It's been awhile since we've been here. We were nearby and decided to stop. Timing is what got us to Woodfire. We were in Everett and didn't want to park on the freeway at that time of day. It's pretty much like I remember. It's a less casual Anthony's but still nice. The menu is a bit different as well. The day we went they had a menu where you get a three or four course meal for about $35. Included is a choice of several apps or two ($5 up charge), an entree choice, and a desert choice. I chose the garlic roasted chicken. It's half a chicken, green beans and garlic mashed potatoes all smothered in gravy. If you know me at all you know I think mashed potatoes are reprehensible in every way so I gave them to my bride. It was still plenty of food. They have a marinated flank steak option as well which I will get if they still have that menu if we find ourselves there at the right time They call it the Early Bird menu and it's good M-Th and lasts until 6 or so but don't quote me. That menu would explain the massive numbers of Seniors there when we rolled in about 4:15pm. Our server was good. He was attentive but not too much so and friendly. We gave him a decent tip. Me and a group of friends made reservations the day of and they were so kind and accommodating to our rather large group! (11 of us) Our waiter was so kind and constantly made us giggle throughout the night and honestly we appreciated the effort he put in to helping us! Food was great! We had the shrimp & artichoke dip and calamari for an appetizer and wow those are yummy, especially the dip! I had the shrimp and steak, overall it was very good. The only thing I would say is the vegetables were a little underwhelming, but otherwise really good! Cooked just the way I wanted and great flavor! For dessert we tried the chocolate caramel mousse and burnt cream, both were SO GOOD! I loved the burnt cream personally! read more

Enjoyed our dinner. Basically a company event with my team. Celebrating our first time together since Covid. My lead met me at the bar. The service was good and my bartender was helpful. I ended with a Amber from Boundary Bay. We were given a choice either outside or inside. It was a nice afternoon we pick outside. Because of the colder marin air it was chilly. A little uncomfortable but I was fine. We ordered drinks and appizeiter which was yummy. We had chicken wings, artichoke dip, calamari and bread. Our servered was pleasant and accommodating. I had the fish and chips. There was several delicious dishes to admire. My dish was good. I was content no dessert needed. I will always recommend this place. Wish I could review the food and the service, but we never got past getting a seat. Our party of four which included two very well behaved quiet dogs was informed upon arriving that we couldn't even sit on the PATIO! Our server was kind enough to get the manager who confirmed we couldn't stay with the dogs. Being from California(Where dogs are welcome on ANY patio) we found this regulation highly unusual. Whoever owns this place had better get with the times if they want customers with dogs... Our visit was on a Wednesday afternoon, and the patio was nearly empty. Service is little lacking. I sat down and 5 minutes later a party sat across from me. When the server poured them water and 3 minutes later came to my table. I ordered the chicken cob salad with a cup of the roasted tomato basil soup to start. Highly recommended the soup. One of the best I have ever had. The server seems to provide better service as the dinner goes on. I also would not reject the bread and butter. The bread came very hot and the1 herb butter was wiped. First trip here in a few years. My last visit was maybe 2017 and was not really impressed. last Sunday's visit was pretty much just about the same maybe slightly worse. Dinner reservations 6 PM on our average post Covid not so busy Sunday. Had to wait five minutes or so to be seated which didn't really seem to be necessary because there were plenty of open tables. Be warned that they are serving a very limited menu obviously blaming post Covid on it as well I'm sure. Service was fairly decent our waiter stayed on top of things was not really impressed how he bought three glasses of water to the table and there couldn't have been three ice cubes in the most fullest glass my particular glass had not one single ice cube in it. With transparent see-through glasses how does this mistake get made? That's your absolute first impression first trip to the table bringing glasses of water. And it was the waiter who brought them not some young kid from the kitchen staff. Three of us for dinner two of us ordered the exact same thing three pieces of halibut fish and chips for I believe 23 or $24 on the menu. Third person ordered the pork chop dinner. When the fish and chips were served they had the french fries on the plate with the fish placed on top of the french fries which got the french fries soft and greasy feeling. If you're going to deep fry a good piece of fish which halibut is it better come out pretty damn good tasting. Something was just off in the taste of the halibut it almost I hate to say it had a fishy taste and I've ate and caught tons of halibut my life. They get a very weak lower end three stars not quite two stars and it's probably gonna be at least five years or more before I try them again. It's a great location I just don't see how they don't knock it out of the ballpark with a decent menu great service and excellent location with a great view of the marina and bay. We had a group of 8, and it was Father's Day, so the slow service could have been related to that, however, that doesn't explain the terrible food. The chicken prosciutto Mac and cheese was like chef boyardee, both taste and texture. Because of the terrible service, we couldn't even try to replace the order with something else. So, ended up paying $280 for 5 diet cokes and some bread, not exactly what we were hoping for, to celebrate a graduate. read more

