We stopped at Mothfire for some cocktails and mocktails. I like that they have some food trucks available. It elevates the experience. We were hoping to catch the pizza truck, it is a favorite food of one of the kids. We wanted a snack/ light dinner, and since they pizzas are not too big, we ordered a couple. I liked them. We got just a classic cheese then the heirloom tomato burrata pizza. For a small bus, they are pretty tasty. I like that they bring them out to you. I liked the ease of ordering from the table online, you can relax with a drink instead of standing and waiting in a line. It reminded me a bit of my favorite Universal Orlando pizza from Red Oven. But it was a bit pricy, especially the tomato pizza, not a great value for the small amount of toppings. The crust could have been more flavorful. I think I liked the pizzas a bit more than others in the family. But, yes, I personally would get more.

Partially eaten Heirloom Tomato, Garlic, Burrata pizza (oops)

My current favorite pizza in Ann Arbor!! Love the wood-fired crispy thin crust, and the delicious and quality toppings. Also like that they do specials so there's always something new to try if you want. My favorite is their Spicy Capicola pizza but really can't go wrong with any of them. Only slight thing is these cool down FAST so make sure to eat right away while it's hot and quite literally fresh out the oven!

My girlfriend doesn't even like pizza. She LOVED Joes. The interior feels like they took the NY location and turned it to a warm break spot for those freezing their a** off and wanted something hot, homemade and FRESH out of the oven. Celebrities like Dua Lipa, 50 Cent, Bradley Cooper, Leonardo DiCaprio, Etc. EVERYONE LOVES JOES. Question is, and the most important of them all; does Dave like Joe? I don't know we had beef in kindergarten, let's see if I've finally stiffened up to him. I'm happy to say, a plain cheese pizza with basil does the trick beautifully. Delicious, foldable even though it doesn't flop. The sauce is easy to digest and so is the crust; I ate 5 huge slices and didn't feel a thing, it's so light and sweet. But it's crunchy! I got well done so I knew there wouldn't be any flop jalop. Perfection. Cheese was outstanding, crust showed the beauty in simplicity, the sauce was quite good but still a little too bland. I really wish the sauce POPPED. Another negative factor about this place is that it is DIRTY. Dirty to the honest cashier- Dirty to the floor. But it's okay, I know that the pizza comes out of a 500 degree oven. Any bacteria that might be on my pizza get burned and killed. Such a BEAUTIFUL pie. Loved it. (4/5)

My daughter and her now husband recently had a destination wedding. They wanted to have a party…read morebefore they left and wanted to serve wood fired pizza at the event. After looking at different caterers, we chose Pizza Replicator to cater the party of 85. We were having trouble working with the venue to allow the caterer to find a place to cook the pizzas. Max contacted the venue and worked out all the details. On the day of the event, he and his staff arrived promptly and started with the appetizers which were outstanding. Once he transitioned to pizza, the pizzas were continuously replaced until everyone had eaten. Everyone raved about the food. We couldn't be happier about hiring Max and his team and couldn't recommend him enough.

There are all kinds of pizza places…read more If Ann Arbor has a pizza style, it's thick, cheesy, and really meant for the college crowd. Detroit's pizza was conceived with auto workers in mind. In New York, slices are for folding and eating while on the go, because... well... I guess that's what capitalism does to you. Pizza Replicator is replicating none of these pizzas. Nope. It's just a Star Trek TNG inspired pizza concept where Max Sussman gets to have a little bit of fun with seasonal ingredients, dough, and some portable pizza ovens. Personally, I love to support pizza innovation. Max's pizza is about as good as it can be considering it's cooked up in the back of a coffee shop on any given Sunday. More than anything, I want Max to get a permanent home here in A2 with a legit Neapolitan oven where he can really get some better color on the bottoms of those pies. I've had a few of these so far. Italian sausage with pepperoncini, provolone, and broccoli rabe. Brussels and guanciale with aged gouda, fresh mozzarella, and garlic. Soujouk and Za'atar with onion and green zhug. Asparagus and gruyere with meyer lemon, caramelized onion, and pine nuts. Spanish Chorizo, manchego, roasted peppers. My favorite one to date was the meyer lemon. Dang, that was deliciously unexpected! But those crispy nuggets of guanciale were dynamite too! Ultimately, these are designed to be take out pies, and I'm just not a take out pizza kinda guy. Because I believe pizza is best when it's fresh hot now, I grab my pie, b-line to my parked car, and eat the pizza in the driver's seat like a savage beast. Even when I have shown up early for my scheduled pizza pick up, I have had little luck in getting super hot pies with crisp edges and well colored bottoms. Recently I learned that one can request the pizza "well done" and I am looking forward to giving that a try. But I love the culinary creativity and I am happy to keep trying Max's new pies when my Sunday schedule lines up with available pizza slots. One has to keep an eye on the Pizza Replicator Instagram page and move quickly, because these things sell out. I have gotten over my FOMO, and am happy to simply sample these pizzas when the stars align. Which, you know, is why I'm comfortable to share this with the Yelp Community. Max's efforts are hardly a secret as they were just recently covered in the food press. But yet there is no listing on Yelp?

It was pleasant to see the level of detail Pizza House went through to ensure my dining experience was great; they gave me plates and a pizza server so I would not have to use my hands. I ordered cheese for both because I'm currently not eating meat. The pizza was good and cheesy, but I would prefer more sauce. It took me 2 days to finish it. It's very filling!

Let's start with the almost 5% administration fee, or whatever they call it on the menu. With specific notes that this doesn't go towards staff for tips. Ok. Just raise your prices. Don't play games. It wasn't a busy night so I expected service that would be prompt and somewhat attentive Nope. Had to struggle to get water refills for myself and gave up on a 2nd refill for any pop for the table. The small greek salad that I ordered was tasty. The garlic bread with cheese tasted like they forgot the garlic. The 2 personal pizzas that were order were two of the most unimpressive mediocre pizzas I have ever had. The grilled salmon that was ordered was cooked perfectly and sauced very well. However this is Pizza House, not Salmon House, so I had higher expectations for the star of the show. Bill comes, I pay, I tip, and I leave knowing I will never come back. I know it sounds cliche to say it was better years ago when I was in college, but it stands true. Being open until 4 am to feed a late night crowd is only impressive when you are not serving the most lackluster pizza in Ann Arbor. We were there at 9:30 and expected a quality experience. What I got was swift dose of buyers remorse. The entire experience made me wish I had called in a carryout order from any other pizza place and taken my family home to eat there. The entire drive home the only thought I had in my mind was, "That was a waste of money."
