Over a year later, I do pop squats and every other crazy, fun, challenging workout that she prepares. I am stronger and fitter than I've ever been and even better, I finally know what it means to fuel my body with healthy foods, so that every workout builds on the previous one. I love this gym but everything is always broken... Today I…read moregot on my first treadmill and it was unplugged, easy fix? Sure. Before plugging it in I move to another and the screen wasn't working. Okay moving on through my workout 1st stationary bike, screen broken. Moved to gym floor & started the circuit machines - only 1 of 6 not working today. Better than usual I suppose. Workout completed One of my favorite things about this gym is the recover area, so I went to do the leg compression. 1st set (size small) air leak in zone 1. Next set (size small) air leak zone 1. Sitting in 3rd chair down, decide I'll just stick with this set and skip zone one but the chair is broken and won't lean back at all. Decide if I am going to switch chairs at this point I should grab another set but then I was informed the other two sets left out all had leaks too. So I do my 10 minutes with leaks and sitting up straight. Swing by the front desk because I've been a member for over a year and this is pretty much a regular visit here. Once during a GTX class the front plate of the treadmill just fell off while the girl next to me was on it. All we could do was laugh Hate to complain but decide it's time to say something although I've heard from other members it won't change anything... I give it a shot. I report all the items while my husband orders us two protein shakes (about $21) and she said I can file a concern on the app or she can relay the message Monday. I have no intention of figuring out how to report each thing on the app, I honestly don't care that much because we can always switch gyms but I thought I'd give a heads up to anyone considering joining. I do love lots of things about this gym but it's not seeming to be worth the price tag currently. Some pros include the private sauna's in each bathroom and their additional coed saunas by the pool. The pool area in general is awesome, the kids love the slide and the snack bar (not outrageous but priced like you are at a beach club) They do have an adequate amount of equipment, so even with a bunch of broken things I can usually find enough other things to do to complete my workout. Many times my watch shows a decibel level of 97+ decibels. That is not healthy. The cafe there has a motto that says, "if it's here it's healthy". That is not true with the classes because the music is so loud it will damage your hearing and nobody wants that. And nobody wants the instructor to be yelling constantly. That is not motivating. This happens in more than one class with more than one instructor. Not sure what they are thinking.

There is way too much room dedicated to classes at this gym as well. Good luck trying to get an actual lift in when they have the vast majority of the platforms reserved. Cleanliness gets a 2/10. Stop sending teenagers to clean the gym floor in the middle of the day, it makes it extremely annoying to work out. No one likes breathing in those chemicals, or having a broom basically under their foot mid workout. They should really have an after hours cleaning team come in considering this is a "luxury" gym. I understand the casual cleaning but a midday deep clean should not be done at the detriment of those working out. It's also weird because there is still so much dust all over this place. The men here are much creepier than other locations, I've had multiple of them make weird comments and witnessed them recording women. I've gone to a variety of gym around Colorado, including other Lifetime locations, and haven't seen this behavior as much in those other places. The major saving grace of this gym is that the staff is very friendly. The trainers are approachable and the newer ones are very knowledgeable. All this being said, I do still drop into this gym when I'm in the area but do not enjoy working out here nearly as much as other gyms.

Surprise fees, terrible service, and now threats of collections…read more I joined VASA Fitness's top Studio membership for over $40 a month after seeing "no initiation fee" advertised online and hearing the same from a representative. In my SECOND MONTH, I was charged a $59.99 "rate guarantee fee" that nobody clearly explained to me before I signed up. My bank flagged the unexpected transaction as suspected fraud and declined it. VASA then added a $25 returned payment fee. When I tried to cancel, I was told I would have to pay ANOTHER $25 cancellation fee. I was also told that if I did not pay, charges would continue and the unpaid balance could go to collections. So a membership advertised at $40-something a month has now left me facing roughly $140 in charges, and getting out means yet another fee. How is this an acceptable way to treat a new customer? Advertising "no initiation fee" and then charging $59.99 in the second month under a different name feels like a bait and switch. Calling it a "rate guarantee fee" does not fix the lack of clear disclosure. Explain EVERY required fee before taking someone's bank information. The gym is packed, and customer service was awful. The phone representative I spoke with was rude, impatient, and unhelpful. Instead of resolving the billing issue, the response was more fees and the possibility of collections. I joined a gym to work out, not to fight surprise charges or feel trapped in a membership I no longer want. This has been a horrible experience. Do not let the advertised monthly price fool you. Get every fee and cancellation condition in writing before signing up. Based on my experience, I would absolutely avoid VASA.

It has some spare time so we stopped in to swim. They have a great pool and a lot of good swimmers, including Jo and Robert. Both of whom were very kind and open to sharing Lane's with us. This facility does Prefer Lane reservations for use of the swimming pool, which we made once we got there, but Robert and Joe accommodated us earlier. We also talked with a general manager, Brittany, who was most welcoming and accommodating. This is another fine facility in Colorado athletic club collection.