We came in for brunch on saturday around 11:30 just when they opened. Always good to see the nice harbor view from the restaurant! The brunch menu was rather short but I managed to find what I would want to eat. As I'm on low carb diet, o chose the salmon salad. The salmon filet was pretty big. the combination of the salmon, the salsa topping, the salad and hazelnuts and fruit pieces along with the vinegrette were fantastic. It was filling and felt very healthy lol My daughter ordered the pizza and it was decent. I just wish they have more items on the menu and the price lower though because that's one of the reasons why we don't come here often though we live very close. One thing I noticed for the first time walking around the building, they have a takeout order window looks like. And the menu seems less in price! Stopped by Anthony's wood-fire grill for happy hour. We ordered 2 margaritas along with a small personal pizza, small Caesar salad and fish and chips. The bartender checked to see if we wanted a 2nd drink and I wasn't thrilled with the tequila they used so I asked for a different tequila and she suggested one. (I should have asked for the price exchange) OR she should have told me the price exchange. Either way one small margarita was $18 and she didn't let me know the price difference. I was kinda bummed. Pizza was good, fish and chips were good but we both will order beer moving forward. We were kind of disappointed we weren't told of the price difference. A good bartender makes you aware of the price exchange that way it would have been my choice. Lessons learned!!!!! read more

We set at the bar because we arrived quite before our reservation, so we decided to just hang out by the bar. The bar service was amazing! Those two ladies do an spectacular job taking care of everybody so efficiently and kindly The view from the bat was perfect! The drinks were pretty good. The food, despite the fact they had basically zero vegetarian options (what was already expected, so I'm not even taking that in consideration on my review) was pretty good. We also had the almond joy dessert drink and that was ok but very watery. They probably just add too much ice and I was expecting something more like a milkshake. Woodfire has a decent happy hour 7 days a week in the lounge. You can still find a nice view of the marina from there as well as TV's displaying the current game & a cozy fireplace, a must have in Washington. Wines are $2.50 cheaper on happy hour & mixed drinks about $3 cheaper. A nice selection of food as well. The clams are very basic & calamari heavily breaded. The hazelnut romaine was close to a wedge & a good choice. We also had a two piece, fish and chips along with a sausage pepperoni pizza, both were decent. Unfortunately this is an area that has struggled to get enough quality staff, so be patient & adjust your expectations accordingly. read more

I went to this restaurant with my family for a gathering after a funeral. The food was average, and I shared the mac and cheese dish with my child. It was pretty basic, and I can make better mac and cheese at home. Some of my family members ordered steak, but they also found it to be average. The temperature outside was quite cold due to a winter storm, and unfortunately, the restaurant was also quite cold. Perhaps the kitchen staff wanted to be comfortable, but the guests had to suffer. Anyway, we learned our lesson. The next day, we went to Ivar's Mukilteo Landing for dinner. The food was good, and the atmosphere was warm and cozy, with lovely fireplaces and incredible views. I have to say the quality of food at this location has drastically gone down hill. I've been here a few times and food was always amazing! But unfortunately not so much anymore. I was with a large group and not one person was over the moon about their food. 3 people ordered the Cajun jambalaya (including myself) and we all thought it was terrible. Was not a true jambalaya and the flavors were extremely off. We all agreed it tasted more like a soupy fried rice. Lacked all together any Cajun flavor or spice. The same 3 of us for dessert ordered the Huckleberry Slump. Each of our biscuits were rock hard. I mean rock hard. The sauce and fruit was tasty with the ice cream but the biscuit was not edible. Several people got steak choice and all complained about how much tendon was in the meat. But maybe that's just how that cut of meat is. Service was amazing and friendly and checked in on us frequently. Restaurant was clean and nice! And you can't beat the view!! I give the 2 stars solely on the food which is the most important part to a restaurant next to service. Most of the reviews all complain about the quality of food. My suggestion to the owners would either be completely redo the menu or hire better chefs. read more

Woodfire is the casual sister to Anthony's Home Port. Free parking can be found in the parking lot. Discover is an accepted form of payment. Outdoor seating is available during the warmer months. Happy Hour is offered daily in the lounge from 3pm-close. Happy Hour is also offered during any Seahawks game. The lounge is nice sized and offers a comforting fireplace and several TVs. The restaurant dining area offers the better views of scenery. I appreciate Woodfire offering local wines and beers. I ordered a glass of Buried Cane Cab for $6 (hh) and my wife ordered a glass of Naughty Nellie for $4.75 (hh). My wife ordered the True Cod 'n Chips for $9 (hh): two pieces of panko crusted cod and french fries. The cod was crispy, hot, flaky and mild flavored. The fries were well seasoned and addictive. I ordered the Shrimp Mac 'n Cheese for $9 (hh): salad shrimp and spiral pasta tossed in a rich cheese sauce. Appetizing and very filling. Our server was pleasant and efficient. Overall, Woodfire offers a great happy hour, enjoyable food and pleasant staff. read more

