I was so disappointed with the food. I had the homemade Alfredo came in a bowl as you could see it was put in the oven to sit -top was dry and no taste was like eating a bowl with noodles and milk. The Cesar salad was very salty- My husband had the burger was good - very dark in a booth the table kept rocking. Felt like I was in a dinner with no windows.Our server was good. We just had a retirement celebration at Mimmos for our pastor and our experience was absolutely incredible. The event was for about 75 people and their back room with the fireplace was perfect! The food, atmosphere and service was the best we have ever experienced at a restaurant event space. Mike was so helpful and easy to work with from beginning to end. Kim (our lead server) was also incredible. They were flexible, accommodating and had smiles on their faces the entire time...even when we went over our allotted time. This past Sunday, I hosted a luncheon at Mimmo's to celebrate my wife's special birthday. Mike Mimmo, banquet manager, helped me plan the event and was accommodating and very easy to work with, despite some changes in plans. The event went off without a hitch and everything was perfect! The food was delicious and was more than enough, as many guests took food home. Service was impeccable and accommodating as well. All in all everyone was happy, especially the birthday girl. Had a reservation- seated immediately in the beautiful patio next to a spectacular koi pond with waterfall! What a beautiful setting. Our waitress was attentive and very professional. We had great cocktails- mango mojito was a refreshing delight. Good rolls and salads. The eggplant parmigiana with homemade pasta was delicious. The seafood cannoli was amazing and the gelato for dessert made me feel like I was back in Italy. But the most unbelievable thing was the price! $75 for all of that!! Strong 4.5/5.0 for Mimmo's. So yeah, let me just start with the cons so by the time anyone from Mimmo's reads this, they should be ready to put their pitchforks down by the end of this. Because we are going to end on a positive note, trust me. Biggest issue for sure was the dry chicken in their dinner entrees. I think I got like four our five entrees, and the chicken has been so dry! Not sure what's happening there. Like, if they are just overcooking it to begin with, or if they are cooking it just right, but leaving it to dry out under the heat lamps. Either way, it seems to be a timing issue. Also, ordered Balsamic Chicken, and it wasn't served over a pasta like most normal dishes. Instead, it came with a side of ziti and a pathetically small amount of marinara sauce on top. Between the Balsamic sauce and the marinara.. the flavors definitely clashed. Why not just make a bit more sauce and serve the Balsamic chicken over pasta and nix the marinara? That'd make way more sense I think. Everything else hit the spot. Most (but not all) entrees can be served with the pasta of your choice. I normally go with angel hair. And the Chicken Piccata/Caprese Chicken over angel hair were fantastic. Everything just seemed to come together. True Italian harmony. And lest we forget to mention the Antipasto Salad. This is how it's done, folks. Generous portions of Italian meats, mozzarella cheese, black and green olives, sweet peppers, OH YES! Without a doubt one of the best Antipasto salads in all the land. Mimmo's is always going to be a staple. The owners put their hearts and souls into the restaurant. Where other owners would pocket the cash and buy a yacht, the Lucy and Mimmo Brutto put all that money back into making sure the restaurant not only serves the best food in town but also has the best landscaping and cleanly interior. It really is a beautiful property. Come in and enjoy; you won't find much better. read more

We celebrated my husband's 60th birthday with a party in the smaller banquet room at Mimmo's last night, and could not have been more pleased. Mike helped us to plan it, and was great with communication and suggestions. He ensured that all went smoothly. The service was very accommodating and attentive and friendly. All of our guests raved about the delicious food from the appetizers to the mains (especially the meatballs) to desserts and drinks. I really enjoyed the bruschetta and Mimmo's rum punch. The room was beautiful and just the right size for our party of about 35. Everyone had a wonderful time. read more

I booked Mimmo's for a Rehearsal Dinner for my sons' wedding, based on their event pricing and menu options for such an event. I'd never eaten there, but all of the reviews were favorable so I took a chance. I was not disappointed! Mike was easy to deal with in handling all of the details up to the event, and the receptionist was also very helpful every time I called to made a change or had a question. The day we arrived, our private room was set-up very nicely, as requested with white tablecloths and red napkins, and our servers were ready and happy to accommodate our every request. We chose a limited menu for our guests that included a salad, soft drink, and entree. The salad was very nice - a spring mix with cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, shredded cheese, red onions, and the perfect amount of italian-style dressing. Then arriving in a timely manner, our entrees were impressive in display and size, and were delicious. We also opted for the dessert buffet which consisted of mini-cakes and pastries, and cannoli's - everything was delicious! I would absolutely recommend Mimmo's, and will be returning there for dinner in the near future for another great meal. :) read more

