This place is so good that we went two days in a row. The first night my husband and I shared a salad and the pizza with chicken and jalapeños - delish! Kid 1 had a pepperoni pizza with no sauce (no tomatoes for this one!) and they were very accommodating; kid 2 had the kids pepperoni pizza and loved it. Second day, we got a different salad with havarti, apples, candied pecans and a tomato dressing - highly recommend. We also shared the meat pizza and it was excellent as well. Kid 1 got butter noodles and kid 2 got the pepperoni pizza again. This place is reasonably priced, portions are very generous (they say the pizzas are larger personal size but I think they are easily shareable), and everything we had was delicious. It's been a long time since I've gone out for pizza so when we arrived in Moab, we decided to check out Antica Forma. This place serves up delicious Neapolitan style pizza cooked in a wood fired oven. They pride themselves with their delicious dough, pizza sauce made with San Marzano tomatoes, and fresh made Mozzarella made in-house! We ordered the Sausage and Mushroom pizza along with a Caesar salad. All of the ingredients on the pizza is made with high quality ingredients, and the mozzarella was very delicate and light. The crust was nice and light with a good flavor. Service was good and also fast. Napoleon style pizza was okay, but not great. (What we make at home in an Ooni is noticeably better.) Salad was good, chicken parmesan was average. Given the unusually high Yelp rating of 4.5 stars, I suspect the restaurant owner has manipulated their overall rating by somehow manufacturing reviews. read more

The food was good; I had a Pear and Gorgonzola salad with chicken. Although the chicken was overcooked, it tasted fine. The servings were large. We also had a Caprese salad that was fresh and good; my husband had a meat lovers pizza that he said was great(generous with the meat for sure). The downside might be the general ambiance. Tables were kind of old(ours was uneven although the waiter fixed it with napkins), decor was ok with local photos. It was just kind of shabby. However our server was great and no wait for the food. The waitress at lunch told us this was a good place to check out. We stopped in and there was a 20-30 min wait. Waiting outside I got a little hot/thirsty. I asked if I could get a water while I waited. The hostess was very nice and got me some. We got called for a table in less time. Came to the hostest and a runner took us to our table. She did not say anything. Threw the menus on the table, turned and left. Took about 5 minutes for the waitress to come and say she would be with us. Another 5 minutes and she drops off 2 glasses and a water pitcher...guess we pour it ourselves? Another 5 minutes and say she would be with is. We finally get to order...she took our food order and was gone before we could add other drinks...guess water for us. The glasses where not dry and tasted like soap...glad I have my to go cup. App came...it was good...mozzarella/tomato/balsamic. Pizza came...what a DISAPPOINTMENT!! The middle was undercooked dough!!! We took a piece and it was also liquid-y...like the bottom of the pizza was sitting in liquid (see pics). We had to ask for utensils. Waitress never checked on us during the meal. No I said nothing because I just wanted to leave!!! After we scrapped the toppings off and finished eating what we could we had to wait about 10 minutes before we could flag our waitress down to get the check. I think they got busy and pumped the pizza out too fast!!!!!! We had planned to get dessert as the waitress at lunch had said they were made in house...well after what we just got served we did not even stick around to even try!!!!! No clue what the amazing reviews are about. The pizza was good, nothing to rave about. Mozzarella appetizer was pretty tasty. I would stick with the pizza since the pasta and lasagna was like cafeteria quality. The bottom layer of the lasagna was hard and inedible. "Classic meat sauce" was watery. I wish I could say the food was good. Olivia, our server, was sweet and the table staff were friendly and efficient. The young hostess was rude to us and another table. COVID restrictions lighten up since most of the staff were not wearing masks. Basically, it is a large sit-down pizza place with no ambience and it can be noisy. This seems like a family-run restaurant so hesitate giving it a meh review. With the other good restaurants in the area, I would only go if you really are in the mood for pizza. read more