Wow! This place has drastically gone down, over the years. I asked my friends to meet me in Snohomish County somewhere, instead of Seattle, to change up the scenery, but this SUCKED hardcore! 1st : My friend's wedge style salad had the red, almost rotting in my fridge look to it. I'm shocked they allowed that! 2nd : My half lobster tail and rice pilaf were so dry & crunchy. Along with the bread. So painfully pathetic. 3rd : My other friend's fish sandwich didn't have the cheese she wanted, but still got the tartar sauce, which she asked not to have brought out. Our other items - steak, pizza, drinks and desserts were good at least. Those are the star redeeming items. The bread they brought us had a long hair inbedded in it, told our waiter and he brought another one. Steak arrived with the burnt side down, probably hoping I wouldn't notice. I asked for medium rare and it looked like the chef seared it on one side only and forgot about it. It was black as coal and hard as leather. I sent it back and complained to the waiter about it, and he tried to convince me it was OK. I know how to grill a steak, you would think there chef would also. No offers of apologies, free appetizers or a drink on the house, or any kind of compensation. We had a negative experience with the Woodfire Grill years ago and decided to try them again, it will be a long long time before we go back again. Update: The manager called me and apologized for everything that happened. They have some new people and are working to bring everyone up to speed. Came in for the first time for lunch on a Saturday. The dining room was fairly quiet but started to get busy around 12:30pm. Our server was friendly and engaging. We were sat by the window which was nice. The view of the marina is always a welcome sight. After looking at the lunch menu and not seeing anything I wanted to eat, I asked our server if I could see the dinner menu. He said dinner was served after 4pm but that he would ask the kitchen if they could do something from the dinner menu. I appreciated this gesture and asked him if the kitchen wouldn't mind making the Salmon Creek Farms Thick Cut Pork Chop. Our server returned and said the kitchen could do it. The bone-in pork chop was served with a fresh ginger sauce and topped with cranberry-apple compote. It was definitely worth asking for because I would order this dish again! The meat was tender and the compote had the perfect amount of sweetness. My friend had the House-Ground Burger with Bacon. I didn't try the burger, but the fries were nice and crispy. We haven't been here for quite awhile. Very busy but able to be seated quite quickly. Staff very accommodating & pleasant. When it's busy I usually cut some slack on review. However, the meal fell short of my expectations from previous visits. My son ordered the flank steak which was quite tough. Served with a rice accompaniment. When I asked how that was he stated that it was cold. I felt his plate & it had been served on a cold plate. This is one of my pet peeves. Had it been my selection I would have sent it back. We had the warm (NOT) Brie cheese plate with apples, grapes & crackers. I ordered the clams with Andouille sausage which was quite good...however, not served with bread so we ordered a side & the bread was quite good. It was served with an infused tasty butter...but butter literally would not stay on the knife so fell off transporting to bread. It literally was crumbles. Both our drinks were marginal. Old Fashion was way too sweet & lacked alcohol depth. My Manhattan fell short...not only because the martini glass was only a little over 1/2 filled but not tasty. Since we were from California, we assumed there would be no problem sitting on the patio with the dogs. We were promptly informed they were not allowed and we left. 1. Our food didn't have much presentation look, I really didn't like my steak, parts were too pink when other parts were done. Ear of corn would have not have been my pick on this dish(I didn't look careful at the menu list), I would have preferred garlic mash potatoes, maybe just toasted on top a little, potatoes blend better with meat then corn(that's my pic). It was too pricey for what I was served( I was with family so I didn't change anything. 2. The service was very good they were really busy and we still got our order in and served. Our server was really great. He was helpful, responsive and didn't miss a thing. I appreciated the crayons and children's menu to color on. Honestly I wish I could have ordered the kids salmon because it was just like my entree portion (a little smaller) and less than half the price. The restaurant is large and even on a Friday night at 6pm we managed to get a table for 6. There's a beautiful view of the waterfront and the restaurant space is thoughtfully arranged and decorated. It is a bit loud at times, but not unmanageable. I really appreciated the bartender. I ordered off menu but nothing too odd, a margarita and a French 75, and they made both perfectly. Everyone's drinks were done really well. I think if you're looking for a place to go in the Everett Marina area it's worth trying. read more

