fly pushed me to exhaustion and I loved every minute. You can sense that they really care about each of their members. They promote an environment where memories are created through personal achievement, quite a bit of sweat, and friendships. Their workouts are challenging but fun, and their equipment is top notch and sophisticated. Although it's been a while, I will never forget Fly or the coaches there. Fly offers one of the toughest and most fun workouts in Denver! They have an awesome group of instructors that are highly trained and keep classes interesting and different. The sensors on each bag track impact and force, and produces an overall score. Every class I try to improve my score, and seeing the scores of my friends and classmates is great motivation to push a little harder. Fly Kickbox is one of the best workout studios I have ever been a part of. Jamaica, Tom, and the other instructors are welcoming, informed, and highly motivating.
