DO NOT USE. I have Marina Heating & Air helping out with my system instead, use them if you need anything :) Anthony was hired by my home warranty company. They might do good work, I wouldn't know. They were supposed to give my home warranty company a report & estimate so that it could be approved before they started the work. That was nearly 4 weeks ago. They let me sit in 90+ degree weather for nearly a month with no care in the world and no response to me or my home warranty company (who wasn't much help either, to be fair). I needed my AC checked as it wasn't running like it should. I contacted three companies for bids. Two contractors would not even come out without charging me a fee for an estimate. The third contractor was Anthony's Reliable. Tony, the owner, said he could come out the next day and check it at no charge. He sent me a text saying he was on his way and was there at the right time. He checked my unit and said it was fine, but needed a good cleaning. He quoted me a price that was more than reasonable. After the cleaning on the AC and checking my heater was finished and was running he said I could get a couple more years out of it. While I was writing a check I mentioned I was having an issue with a toilet. He looked at it and adjusted it at no charge! Tony is the best HVAC company I've ever dealt with. Originally, Anthony's was sent out by a home warranty company. I kept his card for future reference. In early August, I had an intermittent weird sound coming from my AC. I called, and they sent a newer guy out on August 9th (Tuesday). The guy replaced my filter and was ready to go. I asked him about the strange noise and he said he didn't know what might be causing that. That was the whole purpose of my service call. He took some pictures and went outside. (I didn't know then that Anthony was in the truck.) He came back in and said the motor was "very dirty" (true). I asked him what to do about it. He said I could replace the WHOLE air conditioning unit. I asked if it could be cleaned and he said there was no time. I asked him why he said "replace the whole unit" and he literally shrugged. I asked to talk to his boss, and he told me he was in the truck. When I spoke to Anthony, he first defended his employee and said replacing the unit was "always" an option. I asked what else could be done to fix the noise short of tearing out my entire unit. He didn't know what the noise sounded like so I played a video of the noise (as it wasn't happening at the time). Anthony immediately said it was the blower wheel going bad. I accepted the face value of his statement. (My first big mistake.) He said he would have to take the part but would be back likely the next day (Weds.), but possibly not until Thursday. I asked him if he had the part in stock or could confirm he could get it in a day. He said he "just came" from the parts warehouse and wasn't going back, but was sure they had the part. (Believing him was my second mistake.) He then removed my part (and letting him take it away when my AC was still working and only intermittently making that sound was my third mistake). Well, you have probably guessed the part wasn't immediately available. He said he could come to install maybe Thursday or Friday. I asked what my options were to have them come re-install my motor thing until the part was ready as it was very hot and I no longer believed he would be out by the end of the week. His response: "Wow. The old parts have been trashed. There [sic] no good anymore. We cannot due [sic] that. That's too much extra labor and time. And that's not how we work. We will be back as soon as the parts come in. I have no control over that process. I told you beforehand that sometimes it could take up a week or two to get the parts. [An absolute lie.] But that I should be able to get it done within a week." Imagine my shock that they "destroyed" my parts without a replacement in hand. For all I know, it was a part that could have been repaired - because it was still working but making an intermittent whine. Now I had no choice to wait for them. Two days later, they came out and replaced the part. I was quoted $700 but charged $750. (It was worth paying the extra $50 to get them out of my house.) Within minutes of them leaving, another issue arose. I called the office and left a message with a live person. I texted Anthony as well. It is now almost a full month later and I NEVER received a call back. I did call in another AC person who fixed the issue. However, when I showed him the invoice from the job, he said I was way overcharged. (My mistake for agreeing to the $700 quote without getting a second opinion.) I will also note that "labor" for "Tony P. and helper" was billed at 1.5 hours for the first visit, and 2 hours for the second. The first visit was nowhere near that long, and the second was even shorter than the first. So, learn from my mistakes. Get more than one opinion. Tell someone to hit the road when they suggest a full replacement of a working AC b/c it looks "very dirty." And don't EVER let someone walk away with a major part b/c then you are beholden to them to show back up whenever they want and charge you whatever they want when they return. It's under "warranty" for a year, whatever that means. They never returned my call or text when a problem did arise. read more

