Utterly uncomfortable & unhappy. This is a review for Footprints Yoga, located inside Ascent…read moreFitness. I purchased a Groupon for Footprints Yoga and was excited to learn a different style of Yoga. I had been going to another studio in Denver and I love it. I didn't realize that this yoga studio was located inside a small gym (directly off the freeway). If you decide to go, please note you'll need to drive past it, turn down a street, go through an alley, then drive through the Sherman-Williams parking lot to get to the place. It doesn't say Footprints Yoga anywhere on the building either, just Ascent Fitness. I entered and was greeted cheerfully and shown to the yoga studio. A tiny, tattooed young man apologetically told me he would be my instructor for the class and that the most important thing I needed to do right away was fill out a consent form that relieved them of any legal responsibility if I got injured, (all without making eye contact with me). Then he scampered off to a corner in the studio to intently examine his smartphone. For the duration of my time there, he didn't make a single effort to engage me in any conversation, and his body language and demeanor indicated he would rather be anywhere else. I went to the locker room to change. Very nice, Ascent Fitness, you are the reason this review has two stars. Footprints gets zero. The locker rooms were clean and I loved that the keys were already in the locks and attached to a clothespin, brilliant! I came back to the studio, put my mat down and tried to get focused for class. The ambient noise from the gym in the next room was so loud I couldn't concentrate. That, and the yoga instructor kept dragging bags across the floor, and the personal trainers kept shouting "Five more pushups!" and in general the entire atmosphere was the opposite of the calm, nurturing, serene place I was craving. To top it all off, 6:15pm rolled around and I looked around and saw that I was the ONLY person in the class. I haven't felt so uncomfortable, so out of place, and so conspicuous in a long time. I couldn't take it anymore, and I left.

Personal training, group fitness and small group training highlight this bright, friendly gym, but they have so much more to offer! And did I mention they do couples massage? After working out there, you will soon feel like part of the community at Ascent!

I love the fact that they have a very robust schedule so you can select the time that works the best for you. Definitely on a cheaper side when it comes to the Pilates classes, and they have several great options for your pass. It's good for all levels, you will 100% break some sweat (they provide a nice cold towel afterwards so it'll be for sure the best immediate reward). Easy parking is a huge plus in my books. All you need is a yoga mat, water bottle and a towel!

From the coaches, the HAVN team, and classmates you feel so at home. Pilates was a foreign language to me when I started attending classes and now I try to make it 3-4 times a week. After each class I honestly feel ready to conquer literally anything life throws at me. I feel mentally alert, emotionally fulfilled, and sweaty as a mf! I wholeheartedly recommend you take a class with the HAVN team, an incredible experience!

My experience with HOTWORX Centennial was extremely disappointing, not because of one mistake, but…read morebecause of how they chose to handle feedback afterward. I reached out multiple times trying to sign up for a membership and received no response. Instead of taking accountability or offering a professional apology, I later received a hostile and insulting response on Instagram after leaving an honest review. I was mocked for expecting communication from a business, accused of wanting "instant gratification," and told I was hurting their business over a "minuscule first world problem." That level of unprofessionalism speaks for itself. Businesses miss messages sometimes -- that's understandable. What is NOT understandable is attacking a potential customer personally for expressing frustration. Customer service and professionalism matter, especially in the fitness industry where people are looking for a welcoming and supportive environment. The response I received completely changed my perception of this studio and confirmed that I made the right decision not to join.

It was ridiculously easy to sign up for a membership, I was able to do everything online and then picked a time for my safety orientation at the studio where I paid and got my required gear. I got to meet the owner and the staff, and everybody was so professional, pleasant, and helpful. I'm a little baffled that anyone would have difficulty signing up for a membership, the website made it incredibly easy and I found all the information I needed. This location is super clean and everything works. The other members are polite and kind. I go almost everyday, I am psyched to be on the leaderboards and the summer burn challenge has been really fun. The app is easy to use. All the gear I've bought from them (heat-resistant mat, towels, row gloves) has been great. I'm looking forward to using my earn-the-burn points from the Summer Challenge to get some free swag. Hot iso and sauna training has been life-changing for me.

This is a long overdue review…read more Iron Clad fitness is awesome and will most definitely whip you into shape. I was first introduced to this place during a Yelp event but later continued coming to the center for a month because I won a free month through a raffle. It was hard for me to come out to classes since I was/am in a graduate program and I already had automatic membership to my apartment gym as well as an additional membership to my school gym but the trips I did make were absolutely worth it. This gym is small but effective. You know kettle bells are a good workout since the owner Shari is super fit and built. I wish I had arms like hers! She helps each member with their posture and form and makes sure that you are pushing yourself (but not to the point of danger). You get special attention and personal training with each class you go to because class sizes are never too big. There's a lot of kettle bell training as well as yoga and TRX training. Kettle bells really get you sore afterward so a yoga session following a kettle bell class is a nice treat. Prior to this class I had absolutely no experience with kettle bells. Now I am a definite advocate for them and have been incorporating them into my personal workout routines. Come here if you're looking to get fit in a nurturing learning environment with folks who really make you feel like you're part of a team.
