Calzone & 6" (mini)sub
Tammy H.

YIKES!! Never again will I pay $27 for a calzone & a 6 inch ham, mush & cheese toasted sub sandwich. Yes the taste was ok... not my fav, but seriously gouging on price for what you get. Keep driving & find somewhere else if you're looking for a meal.

Trying the deep dish and NY Style pizzas! We shall see....

This was great pizza!!! The pan pizza was amazing and the NY Style was good also. We got it to go and it was still piping hot when we ate it at home. We will defiantly be back!!!

Went to Anthony's based on the recommendation of a friend, and after seeing rave reviews on Yelp, I expected some seriously amazing pizza. What I encountered was...not quite on that level. The storefront is not a prize winner, but that's not problem! The staff is very nice and there weren't many people at the restaurant when we arrived, so we had plenty of time to order, and could get seats. (The seating is very limited though, be prepared to eat elsewhere). Getting the pizza didn't take too long, so can't complain about that! Ultimately the thing that brought the experience down for me was taste. After all the great rave reviews, I was looking for real Chicago Pizza and this just wasn't it. It was maybe above average, but not excellent as the reviews stated.

New York pizza. Would not recommend.

I was a big fan for a number of years but can no longer recommend Anthony's for the experience and quality of pizzas we've had over the last handful of orders.

I couldn't wait long enough before taking a picture to try a bite of my pizza lol. This is definitely a special treat kind of pie! I decided to try something new and ordered a Sicilian style pizza with extra cheese. It was so delicious after I put it in the oven for about 10 minutes on 400 and 2 minutes under the broiler. I am going to get the same thing but ask for it "well-done" next time. The crust had the perfect crunch on the outside and really nice chewy in the middle. Closest thing to Detroit style on the menu and I'm here for it!

We wanted to find a new spot for Pizza and Anthony's was a great find! Great crust, fantastic sauce and excellent toppings. We ordered the Chicago Style Carnivore "Take and Bake" and warmed it up at home. You call in advance, order your pizza, they partially cook it, we picked it up about 20mins after I called and then we took in Home and put it on our Cast Iron Pizza Pan and into a 400 Degree Oven for 17mins! It came out fresh and made my face hole happy!!!! We got a medium and it was too much for just the two of us, but we couldn't stop eating it, so now we are in a Pizza Coma!!! We will be back for sure!

Half baked. Great for travel for people who don't have a great pizza joint like this in their town

So good it's worth getting fat. The Chicago style meat lovers. Ordered too many times. The Greek salad is nice.

Stand in line to place your order and pay, then stand at the end of the counter to await your items. I ordered a hot and delicious macchiato along with a flavorful eggy cheesy pork sausage burrito. High recommendations! My companion enjoyed his Cortado (pictured) with an almond scone. The scone's almaretto was flavor-forward, but the texture was a bit too cakey for my palate. Complimentary WiFi was available, and for all the people coming and going, the inside volume wasn't too bad for conversation.

My coffee was perfect. Just enough sweetness, but not too much. Just enough oat milk too. Why not 5 stars? The food is an afterthought. Go for the coffee, skip the food. Bagels are whole. Not sliced. Huh? That's okay because they must have sharp knives that slice easily through bagels. Nope. Might as well try cutting your bagel with a spoon. Because of the difficulty eating the bagels, they weren't finished. My "Cheesy-P" (terrible name) was just heated up in the microwave. Not much effort involved in that. We think our bagels weren't toasted, but heated up in the microwave too. Blah. A little more effort would go a whole lot further. The protein ball aren't really appealing either, but they might have been if the other food was decent. Coffee good. Skip the food. Seems like coffee shops with more food options, should really take it seriously. I don't think Roos does.

In addition to their own menu, they also have a rotating pop-up food truck, which is usually on-site, near the outside seating. You can check their website to see what the pop up is on a particular day. York is a unique venue. Their own menu offering a diverse choice of fresh offerings: Soup, Salads and Sandwiches. They also have fresh meats and cheeses you can select from to create a Charcuterie Board, and pair with a nice bottle of wine, which they have an extensive selection. We were looking for something lite today, so my wife and I shared the Reuben sandwich. Corned Beef, Emmental Swiss, Brinery sauerkraut, house-made Russian dressing, extra-virgin olive oil, sea salt, black pepper, grilled on Rye. A generous portion of corned beef ( you can do corned beef or pastrmi). Ingredients were fresh and very flavorful. Once you decide what you want, you place your order at the counter, find a seat, and a server will bring your food to your table when it's ready. Friendly and helpful staff. Parking is a little limited, so you might have to search for a spot, but it's worth checking out when in Ann Arbor.

I'd say the seats at the tables maybe weren't the most comfy though, I do wish they had seat pillows. The drinks did take a while to come out, but it wasn't an issue for me since I was just working. Side note: they even provide feminine hygiene products in the restroom. They also have a printer available. There's a huge parking lot available. I tried their Blue Whale namesake drink, and enjoyed! From the written menu, I thought this was going to be butterfly pea powder, cinnamon, almond milk, maple syrup, coconut whipped cream. However, when ordering the Blue Whale drink on the self serve order kiosk, it's described as "Blue Majik" spirulina/energy boosting botanicals (carbonated). The drink I got fit the latter's description. Would suggest updating the board :). I did get a little jittery afterwards, but unsure if that was from the "energy boosting" botanicals or from a coffee I had a couple hours earlier. (Or combo - I do tend to be more sensitive to caffeine, and assuming this drink was caffeine free.) Free WiFi and seating/outlets to do a bit of work here. Not a lot of seating for this, but it wasn't busy on a Thursday morning for a little work! Clean airy vibes, and convenient location in what I call the "Trader Joe's plaza".
