Some of this feedback is time sensitive due to COVID: The…read moretoughest thing about doing a class here are the masks. It's hard to hear/understand what the instructor is saying because of the masks. Additionally, because of the masks, it is hard to focus on listening. My neighbor suggested I go at a time when you had to wear masks in the gym but not during the workout. This changed when I went to my class and masks were/are being required during the workout. Towards the end of the class, Courtney, the instructor was on her phone for a few minutes and seemed distracted. The instructor spoke very quickly during the class and it was hard to keep up because the orientation to how everything worked seemed more sales focus than making sure I knew what was happening. They have you fill out a prying questionnaire before the class about "How much money are you willing to spend on your goal?" and other intrusive questions. After the class, I let them know that I wouldn't be interested in signing up for anything while masks are required. It's too distracting for me. During the class, they did imply that being distracted by the masks was an excuse. I asked to be removed from future communication twice already. I just received another pushy text this morning. I'm concerned these people do not have any boundaries. I understand the nature of businesses and sales cycles, but, it seems overpriced and they don't listen.

Really sad to have to cancel, but everyone at this location has been so nice and Julia is so…read moremotivating and really makes the whole class personalized even when you are surrounded by people!

First - their new address is 5055 S Kipling: they are in the back corner. I've been using them for…read moreover 3 years. They have machines that track your progress and customize your weights to maximize the workout. My wife says she's noticed the difference. I like that the Tabata (high intensity) aerobic workouts are 15 minutes and the weight lifting is 30. I can get a great workout in less than an hour.

LOVE KoKo Fitclub! I joined the original Colorado location at Columbine 2 years ago and moved over…read moreto the Ken Caryl location as it was more convenient for me. Parts of my review below are cut from my Columbine location review, but they still stand. Two YEARS of going to the gym on a fairly regular basis is huge for me... The music is more geared to adults (30s, 40s) than the 20s, but most of the clientle is in that age group or older anyway. Every employee I've met (pretty sure I'm met them all at this point) is so friendly and helpful, and they all work to be able to great you by name when you come in. HUGE plus: It does not smell like a gym. It's very spa like and peaceful, actually. There are no locker rooms but the restroom is big enough to do a quick change if you have to come there in street clothes. The pricing may be a negative to some, but if you are serious about strength training, you'd be using a personal trainer at a cheaper gym at least occasionally. At Koko, you have the smartrainer pacing you every time, coming up with a new lifting plan every time, and the staff is there to check if you have form problems. Your strength gains are re-evaluated every 12 lifting sessions to keep you on track for continued gains. This is not circuit training, where you have to wait for a machine and it takes twice as long to complete your workout. All strength training is done on ONE machine. Love it! There is no childcare available, so if you have little ones you have to bring with you this won't be the gym for you. I am lucky in that mine are old enough to stay home so I can have an hour of "me" time at the gym

I was looking for a small studio where I could workout without having to worry about lots of people…read morein the same area. Steph the owner was super helpful and was able to work with me! I reached out to her on a Sunday to see if I could just do a monthly package a few days a week and by Thursday I had my first session. I also was able to go week by week until I left town which was super helpful. Ross was my trainer and was helpful and added a variety to the workout which is not something I could have done on my own. Thank you both!! Also the studio was clean and followed all covid rules! I felt safe working out and everything was cleaned after use.

Few, and I mean very few, reviews I do are five stars because nobody is perfect, even Stef. That…read morebeing said, Stef is perfect for me and for my needs and that rates five stars in my book. Stef is such a sweetheart but a tough trainer, she'll figure out where you want to go with your fitness and get you there in a very responsible and fun way. One of the things that really touches me about Stef is how very vested she is in her clients. I've seen her near tears talking about successes she has been able to encourage in others and you can see that this is a genuine love of what she does. Stef wants to be the positive force in your life and she wants to watch you transform, I sense that the money earned from this is simply the extra benefit of being an agent of positive change. It's really easy in the fitness industry to not be a good representative of what you are teaching. We've all seen the overweight trainer, the inflexible yoga teacher and the nutritionist that you can swear smells like a Big Mac right then. Stef is not any of those things - she is not a poser. She lives what she teaches and loves every aspect of the fitness and nutrition that she helps you with. You have to respect that. I do. For me, personally, my transformation has been more than I had hoped for. I always hurt for two or three days after seeing Stef and am that much stronger when I see her again. Run, don't walk, to the nearest phone or computer and give this lady a call. But, if you book her so solid that I can't get my Stef time then we're going to have some words!
