    Perfect tiramisu

My husband brought me to Calabria for my birthday! Both of our first time there and it was surprisingly good! We had several recommendations to eat here and they were all right. The food was DELICIOUS and the service was ON POINT!! It was a Tuesday so business was slow but she paid attention to each and every table equally and even brought out my dessert with a lit candle and some fun birthday wishes. We will definitely be eating here again! We shared the calamari as an appetizer, very good. I had the Chicken Parm - the portion was more than I needed but it's so good you want to eat it all! My husband had the Chicken Fettuccini Alfredo, scrumptious! And I had a perfect piece of Tiramisu to top it off. I have a feeling no matter what you order here it's going to be good.

    Spaghetti and meatballs

Other than our waitress, Emilia, who was super friendly and attentive, this place is very average. We had made a reservation ahead of time and arrived on time and they had "accidentally" given our table away to a larger party. So we ended up having to wait 15 minutes for them to clean and prepare a new table for us. What's the point of a reservation?! The inside is nicely decorated and homey. They have a very large menu of Italian foods and other selections like sandwiches. Bartender was a bit slow making our drink orders. I ordered the spaghetti and meatballs. It looked and tasted like warmed up frozen meatballs and a jar of Prego sauce were opened and dumped on a plate. I had to add a lot of cheese to make it edible. My mom ordered the special of shrimp in penne vodka sauce and that was very delicious. Our waitress brought out the owner to say hello to our table and she looked very uninterested to be there. Not even a smile on her face. Not sure there are much better options in this area but wasn't very impressed with this place.

    They're kitchen manager's idea of a joke.

Best Italian food in the Berks county area. Homemade, friendly staff reasonably priced. Will not have a better experience for the cost.

Great food and great atmosphere. If you haven't gotten the chicken Parm you need to get it. Great family own business.

The setting is absolutely beautiful. Their outdoor terrace overlooks a scenic garden area that looks like it might even host weddings--it's that picturesque. The ambiance is peaceful, charming, and ideal for a relaxing weekend meal, whether you've just finished a bike ride or are simply looking for a quiet dining spot in Marietta. The menu had a lot of fresh, well-crafted options, and the cocktail list was fun and inventive. I tried the lavender lemon drop, and I was pleasantly surprised by how well the lavender complemented the classic citrusy flavor--an elegant twist on a traditional drink. For dinner, I went with the jalapeño cheddar burger, which was flavorful, juicy, and made with noticeably fresh ingredients. The fries were crisp and satisfying, while my mom and sister-in-law each opted for different sandwiches paired with house salads. They raved about the house-made vinaigrette, which had a fresh, tangy balance. We also started with the whipped feta dip and gouda mac and cheese--both were delicious. The feta was creamy and flavorful, and the mac had a rich, smoky bite to it. Our Entrees looked so delicious that I forgot to snap a photo beforehand. Service was excellent. Our waitress was knowledgeable about both the food and drink menus, and her suggestions were spot on. In terms of value, I was really impressed. With so many places these days serving tiny portions at high prices, Railroad House Inn stands out as a restaurant that delivers quality, fresh ingredients, and generous portions at a fair price. All in all, this was a five-star experience. Great food, beautiful location, warm service--I'd highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area, especially after enjoying the nearby Northwest Lancaster County River Trail.

The building and dining rooms are still inviting and comfortable. The restaurant is located in a remote area on the far side of a one lane covered bridge. The menu dishes have a formal presentation. The food is good, but not outstanding. The Log Cabin is an appropriate location for a milestone birthday or similar celebration. The service is attentive.

The hostesses were very apologetic however (apparently the party before us was taking an incredibly long time), and both they offered to seat us either outside or at a high-top table and gave us complimentary prosecco, so I don't fault them for this. The main entrance to the place is pretty cool, as it really highlights the rustic vibe and there was a waiting area that had a 3-person band playing classical music when we came. However, other than this room the fact that the place is a restored log cabin isn't really apparent. The food was all very average. We came here on my birthday weekend, and they had a small folded paper on the table saying "happy birthday" (that they must reuse because the inside said "happy anniversary") and their was a small baggie of chocolates. It seemed like almost everyone there was celebrating something, as I saw these on most of the tables
