This review is for the old location in Stapleton, since the move to the new location didn't happen…read moreuntil just a couple days before the end of my 6-Week Challenge. The coaches, Neil and Denise are awesome! They are friendly, knowledgeable, encouraging, and motivating, without being too overpowering or intimidating. The gym (old location) was in what looked like a really old apartment building. The space was too small for my own comfort if there were more than say 6 people there working out at a time (Saturdays...augh!), but I am not fond of small spaces with too many people (no one else seemed to be bothered by this, so it is just a personal opinion). There is plenty of, as well as a good variety of equipment to workout with. The coaches incorporate standard (well-known) weigh-lifting moves along with some new moves that you can definitely feel working (I love learning new fitness moves to keep the workouts interesting). I did feel we kept with pretty much the same workouts each week, though, and just tweaked it by increasing weight/resistance, so I wish that had changed more often. That being said, it WAS just a 6-week program I was in, so it probably wasn't long enough to change the workout much. I do remember Denise explaining in the beginning why they do it that way, but just can't remember the reason right now. (On the new location at Kearney St.): They opened their doors this past Friday, so I used it twice. It is a perfect size now, with an extra room to use if you need more space. It is still in the process of getting all the equipment there..kettlebells, maybe some weight racks, etc, but it looks promising. I would highly recommend giving this gym a try! You won't be disappointed! Highly Satisfied, Bobbi Kusk PS: I did reach my goal in the 6 weeks...YAAAYYY!!! I'm down 12 pounds and 8% bodyfat, and plan to stick to the diet and exercise (though more outdoor fitness now that the weather is perfect for it‍‍‍‍ Thank you Lodestone Strength (Neil & Denise)! ‍

This review is specifically for the layout of the weights on the second floor. More specifically,…read morethe location of the bench press (2) and incline bench (1). The position of the two bench presses and incline bench are pushed up against the wall on the East side of the building. Right where the steel reinforcement beams are located which leaves NO space to safely spot your partner without hitting your head or back on one of those beams. You cannot even get behind them without crawling around the weights or beams themselves. This is incredibly dangerous and a major safety issue. Whomever designed the layout of the weight room does not appear to have experience with weight training. The nautilus machines and free weight areas should probably be switched. There is nowhere to safely stretch (people do it under the stairs) or do ab exercises, box jumps, etc. Someone, with knowledge of weight training, should redesign the space for efficiency and safety.

This facility has a wall of huge windows with a beautiful view of the mountains. It's kept up & clean. There's always plenty of parking...there are even charging stations for electric vehicles. Note, membership is free for Denver residents that are 60+ & those ages 5-18. With membership you have access to all 30 Denver rec centers & pools. I regularly go to two classes - one is a Cardio & Strength class & the other is Tai Chi, both are drop-in. The instructors are fun & very knowledgeable. Christine teaches the cardio class & always demonstrates modifications, so it's perfect for all levels of fitness. Maureen is very well versed in Tai Chi as well. This is a fantastic center with fabulous instructors.

I took the opportunity to explore another gym and I learned a lesson in what isn't good in the fitness business. 24-Hour Fitness allows me to pay for a year at a time, the associate took care to explain all costs up front, and what you see is what you get. The other gym I went to told me I would could pay for a basic $15/month membership up front for a year ($180) and the associate filled all the paperwork out for me. When the contract came by email I found they put me on a month-to-month contract, tacked on a hidden fee of $79 (not mentioned by the associate at all), and jacked the monthly rate up to $17.98 because I used a credit card. I'm so glad to be back at 24-Hour Fitness, and the new remodel is really great!

They have paper towels and a spray bottle of disinfectant spray at 2 locations on the main floor and 1 location upstairs. As a result most gym paitrens don't wipe down the equipment. One last thing, there are several people who slam the free weights, grunt and scream while working out. The staff does nothing about this.

The biggest benefit of Scott's program is the intentionality of the progression. He focuses on weight lifting and a holistic fitness and nutrition plan that is both challenging and sustainable. Working with Scott has completely shifted my physical trajectory. I regained back some of the strength I lost as well as built a level of stamina and discipline that has positively impacted my energy levels in both my personal and professional life. If you are looking to rebuild muscle mass and functional strength through a high-accountability, results-oriented program, I cannot recommend Scott highly enough!

I'm in my 40s and hadn't been my healthiest self since the pandemic, plus I had very little experience lifting. Weight racks always felt overwhelming and intimidating, so I knew I wanted someone local I could trust for one-on-one coaching. Working with Will through Scott Beall's program has been exactly what I needed. Will is patient, observant, and incredibly encouraging -- he meets you where you are but still pushes you to grow. He explains form in a way that actually sticks, pays close attention to safety, and creates an environment that feels supportive rather than intimidating, which mattered a lot as a beginner. After just a few months, I feel noticeably stronger, I'm seeing real gains, and I'm doing lifts I never thought I'd feel comfortable attempting. It's shifted how I think about my long-term health and made the gym feel far more accessible overall. If you're looking to build strength, lose weight, and learn something new in a supportive environment, I highly recommend talking to Scott and working with Will -- especially for women 40+ who want to feel more powerful and confident in their bodies.
