Manic is one of the best gyms/boot camps I have ever been to. I grew up being an athlete but had…read morelost myself once having kids. We moved to Denver in November and I started at Manic right away, recommended by a friend, and I couldn't be more thankful. There are people there from all walks of life and fitness levels but you work as hard as YOU can with no judgement. Pete (the owner) will push you hard, and the workouts are hard, the payoff is worth every second! I can feel a difference just if I skip one day. I have lost 14lbs in 4 months. For those of you who have injuries this is a great place to go! Pete works around all injuries and strengthens muscles to help your injuries. I have a spine issue, spondylolisthesis, that I got while playing sports in high school. Since having kids I have been in severe pain, some days I couldn't stand straight up and ended up getting steroid shots in my back. In December I was scheduled to have a procedure to numb some nerves in my spine to help with the issue but after going to manic and strengthening my core and legs I have Zero pain and ended up canceling my surgery. To say manic changed my life is an understatement. Highly highly recommend!!! Try it out!

Additionally, the gym continues to charge membership fees even after cancellation and claims they are unable to issue refunds. I recommend choosing a different gym.

This was quite an experience. I went on a whim with a female friend of mine that had been going for…read morea year or so. Cardio is kind of my thing when it comes to working out. I find flexibility and strong cardio make me a better "intimate" partner. I think more people should keep this in mind... The class was about forty five minutes and started slowly then moved on to more rigorous routines. It's a very friendly and supportive environment that I really enjoyed. You can stop or slow down anytime you need to. The instructor, a very fit woman, was encouraging but never condescending or aggressive. I left sweating and tired. It was a really good way to start the day. I don't know the cost as my girlfriend either paid for me or used a guest pass of some kind. I will write an update after I attend again soon that will encompass prices, etc.

I was excited to try this place, but it was difficult to contact them. They never returned my…read morevoicemails, and were closed the two mornings I stopped by during the open hours printed on their door. I ended up texting that phone line and someone texted back that I could come to a free class. I showed up at the agreed upon time, but the instructor hadn't known to expect me. He said few words to me while I signed a liability waiver. I explained that I'd had surgery to reattach my biceps 8 months ago, so I wanted to be careful with that arm. He shrugged and said, "You'll be alright." As the class got going, I didn't know what was going on or what station to go to. He put us in two groups but there were lots of stations all around, so I just floated aimlessly, trying to do the exercises. After class, I walked over to ask him about membership since I still didn't know costs. He ushered me out the door saying, "Get some rest!" So that was that. No follow up. Ummm, okay.

I was referred here by my long time person family doctor, and I've been training here twice a week…read moresince January, so 6 months at this writing. I like the trainers and their motivating, can do attitudes. They pay attention to your needs including injuries or limitations that you may have. The class sizes are good, and the variety in the work outs is unbeatable. While I may see exercises repeat throughout the weeks it's never so much that I expect it or come to know the routine. The equipment is well maintained and organized. The shower rooms and restrooms are clean and well stocked. Most of all I've seen results!!! Inches off in just a few months and so much better conditioning. My outdoor running has improved in speed and distance and I feel great. And I have not seen any plateauing- whenever you improve you are able to challenge yourself in class to keep the workout intensity. I highly recommend this gym. I know it is more pricey than others but you get what you pay for...in this case the care of a personal trainer in a group led high intensity interval workout with serious results!

Some of this feedback is time sensitive due to COVID: The…read moretoughest thing about doing a class here are the masks. It's hard to hear/understand what the instructor is saying because of the masks. Additionally, because of the masks, it is hard to focus on listening. My neighbor suggested I go at a time when you had to wear masks in the gym but not during the workout. This changed when I went to my class and masks were/are being required during the workout. Towards the end of the class, Courtney, the instructor was on her phone for a few minutes and seemed distracted. The instructor spoke very quickly during the class and it was hard to keep up because the orientation to how everything worked seemed more sales focus than making sure I knew what was happening. They have you fill out a prying questionnaire before the class about "How much money are you willing to spend on your goal?" and other intrusive questions. After the class, I let them know that I wouldn't be interested in signing up for anything while masks are required. It's too distracting for me. During the class, they did imply that being distracted by the masks was an excuse. I asked to be removed from future communication twice already. I just received another pushy text this morning. I'm concerned these people do not have any boundaries. I understand the nature of businesses and sales cycles, but, it seems overpriced and they don't listen.