The night started out good, arrived at 7pm for reservation total of 9 peopel now granted it is Mothers day , service was good for drink orders, but after that the it went down hill fast. Apps were placed and came out and entrees were order around 725pm, fast forward to 840 pm and still no entrees, plus our table had two children at the table and there food was not brought out yet as well, which was two order for spaghetti and meatballs, during this time the server was not visiting the table that much, our table was out side and the other tables that were sitting had come sat down and ate and paid before our food came. At this point we notified our server that it has been over an hour since our food order was placed and that now we would like it to take it Togo. The restaurant was beginning to close up. After this we received dirty looks and eye rolls from another server staff that was working in the area and alerted our server about it NO MANAGER has yet to come to table to address the table, The server tried to bring out the food but we said no we want it to go. fast forward another tens mins and server bringing out boxed up food. Again NO MANAGER has visited the table, we were offered desserts which we refused. Upon paying and leaving, we were proceeding to the parking lot when one of the staff in a green shirt proceeded to make an obscene gesture at us through the window in the front, we then turned around and went back to speak to the Manager, which when asked for the manager the girl at the front desk was like "well you got her" we then proceeded to describe what happened and the manager said " well we don't have that person on staff here" which we said they are right over there in the window. When another staff then came up and tried to apologize, We said it was not called for and don't understand why the staff member felt the need to do that. Again the Manager offered desserts and said "well its the holiday and we are busy " I personally then explained that I am in the industry as well and understand the holidays but giving the fact that no manager came to the table to do a table visit, the server didn't explain why the food was taking a while, and the staff was cleaning and standing around. It was overall a very bad experience and poor response to guest issue. In the end we will not be returning to the restaurant and we not be recommending it to any friends, families, and coworkers to visit. 05/11/2025 was the date of the visit read more

Had a reservation for 7:15, we arrived at 7:05, and we were seated immediately. Arlene, our server, has to be the best server I have ever had! She was very kind and friendly. She took our orders, and food arrived promptly. The antipasto classico and chicken tuscano were excellent. Portions were large... took home more than half my meal. Had dinner there this evening. Started off bad upon arrival. No record of our reservation which had been made a week in advance. Had requested a certain table. Was told that would be table 12. When we arrived, that table was already occupied. They then wanted to seat us by the wall. We asked for a table in a nicer location where the atmosphere was a little prettier. The landscaping is lovely. They researched the problem and discovered the person who took the reservation put down the incorrect date. The Owner came to speak with us to let us know they found the error. Offered to reseat us when the other party was done. We stated we were settled in where we were by that point. Lucy apologized but never made any offer of restitution ie:, coffee, dessert at no charge. When food arrived, Calamari in the Triple Seafood Appetizer was not very palatable. Mini Crab Cakes & Shrimp were good. My Burger was lukewarm. They took it back & gave me another. My husband's Eggplant Parm was also lukewarm, but he tolerated it. Our friends food was acceptable. In agreement with other reviews, the rolls were terrible. Quite frankly, hamburger buns are not as dry. Waitress was a little edgy personality wise but was attentive. Very disappointing to say the least. When they knew the error of the missing reservation was made on their part, you would think, in the manner of good Customer Service, they may have offered desert or even, at the very least, coffee on them. But NOTHING. Sad to say, we will not be going back. read more

Greeted warmly by Zoe our waitress. We Had bacon scallops for an appetizer and I ordered lasagna for and entree. (My aunt recommended this place because she knows they make pasta by hand... fresh.) It was so delicious that if the had a ukelele... I would have strummed a love song to my lasagna. It was amazing. Zoe recommend the limoncello cake and that was heavenly! She asked us if we wanted to be seated and we said yes. She left to get a hostess. Three minutes later a hostess came out. She looked at her watch, went behind her podium and then said "are you looking to be seated?" When we said yes she said they stopped seating at 9 in a rude tone. While visiting recently, our group went to this for a treat. All of us being of Italian heritage, we were reluctant to try the Wedding Soup as we're generally disappointed. However, we found it good, though not as good as my wife makes. My wife had the eggplant parmesan and pronounced it very good. I had the Shrimp Scampi stuffed with crab meat, over homemade pasta. A bit overdone, but a good taste. The service was very good and appropriate Covid counter-measures appear to be taken. read more

I have been here multiple times and have gotten take out multiple times. We LOVE their food. Service has always been good. We like the front middle section of the restaurant as it seems more intimate. Bolognese, chicken parm, and chicken piccata is a favorite! The serving sizes are HUGE! The only thing that I am not so happy with are their rolls. I know they make them fresh, they just aren't to my taste. But seriously everything else is delicious! read more

