Stopped in for a late lunch, the Caesar salad was amazing, the wings were very unusual and really good! The margarita pizza needed more cheese and I'd prefer not to cut up the basil myself although the presentation was great.

This experience wasn't stellar. Our server was miserable; clearly annoyed she had to come out from behind bar to serve us outside. We tried being super sappy nice, cracked jokes, but couldn't turn tide. As we finished meal a different miserable woman comes outside & starts collecting pizza stands like she been asked to dig graves. Anyone can have a bad day- when more than 1 person, it's a theme. The theme, "we don't want your business." Never understand when businesses are annoyed they have business. Same as when service industry complains about tips & delivers horrible service. All around us people we're sidewalk eating at neighboring businesses happy for the patronage. Food was good. But lost a little something. Bland like the hospitality.

Dry rub wings (20) with blue cheese dipping sauces - to go container.

I recently relocated to Berks County, PA and wanted to find a good place to get some wings. After searching local spots via Yelp & Google, I decided to give Anthony's coal fired pizza & wings at try. I'm happy to say that they have lived up to the hype! I purchased the 20-piece dry rub wings with the side of blue cheese to go and it was worth every penny. Even after the 15 minute trip back home the wings remained warm, juicy, well-cooked (had a concern based off of a previous review), and evenly favored with the dry rub. The blue cheese dipping sauce were a little light on the portion size but the dry rub favor was good enough that I didn't need much sauce. Staff: I only interacted with the staff for a brief moment but they were very attentive, polite, and professional. The overall ambience of the restaurant looked good and I look forward to coming back with my family in the near future. Unfortunately, my eyes were bigger than my stomach and I was only able to eat 7 wings but I look forward to enjoying these over the next two days. I recommend stopping by Anthony's if you are in town. I'll be stopping by again and look forward to being a frequent patron.

Anthony's is a sold 3 star place. Whenever I come across a pizza place that has "coal fired" in its name, I have to try it. This is to see if they live up to places like Grimaldi's, John's in NYC and Regina's in Boston. Does Anthony's live up to those places? No, it does not. There is none of the charring one finds on a great coal-fired pizza. That said, if you go with reasonable expectations, you won't be disappointed with Anthony's. The crust is a thin one, the sauce has good flavor and the cheese portion is generous enough. We were here on a weeknight around 6 p.m. At that time of day, we were greeted and seated immediately. The people who work here are friendly. Our server was prompt and efficient plus she knew the menu very well. We were looking to have an appetizer and discovered that the menu wasn't very descriptive. For example, we saw "mozzarella salad" on the menu and wondered about it. The couple sitting in the table next to us told us that they had ordered it. The wife expected an actual salad with greens. Instead, it's 2 tomato slices topped with mozzarella and some green peppers, basically. She said she expected greens. The husband piped up and said there was "greens" in the form of green peppers. We still decided to try it anyway. It was an okay appetizer---nothing to write home about. We got a 12 inch "traditional pizza: which was a simple cheese pizza with tomato sauce. Yes, it was a decent pizza but one couldn't tell that it had been in a coal-fired oven. Would we go again next time we're in town? Perhaps, if we were really craving a pizza...

Always great service and the atmosphere reminds me of big city pizza places. LOVE the hot honey pepperoni pizza. The only problem is we have ordered it 4 times and it has been different every single time (missing pepperoni, seems like just pepperoni). Nonetheless, absolutely amazing. Wings are a solid choice, the tuna sandwich is the best I have ever had, and absolutely love their super crisp salads. TIP: They have rewards program. Sign up and get a free traditional pie.

12/23/2018- So glad they had an Anthony's in Wyomissing, PA while we were visiting for the holidays. I am a fan of this chain. We sat at the bar and were greeted by a young man (wish I remembered his name). He was attentive, quick and friendly. He bartended and served with ease while still being able to hold a conversation with everyone at the bar. We ordered Troegg's Mad Elf Ale on Draft. This craft beer has hints of cherry, cinnamon and clove. Perfect for the holiday season. We paired it with their Eggplant Pizza. We ordered a medium and it was enough for both of us. We watched the Vikings vs. Packers game. Great ambience in the restaurant. The staff is great. The restaurant and facilities are clean. Will definitely be back.