Our server was covering the entire restaurant. Good thing it wasn't busy, but still because he was covering every table, service was slow. We both ordered Cod fish n chips. My friend ordered a house salad with hers and I ordered a cup of smoked salmon chowder. Her salad looked good and she said she liked it. My soup was good and I liked it, but not as a smoked salmon chowder, more like a rich potato soup. There were 2 chunks of salmon in the soup and they didn't impart much salmon flavor. I would eat it again, but not order it expecting it to taste like salmon. On to the fish n chips. Ho hum de dum. What a disappointment. First of all the fish is about the thickness of your baby finger. Not from end to end but from front to back. What is that? A 1/2 inch? Because it's so thin it really is impossible for it not to be dry when cooked. When they come they look fairly substantial, but that's because the panko is so incredibly thick. Was there a cod flavor? No, not really, it was all panko and desiccated cod. The fries were fine, but I'm not a fry person so if they're not amazing I don't bother. I didn't bother with them beyond eating maybe 5. I will give a shout out for their tartar sauce. It was dilly and delicious. A perfect tartar sauce. Another strange issue were the lemon wedges. I asked for lemon wedges for my water and extra lemon wedges for my fish. Each lemon wedge was a wee little wedge that even with my little hands seemed a little difficult to squeeze. I also received just one wedge each time I asked for an extra lemon. Come on Anthony's! Stop being stingy with the lemons. (rolling my eyeballs) cut the lemons into usable wedges and when a guest asks for extra lemon wedges bring at least three, not one microscopic little lemon slice. I can't imagine going back, though again, I will say, the view is beautiful. Bummer. read more

So, Sunday afternoon, the wife an I wanted some seafood, so we hit up Anthony's Wood fire Grill. It started off amazing. Nathan our server recommend a great choice in beer. We ordered the surf n turf 3 course meal off the Sunday special menu. The salmon soup was absolutely amazing. The wife had the Cesar salad and said it was delicious. Once the entrees were presented, that's when Nathan kinda disappeared and dropped the ball. The wife had steak and calamari, and I had the steak and shrimp. Both our steaks were cooked more medium than medium rare in what we ordered. Nathan failed to follow up with us too check how our meal was tasting. Now, before you ask how busy they were, we were the only people in the dining room, other than a party of 4 that came in after our meal was presented. The reason for the 3 stars, was the fact that our steaks wer not prepared as we ordered, and Nathan failed to follow up on his table. The other reason is due to the fact that when you serve steak and shrimp, it should be served on a bed of rice pilaf verse O'Brien potatoes. read more

Our Sunday family dinner was fantastic. We had the Longbone steak dinner for 2. It fed 2 adults, a 3 year old and leftovers for our pup. Lynnette was so sweet. She made a point to speak to all guests at our table including our 3 year old. She was on the spot with beer suggestions. She brought our fabulous steak out for us to review before it was sliced. I have ordered this in the past and it was always good. Not this time. The sauce was very watery, not that flavorful and just luke warm. The rice was clumped and not very warm. The shrimp were overcooked. All in all, not a great meal, but thinking everyone has a bad day, we said nothing. When I got home I called the manager thinking he should know about it. I explained about the food and he offered to send a voucher. I said that would be fine and that was the last I heard from him. No voucher was ever received. read more

On a Saturday evening earlier this summer, during a drive to escape the omnipresent heat in Seattle, we decided that seafood by the Sound sounded particularly good (in the summer, Everett is always 7-10 degrees cooler than Seattle). Our first thought was to go to Anthony's Home Port. But there, the hostess told us the wait for a table was an hour, probably longer. Well, we were very hungry and didn't want to go driving around to find another place, so we just walked over to Anthony's Home Port sister restaurant, Anthony's Woodfire Grill, which was nearby. You know what? I'm glad we did. For starters, we were seated within just a few minutes after arriving. Also, to be honest, the interior design and colors back over at Home Port seemed bleak and washed-out. Woodfire Grill's color and decoration scheme was much more lively and appealing. I found Woodfire Grill's menu options broad and decent. Now, as to where we were seated, we were stuck at a table in a corner. But here's the deal, this "corner" table was surrounded by walls of floor-to-ceiling glass that afforded excellent views of Puget Sound and the nearby marina. Very, very nice. It's been several weeks since we were at Woodfire Grill, and my memories of the food have become hazy. But what I do remember is that we had no complaints about the food or service. However, our server was concerned that our food had taken too long to arrive at our table and she said was going to remove one of the items from our bill. In the end, she removed two items from the bill. Completely unnecessary, but greatly appreciated. We'd definitely return. read more

I was visiting my family here in Everett and wanted to eat on the Marina. It's a very beautiful restaurant and the view is amazing. I had the fish & chips and it was delicious. Didn't care for the fries as much, they reminded me of the fast food Rally's fries. I would recommend they switch out those with a fresh potato wedge fry. My nephew got a brick fire pizza and it looked and tasted delicious. My sister had the jambalaya and she enjoyed that as well. The service was great, the lady came many times to see if we were okay.