Everyone, including businesses, have off days but I've eaten here numerous times and I have been in love with this place since day one. Granted I've never eaten inside however my numerous outdoor dining experiences have shown me nothing but a wonderful atmosphere, great service and incredible food! Had a pleasant Mother's Day dinner at Mimmo's but the service was slow, about 3 hours and over 2 hours to be served dinner with reservations. I love the wedding soup, but everyone in our group had cold soup which was disappointing. We had appetizers which were slow to be served but were fine. Unfortunately our entrees were even slower to be served and were cold as well. We gave up and left without dessert. This was a disappointing experience. It is not what we expect or the service and food quality we come to expect from Mimmo's. A cautionary tale. Probably best to avoid Mimmo's during busy periods for now. Hopefully they will figure it out. read more

I've gone here numerous times over the years. I love the seafood, but the service has been subpar recently. At first, I chalked it to lack of resources, i.e., employees, but that doesn't mean you sit your customers in the back, forget about them, then serve them bland $22 crab ravioli. Edit: Crab Ravoli since the management decided to harrass me in my inbox about my typo on "alfreado" verses "ravioli. I was at Mimmo's recently, for the first time. I had a spinach, strawberry, walnut, apple salad. The apple was soft, mealy and obviously old. Some of the strawberries were old and or turning dark on the edge. They didn't even have a proper salad dressing to go with a spinach strawberry salad. Usually a restaurant will serve a strawberry or balsamic vinaigrette dressing for a spinach strawberry salad. I tried their house vinaigrette and also a side of blue cheese dressing, and neither dressing had much taste. What a shame. Maybe they make better entrees but I would not go there if you're in the mood for a lunch salad. read more

Ok, granted it's my first time at Mimmo's and I pretty much chanced on it. That said and as a typical sometimes staunch New Yorker, I can be a bit picky and yes, judgemental of my eateries (details on request). It was a Sunday around 4ish so it was pretty much me and an empty bar. And even though the place itself was quite grandiose, I was skeptical. The ambiance was something out of a Roman brochure. Quite spectacular. That all said, the bartender/server Hailey was absolutely awesome. The menu is pretty large and eclectic. I asked her for a recommendation and she promptly suggested crab ravioli. I think it's been decades since I've used the term "off the hook" but this place was exactly that. The dinner was exquisite. I swear if other patrons hadn't come in, I might be licking the plate. Sunday, late afternoon we arrived at Mimmo's. We were seated immediately and our server came right over to take our drink order. We commented, this is a good sign. We ordered two appetizers and an entree to split. We were informed it would be a five dollar upcharge to split the salad and entree. Okay, no problem. We got two rolls and butter, average taste, not warm. The bus boy took the basket and our plates, as soon we put the last bite in our mouth. Our salads came promply, which were fresh and tasty. Then came the apps. Stuffed mushrooms with crabmeat, cold with very little taste. The bruschetta was odd, where were the tomatoes, garlic and basil? It was bread with melted cheese. Then our entree, eggplant parm with homemade pasta. The meal was not split, they just gave us a second plate. The eggplant was over fried, tough and chewy. I like al dente, yet the pasta was hard to eat. The gravy was bland. The upcharge turned out to be $7.00. For $62.00, never again. I am not an Olive Garden fan, yet, they do so much better. Living in the Poconos for 6 years , I have said time and time again, there are few establishments with decent pizzas, Stromboli or any Italian cuisine in that area. It was so nice to come home to Berks and find that not only does Mimmo's still have the best Italian food in Berks county, it has gotten even better. They have turned yesterday's pizzeria into a modern hybrid fine dining experience, my opinion. What an incredible atmosphere to enjoy a great meal and watch a Philly's baseball game . We started with the bruschetta , mushrooms and spinach and garlic bread and stuffed mushrooms. The mushrooms were out of this world and packed with flavor and went very fast. I couldn't decide which was my favorite between the bruschetta and spinach and mushrooms, both were delicious. My surprise was the garlic bread in both was outstandingly crisp light and flakey and just complemented the richness of both appetizers. I can honestly say I have never before tasted anything that would come even close . Sadly we couldn't finish them all with our main courses coming. I opted for simplicity with the personal vegetarian Stromboli with the addition of sweet peppers for a nice tang it was delicious. Took half the appetizers home, and finished the night with an amazing and delicious pumpkin cannoli, my first and it did not disappoint. The staff were all friendly and very pleasant . Our server , Jennifer was great ! Even though she was auper busy she was on top of all our needs and went out of her way to make sure we were satisfied.
