Plenty of parking on the left of the building. We ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala Pizza and the owner brought us out Fresh Dosa and a Samosa for us free of charge. Both were delicious!!! He was so kind and generous! The Chicken Tikka Masala Pizza was sooo good and came with a cilantro sauce that was equally yummy! The Samosa was good and the Dosa was extra good with it's perfect crispiness and delicious cheese and vegetables! They provide Halal options as well :0) Inside is pretty small but has enough tables and chairs to fit several groups of customers. We would definitely come back and try other flavors! read more

Wasn't super impressed with this tbh. The pizzas (we tried chicken tikka masala and mango paneer) needed more sauce, both to impart flavor and to make it less dry. Could also be more spicy. I'd try it again but it's not at the top of my list. read more

Amazing food and awesome owners! I have been here three times now and each time the menu has grown larger with new delights to try. Today we had: Samosa Pizza- stuffed with potato and peas with amazing green sauce. Chicken Tikka Pizza- soooo good! Tender chicken, red onion and tikka sauce with a killer cheese pull. Spaghetti Stromboli- carbs on carbs but so flavorful and still tender and moist inside the crust. A sample of the new peanut butter, banana, jelly, mozzarella bread- a wild creation that I never thought would work but ended up being our favorite! Salty, gooey, and sweet. Another gem located accross from my work. Amazing selection of unique pizzas, especially Indian inspired. 1.50 individual slices of pepperoni or cheese . Not a great dining area, but great for takeout. They serve beer and wine, too! I'll return to get a pb&j and paneer tikka pizza. read more

This came highly recommended by the locals and I didn't think it was going to be this good, but this place is great. I was surprised they had halal options and this pepperoni was awesome. I got the smallest size pizza for myself as this was my lunch and I ate the whole thing in one sitting. It's definitely not the kind of place you want to dine in, but it's not meant to be that type of pizza joint. The owner and staff are also very courteous and welcoming. I was really excited to try this place according to the other reviews. I bet the indian dishes are better but I can only rate off of what we actually tried which was the tikka masala pizza and the samosa pizza. They both ate really dry to me. They came with chutney for dipping which is great, but I needed about 10 times the amount provided. The workers and owner seemed super nice. read more

I love coming here on any given day of the week. My first time in, the owner was experimenting with a new hot drink made from maiz and he handed a few out to anyone who wanted to try it. It has since become my favorite thing to get from here even though it is not an official menu item. One time I went in for that specific drink and the owner wasn't selling it and went out of his way to make me a batch from scratch! I love how enthusiastic the owner is when he's handing out samples of a new topping or pizza combination he came up with! i swear this has been the case almost every time i come in haha. This is a basic no frills pizza shop with a decent slice of pie. We went for our first time hangry after a Dr apt. We walked in and (I think the owner) immediately greeted us and asked was it our first time. We said yes and looked at their small menu. Before we even got to place the order he hands us two free slices and tells us "you eat first, then we'll talk." You did not have to tell us twice. (They're new to the area, this could change!) It was fresh out of the oven, and had a nice bit of grease on it, perfect for a fresh pie. It was so hot the toppings started oozing off and the poor pepperoni slice was holding onto the string of cheese for dear life. It was a good slice of pizza. Cam thought it could do with a bit more salt on the crust or "it was missing something", but we're old and he need to watch our salt anyway. Ordered two pies (he wouldn't let us pay until we picked it up) and went next door for Cam's Jarritos hunt. He went back to pick up and paid for the order. He handed him a tip because apparently someone already stole his tip jar. Come on, people!! We enjoyed it. It's very basic, no frills, a great price point, and definitely hit the spot. This restaurant just came to Ypsilanti maybe a month or so ago and I finally had a chance to try it out since I was in the area. Food: the pizza was very tasty! The pizzas are cooking in one of those rolling stoves so it makes the crust and the bottom have a very nice crunch. I wouldn't have minded if there was some Parmesan and dipping sauces available but since the restaurant is just starting out, only the basics for now. The pizza was only $12 for a large so overall very tasty and fresh and very affordable. Service: service was excellent! I was extremely hungry since I had not eaten yet that day while waiting for my pie and since some pepperoni pizza by the slice (only $1!) had just came up he gave me a slice for free to try! I can also tell that the owner is still exploring his options with what to bring to the menu and he asked if he should put wings on the menu and im like umm YAH because 1. I love wings and 2. Super Bowl is right around the corner but I appreciate him asking when I was just a first time customer coming in. Ambience: this looks like your standard pizza counter but it is still under construction so it wasn't much to expect here. Overall if I'm in the area and looking for a cheap bite to eat I'll go here due to it being pretty tasty and friendly good service. read more

Mama Pizza is such a gem. I am so proud to have this establishment in Ypsilanti. The owner is one of the kindest, offering samples or for us to try different concoctions and even a free bottled water one time when we had to wait longer than expected for a pick up order. The place is mostly designed for carryout orders, but there is a table or two to sit at if you desire to sit and eat. The owner is very creative in his different offerings and has many Indian fusion choices, which I find intriguing and exciting. He is very kind and very proud of his business. The gentleman offered a discount. All good but the sauce was scant and there wasn't a huge Italian flavor. You know, like add a little basil, garlic, and/or oregano. Add some Parmesan cheese. This is our go-to pizza place in Ypsilanti now. The over is very nice and gave us free slices to try on a couple of different occasions. We usually stick with pepperoni and we believe it's probably the best in town. The menu of never before seen pizza topping combinations is remarkable. Really doesn't look like much but this place is a DIAMOND IN THE ROUGH, I just got off an 11 hour shift and had ate nothing, I saw a flyer at my work place for $1 slice of pizza, The flyer was very basic and obviously was made by an individual on a printer, So after work i stopped by and got a slice of the halal pepperoni pizza, boy oh boy did it hit the spot, i then proceeded to order a while pizza to take home to my mom, Only $9! The prices are very reasonable and the atmosphere is one of a kind. I highly recommend this place and hope to see it become more popular which it deserves! i should add that the indian man at the counter is very nice and I was saddened to hear someone stole his tip jar :( read more

We got pizza here after a very long drive from VA, so we were looking for fast (and ideally, good-tasting) pizza -- ended up getting the veggie pizza, which was very good! Good crust, good assortment of veggies and nothing was over-cooked or over-done. The owner of the restaurant was also very nice and suggested we try his Somosa pizza, which was also very tasty.
