The ambiance is inviting and creative. Allison was awesome and knowledgeable helped me to make decisions on what to order. She was easy to talk with and her suggestions were perfect. Their selection of beer is good with a variety of local Washington and Oregon beer and cider. I always prefer beer on tap. I believe they have 18 on tap. The menu was inviting making it difficult to choose. I chose the brisket. The flavors were spot on. Updated 2023 Review - Great place to grab a beer and a bite to eat. Often they have music on Fridays or Saturdays. Music isn't loud you can still have a conversation with your party. Food is always good seriously no complaints. Beer has rotating taps and there's always something you can find. Definitely a great place to visit. read more

This is the only place in Longview that is even remotely pet friendly in the rainy season, and thus the only place in town that gets my business on a regular basis. We have also had nothing but wonderful experiences with the staff. I'd kill for some french fries on the menu (one of my favorite accompaniments to beer), but the menu is overall pretty tasty. I am just going to say up front that this will be a poor review. I seldom right poor reviews... but a review is necessary for the benefit of the business to improve in respective areas. Thus honesty is of utmost importance when writing a review. Service 1 star ... although our two servers were kind.... The following impacts the overall service rating. Beverages service-1 star It took our first server over 20 min to bring me a glass of water. The 3 beers ordered at our table were brought first then it was a good 10-15 min before I received a glass of water... which by the way was never offered to be refilled. Yet, a second round of beers were ordered quite timely and delivered. Food service 0 Star. UNBELIEVABLE....at how long it took to receive our order! We got to Antidote 4:45 or so.. and did not have any food served before 6:15! At one point, I wanted to leave but my daughters said we can't do that since we had already ordered. Additionally... we ordered starters of tater tots and Brussels sprouts but we had to ask for the tater tots, both starters came out after several of the meals were delivered to our table... the final dinner order of a burger came out I would say about 10 minutes after all of our dinners came out... Timing of serving food was clearly not taken into consideration for our party of 5. Billing 0 star. This is just a reminder to always check your bill... we got our bill and were charged for 3 extra beers and 1 order of pub pretzels that we did not order. Later... we were told that the bill of the party before us was included in our bill... ???? FOOD Overall 2.5 stars Spinach Salad 2 stars It was fine... the best part were the candy coated nuts. Nothing special. Reuben sandwich...different rating by 3 members of the party. 2 star, 3 star, 1.5 star GBM burger. 4 star. ... he felt it was tasty with the garlic, mushrooms and bacon Tater tots- 3 star for the Cajun Brussels sprouts- 3.5 really, this was the best item. The dipping sauce was delicious and the char on the sprouts was quite nice. Not quite sure where the bacon was though. That being said... still tasty. May 11, 2022 I usually write positive and constructive reviews, but sadly, this one will sound extremely catty, and only because the experience could have been so much better. According to Yelp, I am not the only one to have offered a lone star review of this restaurant within the past year, and here is why... It had been about a year since we first ate at Antidote Tap House in Longview, WA. I had to look at my notes to remember what we thought of the place before deciding on dinner there tonight. I had a vague memory of it being "just okay", but my notes convinced me that we should definitely try this place again. Our first visit was enjoyable with friendly service, and tasty food that was served warm instead of hot from the kitchen due to the management's choice of serving ware that doesn't retain heat well (I mentioned this in a previous Yelp review). The place has 2 dining rooms, and 2 outdoor areas. The front patio was closed off. The front dining room, which offered live music, was not ADA-friendly unless you are willing and able to take a flying leap upon a barstool or pub-height table; Too bad I forgot my crash helmet. We were promptly greeted by our waiter, and told that there was a party taking up the regular tables in the back dining room, but there was an available booth, and there was seating in the rear patio. It was a cold evening, both outside and inside the restaurant, but we chose the slightly warmer of the two, and sat at the booth which turned out to be a tad too high for comfortable seating, especially for my mobility issues. My husband also found it to be uncomfortable seating. Neither of us are beer drinkers, so we ordered soft drinks which I thought tasted not as sweet as usual. I thought perhaps the ratio of cola syrup to carbonation was off, but when our waiter topped off our glasses later on with the remaining soda from plastic bottles, I realized why it tasted different from usual. The menu had changed drastically since our last visit. In our opinion, the menu should have offered at least one basic hamburger with/without cheese, but the closest thing it had to a hamburger was a trio of sliders made with pulled BBQ pork which is what my husband chose. I opted for the BLT sandwich. We both substituted Tater Tots for the potato chips. It looked like everyone had been served when we arrived, so we were surprised that our meal took a bit longer than we expected. Our sodas were about half gone when our food appeared. The tots were those flat half-tots, served pale and lukewarm (Undercooked? Same bad servingware?). We asked for dipping sauces for our potatoes; They were served icy cold from the fridge which chilled what little heat the tots had remaining. I tasted my husband's pulled pork, and it tasted like the store-bought Curly's BBQ brand which I like, but between that, and the bottled soda, I felt like I was dining at the Safeway supermarket. My husband enjoyed his meal, even though it wasn't the cheeseburger he had hoped to order. I'm sorry to say that my BLT was very disappointing for a BLT. It's hard to explain, but the bread appeared to be slices from a flat round of sourdough which had been oddly cut from side to side instead of from top to bottom. This meant that my sandwich was cut into two, thin, top and bottom slivers instead of the typical matching "D"-shaped halves. Cutting the bread this way created slivers of equal parts bread and crust which could barely hold anything inside which would explain the skimpy amount of BLT fillings. The bacon strips were extremely narrow and thin, and reminiscent of chipped beef from my impoverished childhood. The cook was overly careful not to place too much lettuce on my sandwich either. You know, I honestly don't remember eating tomato, but I do remember flicking a tomato seed off my shirt, so it was in there somewhere. Even though there was mayonnaise, the lack of ingredients made for an overall "dry" sandwich, and not the decadent and juicy BLT I was looking forward to eating. To sum it up: the flavors were there, but in spirit only. Our waiter was very pleasant, and capable. When he asked us if everything was alright, I just had to answer "Fine." because there was nothing he had control over that would improve our meal. Everything at fault about our evening, except for the waiter's service and attitude, was due to management decisions on every aspect of their restaurant; Decisions that had gone horribly South since our last visit. Do we plan to return? Unfortunately, there wasn't enough positive in the experience to make it worthwhile. I hope to see positive reviews in the future that will convince me otherwise. read more

