My problem is with corporate management. I purchased a "lifetime" membership back in 2001 that involved paying about 1K up front, but giving me a great renewal rate which I've happily used since then. As of a few days ago, my renewal was $99 a year. Then the problems started. Even though I had been going to the Meridian location since 2004 until it closed, and the Parker location at 20 Mile Road since it opened, I was denied access unless I "upgraded" my membership. What? I have a lifetime membership that entitles me to go to any 24 HF in the world. They said no and even changed the membership info in their computer to remove the 2001 inception date. Shady AF. I guess I should be glad that I got 23 years out of that contract but a contract is a contract. I don't knowingly give my money to crooks. It's not really about the money at this point, it is the principle. After 30 years of membership I'm taking my business elsewhere and trashing 24 HF on social media in every way that I can. I also may file a small claims lawsuit against them as I paid for 2025 in full and they aren't honoring the contract.

Long story short, the everyday run of the mill flu, turned into a secondary pneumonia and horrible lung infection for me. My right lung was over 80% infected while my left lung was a little over 50 infected. This was NOT walking pneumonia but rather the kind of pneumonia that pretty much kills people when 50% of the lung is infected. once again... I had 80% infection rate. I spent over 5 hours in the ER, was given emergency injection of antibiotics, pregnazone and fist fulls of oral antibiotics. After that, they pretty much told me to pray that everything works and that I'd beat it. As an ex-athlete, longtime skier and mountain biker, this was the craziest medical game plan I had heard of. Fortunately, with what little bit of mental cognition I had left, I decided to look into hyperbaric oxygen therapy for pneumonia relief. Lucky for me, Icelandic Fitness popped up after a Google Search or two. These HBOT treatments along with Jason's meticulous oversight, worked miracles on my health and I survived my ordeal. I don't want to get into all of the science behind the efficacy of (HBOT) hyperbaric oxygen therapy, all I can say is the information is out there and the Hyperbaric Oxygen Institute lists some unbelievable benefits. Should this therapy be sought to treat pneumonia? 100%, yes! As a matter of fact it just seems crazy that none of the medical staff even mentioned it as a treatment option. That's how great this treatment works. I did FOUR days in a row at about 1.5 hours per session. That might be a bit much for some people, but I'm confident Jason will help identify how many sessions and how long each will work best for you. It really comes down to his expertise and him asking the right questions about what's going on with your body. Tissue repair, accelerated healing or overall recovery, Jason has you really, really covered. Want to increase the odds and beat pneumonia? Make sure you incorporate (HBOT) hyperbaric oxygen therapy... under Jason's watchful eye.

Yeah, Lucie did that. Well, I did that, but only with Lucie's guidance, encouragement, and tailored fitness sessions unique to my abilities. I have been working with Lucie for more than two years and she has seen me through my fitness goals from understanding the basics and importance of foundational workouts which strengthen your core all the way to pumping me up with the vanity exercises which show off the biceps, triceps, chest, back, glutes, quads, etc. You will appreciate the variety of customized exercises that Lucie puts together to guide you through your fitness journey - she helps define what muscle confusion means! You will never be bored with her routines. What I further love about working with Lucie is that she has all the requisite personal trainer certifications but what makes Lucie a one-of-a-kind personal trainer is that she also has a scientific background and approaches fitness from a wholistic point of view and can explain the biological underpinnings of fitness, diet, muscle growth, etc. to take you to your next fitness level and beyond. She will research specific movements for your personal situation above and beyond what anyone else will ever do. I wouldn't hesitate to sign up with Lucie - it is the best money you will ever spend in your (extended) life. And eventually, you may be like me and learn to actually enjoy battle ropes and even doing burpees. As the ad says...just do it!

What once was an amazing, inspiring atmosphere whose leadership truly wanted to see people improve themselves jas become just another average run of the mill fitness establishment that's no better than the other fitness chains. It's no longer the advertised family friendly environment it once was. They work hard to maintain the facade of a great gym that is better than the rest when in reality they fall short in comparison. This gym has really become run down due to lack of maintenance. The bullet hole in the front window that's been there for a year or more is one example. The broken mirror in the multipurpose room is another. It's been broken for years at this point. They have pictures of pro athletes hung on the wall for all to see, many who used to support this gym. The multitude of pro athletes that once supported this gym has dwindled to just a few over the last year and now you don't see them in this gym much at all. The music is often inappropriate and vulgar and is played at levels that make it difficult to hear anyone you might be talking to (trainer, friend, staff, etc) during the weekdays, especially in the afternoons. The volume tends to be ok in the mornings and weekends though and i think that is because its different staff running the gym at those times. Should you bring the music volume up to gym ownership the response you get is inappropriate, acusatory, and unprofessional. On occasion, the facility smells of sewage when you walk in the door. It's been occurring for years but remains an issue to this day Equipment is often in need of maintenance that seems to take longer than other gyms to address (inoperable cardio equipment, torn up pleather seating or pulleys on weight machines, etc). The equipment is older and perhaps this is to be expected for an establishment with older equipment, I don't know. It does get fixed eventually though. The 3 knee pads available are compressed to the point of being ineffective and the 2 mats they have are torn and ripped. They have needed replacement for well over 6 months at this point.