Haven't been here in a year but went with 5 friends for lunch and all were happy. We had many different dishes. Some had the original chicken wings which were ok but were overcooked n burnt. Salad is the best. Love the tart dressing. With Italian tuna it is the best!!! I had the meatballs with fresh ricotta and marinara. Absolutely delicious . The pepperoni pizza was delicious and I love the thin crispy crust. The chef brought us a new salad he is presenting in 3 days. A Caesar salad. He created his own dressing and it was delicious. Cold, crisp n yummy. Try it. My friends loved the garlic knots but I don't eat all that garlic so not for me but they loved them. Time to get them back on my rotation. Appreciated the chef talking to us to get our opinions and to let us sample his new salad.

Ambiance is lovely--great decor, comfortable seating, a gorgeous bar, and live music. Fun cocktails and a solid wine list (though the "by the glass" options are a bit limited). Ultimately, though, I think the ambiance and service are doing the heaviest lifting here--it's a bit of a "vibe dining" spot. The food is definitely good, don't get me wrong...but it's not "wow," which was a little disappointing given that you're gonna be spending $$$$. (Most entrees are $30+ and they're pretty standard fare that's not especially inventive--steaks, a few pastas, obligatory short rib dish, elevated burgers, salmon.) We liked everything just fine but I didn't taste a dish that made me go "oh man, I gotta come back for that." Instead I'm thinking "maybe I should try something else next time I'm in." I do like that your entree comes with a salad. The physical menu itself could also use some work, as its quality doesn't match the care and luxury atmosphere of the place overall. Numerous misspellings and a lack of specificity on ingredients in several of the dishes that leave the diner unclear on what, exactly, they're getting. For example, there's an entree that's described simply as "grilled chicken breast served with rosemary potato wedges and grilled zucchini." Are there spices or sauces on that chicken? Are we talking just plain salt/pep? Herbs? What? Anyway, it's fine. It's a solid date night option. We'll be back.

It reminded me of a restaurant that should be in Rittenhouse Square or the like. The menu was extensive and high-end. It would've been nice if they had offered bread at the start though which they didn't. We had the tuna tartare appetizer. It was delicious and very filling. My boyfriend got the lobster mac and cheese, which was absolutely delicious. However, there wasn't much lobster. The side salads were good. I ordered lamb which I should have asked questions because I was expecting a rack of lamb and what I got was a stewed hunk of lamb on a bone next to a mushy pile of polenta covered in what looks like marinara sauce I wanted to give a four star review for this because that's not something I would've enjoyed eating and I sent it back however somebody else might've liked it very much. In fact, I think the people sitting across from us ate every last scrap of that same dish off their plate, however, I wouldn't have liked it at all. I wish I had ordered one of their steak options, which sounded delicious. I shared some of the lobster mac & cheese, and ate a lot of the appetizer so I didn't end up ordering another entrée. We would definitely go back. I just have to read them many more carefully and ask questions.