There was a big table inside which would sit all of us but we were told the staff needed to use the table to assemble an order. Since there wasn't another table to sit all of us together, we left and had lunch close by. We moved to Kelso two years ago and have been exploring places since. We're big brew pub type people and we're excited to try out antidote. 1st visit wasn't bad. The beer selection was great and the food was yummy, the service was not the best but we just chalked it up to COVID times. But as we've gone more we've realized that each visit gets worse. Beer selection is the only consistently good thing. The food is just meh, and the service is always just snobby and makes us feel like we're a bother coming in. I've even tried their other location in Woodland and every time I've ordered from there there is always an issue. I hate giving one star, so that's why it's two. Here's how our service went: Greeted, sat at the bar and immediately received the disclaimer "no pulled pork which means no nachos or sliders, no crab Rangoon's, no chips." That's fine. We ordered Tuna Melts (really pretty great!). I tried to order several things on tap, and they were all blown. Bummer, but it happens. But what really was the kicker was there was a group of friends who sat down at the bar and clearly were personal friends of one of the servers. They got crab Rangoons. And we saw nachos go out. Umm.... Gross bar habits as well - reusing customer glasses for new drinks/drink refills - yes, I watched her grab her friends drink glass from the bar and fill it up with a new cocktail. I also was really disturbed when one server used two straws to stir a Bloody Mary and then didn't replace the straws...gross??? We want to give it another chance but honestly I'm still ticked off. Fantastic tap list and food! Tangerine Supreme, Harvest Ale, and DJ Jazzy Hef were great, as were the Asian steak bites. Also, the Saturday 12/5 afternoon wait staff were phenomenal! They opened their bay windows for us, and were knowledgeable about the beers on tap. They checked in on us often and were great at anticipating our needs. I've been driving by this place for awhile now and have excitedly been wanting to check it out. Yesterday again I was nearby, starving and after a bad day in need of a good beer. My first impression should have been a big red flag. The place was near empty. After walking in and nearly all staff look at me almost as if I'm an alien then they all turn away and start stirring about. It appears they have BBQ cooking nearby and it smells awesome. I ask a young lady working, "what's reccomended" and she smiles and continues walking on by. I order a very nice Porter and ask about how they rotate thier drafts. Again I'm looked at as an alien. Finally the guy explains. I see a sign for Buoy Beer with an arrow and I ask about that. This woman looks at me then away and then walks off. Stunned I figure she's having a rough day and let it go. I order a version of French Dip that I really have to force down. The meat was tasteless, bun was nice, there was so much cheese Sandwich could barely hold together and meat was slipping out everywhere. If the service had been decent. Not even good, just decent then I would still be willing to go back for the beer alone. It's really very sad too as there's so much potential. read more

I use a walker to get around and there was no regular chairs in the whole place. I had to sit on one of those cheap lawn chairs and to top it off the so called table was no better than a TV tray. Then I received the food and I had the funkiest tasting burgers I've ever had (stale, worried about food poisoning). The tater tots were so greasy and soft you could throw them on the wall and they would stick (No kidding). The service was lacking also. No, how is your food? or refills on your pop. Very disappointed in the service here. Incredibly long wait times with very poor customer service. In the midst of a global pandemic, I inquired about why none of the staff members were wearing masks. Their response was the owner "doesn't care" about masks and if I don't like it I just shouldn't come back. As someone in the healthcare industry frequently caring for immunocompromised and elderly individuals, I'm appalled that the staff at Antidote aren't taking proper precautions to keep their customers and staff members safe. I really like the laid back atmosphere here and I have only ever had the beer or ciders of which there are a good selection I have never tried the food but it's a tap house, the food isn't the main seller.