Technician came out to the house, was very nice but couldn't find any issues. No problem, better safe than sorry. After he left my wife noticed the heat was not working, then the thermostat was not working. We tried calling a number of times since he was at our residence, roughly 3 hours ago. Still no call back and no response. To have a technician come out and say there were no issues (which originally was for a possible leaking condenser line) and now nothing is functional on our unit? Unreal. This speaks volumes... If we didn't have children who sleep upstairs, which their rooms are now at 65 degrees and dropping, this would not be a big deal: but in this situation, it's a huge deal. Proceed to use their services with caution. **Got home from a 12 hour work day and opened up my furnace, still no call by the way; and to my surprise I see my filter mangled... and surprise! The dumb a$$ technician decided it convenient to leave a connector unplugged causing a code 13 error to populate on my furnace. I will never in my life refer anyone to this business. Anthony is the GO-TO guy for any AC/Heating and related issues as well as maintenance. We went through dozens of people to fix the initial install for our AC - where there was a pinhole leak, as well as the way the initial installers messed up the drainage for the primary and the secondary for the AC units that were condensing in the attic. He fixed a decade old problem, then rerouted the piping to make it work, and even better than what it was supposed to do! In my attic he installed a new duct system, fixed the electrical on the broken fans, and replaced the insulation. He put my A/C unit on the roof with a new base. I had a complete stoppage in my bathtub, a plumber that the home warranty sent out said the only way to fix the problem was to install a new Clean Out and it would of cost me thousands because they'd have to tear out drywall. I called Tony for a second opinion, he came out and unclogged the drain in 5 minutes, then cleaned the bathtub which I didn't expect, he charged me $80. My family moved into a new home in March. As summer approached, we soon discovered that our heating and air conditioning system was ancient. We're talking a 1970s-era, inefficient, poorly-operating dinosaur. Two rooms in our house would get freezing cold, while the rest of the house would stay warm. We now have a high-end, energy efficient system from top to bottom, and every room in our house is comfortably cooled. I had water leaking all over my A/C unit due to a clogged condensation line. Tony came over on the same day I contacted him and unclogged it in 5 minutes! He wiped up the water and told me that there was no mold worry since we caught it early. Running it would dry up the area and prevent the spores from growing. I asked him to look over the unit since it is over 20 years old. No water damage thankfully. He replaced the filter and checked the motor cap (which tested good). Apparently a flue was partially closed at the top of the unit. He found that and opened it all the way, perhaps increasing the cooling ability if the unit. I had just moved into a new rental, and the AC stopped working. When I say "stopped", I mean stopped - no fan, no nothing. Total scam artists. Won't honor warranty! I had Anthony replace a capacitor about a year ago. They should last for several years however it stopped working about 10-11months in. I had called several companies to come out for an estimate before I knew it was the capacitor. Once I was told it WAS the capacitor I called Anthony because I was still under warranty. When he arrived he told me the capacitor is totally fine and that it was an electrical issue. I told him I just had another technician tell me IT WAS the capacitor and he never mentioned electrical. I had two different opinions from two different technicians so of course I had to get another opinion. In fact I got TWO more opinions just to confirm. BOTH of the additional technicians that came out said it was the capacitor. I called Anthony AGAIN and again he kept trying to spin it around and blame it on everything/everyone else and would NOT honor my warranty. I had to pay an additional $180 to replace the capacitor and sure enough my AC started working again. So even after 3 technicians came out for an estimate and ALL THREE of them told me the capacitor went out Anthony STILL didn't honor my warranty to replace it. Again he tried to find every excuse to not do it, blaming everything from my plants obstructing the unit to my electrical. STAY AWAY FROM THIS CON COMPANY!! read more

Original ductwork in attic had essentially disintegrated and separated from the central fan output. So my A/C did a great job of cooling my attic, but not so well inside my condo unit. Anthony handled subcontracting for asbestos abatement of old pipes. Then he did a great job installing new R.6 ductwork to my vents. I'd researched R.8 ducting as an option, and he could have tried to upsell it to me but he didn't. That made me think he's an honest upstanding guy. And his price quote was good.