Ordered dinner for pickup and happy that we did! We ordered via phone which was fast and easy and the food was ready in 15 minutes. If you like Neapolitan style pizza with its chewy thin dough and charred crust, then definitely worth ordering from Antica Forma. We got the Margherita pizza which highlighted the tomato sauce and cheese very nicely but had very little basil - still a very good classic Neapolitan style pizza though! We also ordered the calamari which was pretty good and came with 2 dipping sauces (marinara and spicy mayo) - preferred the marinara because the spicy mayo was a little overpowering with its smokiness. I was craving a pizza after hiking all day in the national parks and wanted to check out Moab. Yelp helped me find this place and I was quickly seated at the pizza bar. The wait was about 30 minutes for other parties needing a table. I had a mozzarella/eggplant/bell pepper pizza and added chicken for $3 extra. They serve beer from Moab brewery so be sure to grab a local pint! Beer was $5 but the pizza was a little steep, coming out to about $20 for a regular size, which could easily feed 2 people. I know the price is because of the "authentic" ingredients, just warning folks. I will say this price was consistent with other places downtown. As a bit of a pizza snob I wasn't blown away by the meal, but I'm glad to see a quality joint like this in town. read more

We came here for a late lunch a few days ago and we were pretty much the only people there (apart from two tables). The restaurants looks new & modern with nice photographs as accents. You'l also immediately notice the fancy pizza oven when walking in. My mom had a lunch-menu sandwich and I had pasta with clams. I was actually more interested in the seafood option, but seeing as they couldn't make a non-spicy version since the seafood apparently comes in the spicy sauce already made like that, I went with clams instead. My dish was fine, although for some reason the kitchen decided to add chilly flakes to the dish. They don't belong in a traditional 'spaghetti alle vongole', plus since I specifically told the waitress I didn't like spicey food, she could have made sure they left those out.... While we did overall enjoy our lunch here, I am sad and kind of annoyed to bring up the undeniable BO issue of our waitress. It honestly made me sick to my stomach every time she passed by. Terrific Neapolitan pizza, far and away the best in town. Would be one of the best in any town if transplanted. The pistachio pizza is pretty revelatory. Giving five stars because the small town vibe, family owned vibe, and everything tasted like it was made from scratch!!! Everything tasted so fresh. Even the kids mozzarella sticks my daughter ordered seemed homemade!! The pizzas were true Napoleon style--my favorite!! All of the food runners and bussers were extremely attentive. A special shout out to them! They were happy to help and working so hard! Also loved the energy the pizza chefs had! You can tell the employees are happy to work there. He prepared a classic sour to drink which was a whiskey sour with an egg white - very refreshing and tasty. Then when I was looking to order a mushroom pizza he mentioned that the "Il Tartufo" was a much better option. This one had truffle cream, homemade mozzarella, mushrooms, basil, and topped with prosciutto di parma. WOW what an amazing pizza. Can't wait to come back here in a few weeks to have it all over again. Update after returning a few weeks later. This time around we ordered margaritas, fried calamari, mussels al vino vianco, homemade burrata, arancini, and the tre funghi pizza. Great experience, delicious food! Always love going to wood fire pizza restaurants that have a more elevated experience compared to a traditional pizza place. Our server was.. I believe, the restaurants owner, who was very passionate and helpful for our group of 9. We started with La Superba, burrata and three different salads. We all then shared the Il Tartufo , Pistachio, and 2 Margarita pizzas. The Il Tartufo had a very rich truffle cream flavor. The Pistachio pizza was a great alternative to those that could not have tomato sauce and the margarita was a good traditional kid friendly choice. All were delicious and big enough for our entire group to share with leftovers. We sat on the back patio and the breeze was a nice break from the hot day hiking to the Delicate Arch. Unfortunately, our experience was not great. We ordered take out and the person who took our order said it would take about 15 minutes to receive our food. Not a big deal, so we sat at the bar and had a drink. Nick was an excellent bar tender who took care of us and was hustling the drink orders that were flying in. After 30 minutes we still had not received our food and mentioned this to Nick. Nick was kind enough to leave his busy bar to check on our orders. When he brought the boxes back the food was cold. Nick jumped right on that to make it right and brought us new meals that were fresh out the oven. As our group sat there waiting for the food, Nick seemed to be the only person hustling. There was a lack of communication between the person who took our order and who was supposed to deliver it to us was not done well, considering we sat waiting for about 30 minutes. The situation of cold food was not Nick's fault but he was kind enough to take care of our food. Regarding the taste of the food, their pizzas and pasta were just okay. Nothing exciting. With the combination of our experience and taste of food, we feel it is only acceptable to give Antica Forma a 3 out of 5 rating. Had a wonderful meal here. Pizza was tasty and a good size. Had the Pistachio pizza as wanted to try something novel. Wasn't my favorite pizza of all time but still good and if you like pesto you will enjoy it. This was an excellent find. The menu is quite diverse and everything we tried was phenomenal. The pizza are amazing and the fresh mozzarella can't be beat.
