The owner is so kind and you just feel so warm and welcomed when you walk in. We were given a free calzone (I believe it was a calzone) while we waited for our pizza to finish cooking and it was incredible AND vegetarian!! A huge plus for me since I'm vegetarian, but my husband also loved it. The sauces that were served with it were amazing, too. I got the chutney potato pizza and my husband got the chicken tikka masala pizza. We both agreed we would absolutely get these pizzas again. They're so flavorful and the crust has the perfect texture and chew. Overall it's always a 10/10 experience at Mama Pizza with fast and extremely friendly service along with TONS of flavor! They deserve so much support.

Who would've thought to combine a dosa with a quesadilla? This was definitely the best dosa I've ever had -- perfect amount of crunch! And the fillings were spectacular. Plus, this place is very affordable -- lots of food for the price -- bang for your buck! Plus, the owner of this place was very sweet and threw in lots of freebies. He even recognized us again the next time we came back (he brought up a conversation we had prior, which showed that he truly remembered)! Highly recommend checking out this local business in Ypsilanti, MI -- good places like these are hard to come by.

It doesn't look like much...walking up from the lot it shares with a gas station on this non-descript section of Ford Blvd. I knew that this area can be a bit of a rough part of town. Exiting off I-94, I smiled to myself as I witnessed 4 motorcycles doing wheelies at about 45 MPH on the Boulevard. I thought to myself..."get your pie and get out of Dodge". :) As I claimed my pizza at the counter, I was very impressed with Perfect's pricing...only $10 and change for a Large with Three Toppings! I think that was the least expensive pie I've purchased since the start of the 3rd Millennium. Opening up the box, I was blown away with the quantity of toppings on my pizza. Onions, 'shrooms and pineapple densely populated my pie along with my choice of the butter-garlic Parmesan crust. It's not often that I throw a nickel to a pizza joint with only a pick-up window...but Pizza Perfect earned it the old fashioned way. Outstanding taste and excellent attitude at the check-out counter. It became immediately obvious to me that Pizza Perfect is out to earn your business. After scarfing down my first piece, I could completely understand Pizza Perfect's underground mystique among pizza aficionados. 5 big ones!

My review of this establishment is a little overdue. With that being said. I was meeting a friend…read moreof mine and she arrived first. When I got to the restaurant there were exactly 5 patrons in the building my friend, and 4 people sitting at a table by the door. My friend approached me at the door we hugged and returned to our table. Once we sat we instantly started a conversation and waited patiently for the waitress to come to our table. Again, the restaurant was not busy and usually in most places I've gone once all the people that are dining arrives the server usually returns. This unfortunately did not happen. We sat for roughly 20 minutes drinking water and reviewing the menu. There were some other people that came into the establishment and sat at the table next to us.The server took drinks to the table by the door which those people were already there and then proceeded to take the order of the people that sat next to my table despite coming in after my friend and I. Needless to say my friend and I left. Because the environment started to feel a bit racist. We sat there extremely patiently not being addressed one time after I joined my friend just to be blatantly ignored for the server to attend to only the white patrons in the building.

My only complaint? I wish the crust was a little crispier. But hey, apparently I'm a tough crowd. We also tried the smash burger, and everyone LOVED it. Juicy, cheesy, and seriously delicious. The burger actually reminded me of the old Steak 'n Shake burgers before they changed the recipe. And if you know, you know. Overall, very good food, good ingredients, and definitely worth the stop. I'll gladly defend that 7.8 pizza score , but the burger might have pushed the overall experience even higher. We'll absolutely be back the next time we're in Ann Arbor!