Cocktails were also excellent, creative, well-balanced, and fitting for the ambiance. The only hiccup of the night was drink service being a bit slow. Not a dealbreaker by any means, but noticeable. I'll be honest, I didn't know much about this place going in, but I'm really glad I went and I'll definitely be back. Walking in, the first thing you'll notice is a beautiful, large fish tank built right into the wall on your right. The restaurant is dim and upscale-feeling, but still very family-friendly and not loud or overstimulating, so you can actually have a conversation. They have both booths and tables, and the space is very open and spread out. As a parent, you can even strategically seat your family in view of the fish tank or the windows to give the kids something to look at. It's great for a casual family dinner, a date night, or even a birthday celebration. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible with no ramps, you can roll right in to your table. It's located in a plaza but set apart, so parking was never an issue. Plenty of spots, including handicap parking up front with just a short walk to the entrance. They have a solid variety on the menu including alligator bites, burgers, pasta, salads, and more. It is on the higher end price wise. Most entrees start around $14 and up, and even the kids meals begin at $8.90. The cocktail menu is extensive and the dessert menu is worth a look too. They also have a lunch menu where prices vary a bit more favorably. I ordered the Coastal Cheddar cheeseburger burger with no tomatoes and it was excellent. Very fresh, well seasoned, and served with shoestring fries that were equally on point. They also bring out a ciabatta loaf with butter to start, which was a really nice touch. Food came out quickly (always a plus). The staff is genuinely incredible. There's a tag team mentality where anyone on the floor can help you, refill your drink, or check on your table. They were well prepared and very tender. My daughter enjoyed stated that she was surprised it reminded her more of chicken than what she had expected. The dipping sauce added a nice touch and was not too peppery or spicy. It was well balanced. The seafood gnocchi was filling and flavorful. My daughter enjoyed it and had enough leftover for another meal the next day. I thoroughly enjoyed my lobster roll and ate the whole thing. There was an abundance of fries, which I did not eat. They were good, but did have a bit more of a greasiness than I prefer. The drinks were typical Coke products, which wait staff were attentive to keeping filled. The ambiance is a great place for a casual quality meal with family, friends, work colleagues, or a date. The salt water tank in the "lobby" is always nice to look at. The place is always clean and well maintained. The booths are spacious and you can talk comfortably without being crowded by other patrons. My husband and I assessed Austin's differently. He ordered prime rib which he said was nothing short of perfect. Cooked medium rare as requested, tender, juicy -- he savored every bite. I scanned the menu. Nothing jumped out at me. (I generally don't gravitate to steakhouse-type restaurants.) I ordered a half rack of baby back ribs. My point of comparison is Longhorn's which offers more of a bang-for-a-buck, and in my opinion better tasting ribs. Not to say that Austin's aren't good. They are. Based on the popularity of Austin's, it's clear management knows what they're doing. But I think a small salad and baked potato should be available with the price of the entree -- not worth the extra $7 I was going to be charged. The salad is listed as 'field greens,' -- which it's not -- but reading the menu you'll see they mean iceberg and romaine. The salad was good, enhanced by their garlic ranch dressing. We washed down our meals with well-priced drinks: merlot ($8.90) and Blue Moon ($6.90), then splurged on dessert. Austin's flourless double chocolate brownie a la mode is very rich. One order for two adults is plenty. Austin's is aptly described as a family restaurant. A lot of kids. A lot of noise. Service is friendly and on-the-ball. While not my kind of restaurant, if prime rib is your thing -- this could be the place!

Very admirable and apparently they do this often to support other causes, as well. We were happy to dine at a restaurant that cares about the local community. That's what got me (& my wife) in the door. Now, for the brass tacks: Atmosphere: Very nice looking place. Clean. Lively. Loved the front window open on a warm day and the outdoor seating as we walked in. Service: Hostess and Server were both very friendly, attentive and helpful. Both checked in on us, often. Which, for us, is super important not to feel forgotten. No problem here. Food: Uncorkd Burger (sub grilled chicken), Vegetable Risotto w/Salmon, Cheesesteak Egg Rolls, Homemade Vanilla Bread Pudding Cake & Sticky Toffee Pudding Cake. My wife said, convincingly, that the Grilled Chicken Burger was good. (and that's saying something. (She's super picky about chicken sandwiches) My Vegetable Salmon Risotto was terrific. Fresh, bright, creamy, & flavorful. The salmon may have been cooked slightly over, but only slightly. Cheesesteak Egg Rolls were very good. Not made in-house. The desserts were delicious. Bread pudding with Caramel Drizzle! Oh my! Light & Delicious. Stick Toffee Pudding Cake with a decadent dark chocolate sauce. Delightful. We took those desserts to go and had them at home. Delicious. Terrific experience, tonight. I would go back in a heartbeat. Certainly would recommend. 4.2
