I love Anthony's. The service is 5 star, and the food is as well. The scallops and goat cheese appetizer were spectacular. The convenience of having 3up right upstairs is great too, allows for an awesome night out. read more

Anthony's Chophouse is just what the Nugget needed! My husband and I made reservations for NYE for our 8 year anniversary. We were pleasantly surprised by the appeal and ambience of the restuarant. First plus was the fact they carried Tahoe Blue Vodka, my husbands favorite. The staff were all wonderful! Art came by the table to open a bottle of wine and recommended the 24 layer cake for dessert. Our server Shelia did a wonderful job and so did her helper. We are excited for our next night out to Anthony's Chophouse. P.S. the 24 layer cake is to die for, enough got 6 people! read more

If I could give Anthony's more than 5 stars, I absolutely would. Everything they do there is pure magic. We frequent Anthony's often and have fallen in love with the management, wait staff, bartenders, and FOOD! You can almost say we are "regulars" now. One thing we appreciate greatly is that even tho we are regulars and easy to please we never get treated differently. Service is always top notch and so is the food. My personal favorite is their Halibut dish as well as the short rib. My husbands the scallops or the gnocchi. Of course the steaks are great as well but their entrees are where we feel the magic is. A perfect night for us is enjoying dinner in their beautifully designed bar area, while sipping a masterfully crafted cocktail. Then moving upstairs the their more "lively" bar called 3up and enjoy a bottle of champagne or tequila. We love that we are able to make a reservation with a small minimum upstairs to ensure that we have the spot we like outside! Thank you Anthony and 3Up for making our lives a little bit more fun. read more

Anthony's is interesting. The service was outstanding. The wine was outstanding. The appetizers were outstanding. The sides were outstanding. The atmosphere was outstanding. The scallops were outstanding. BUT.... The steak was mediocre. Two of the three steaks at our table were less than satisfactory. Our server was excellent and offered to fix it. I just feel like if you're going to be a steakhouse, your best offering should be your steak. I don't know if we will come back here for steak, but we will come back for everything else. read more

Good food and atmosphere. However, the waiters have a fun little trick where they point to a reasonably priced menu item, then throw in some other words like "lemon zested" or "barrel aged", then when you get your bill, the item costs 150% of what the menu said. We've been there twice and it happened both times. read more

Had a really poor experience last night. I had to send my streak back twice. It was never really the way I like it. But the last time it came out, it was charred! I didn't ask for charred. They wound up comping the steak but I came to have a nice dinner. It didn't happen. I was really disappointed. Also ordered the King Crab legs. $85 per lb. They looked like scraps from someone who just ate crab legs. And they were closer to snow crab because they were really small. It was my birthday dinner and it was really disappointing. I won't be back read more

Overall really enjoyed my experience at Anthony's. The location and ambiance is incredible, the nicest looking restaurant in all of Carmel, maybe all of Indiana. The service was good, as expected in a fancy steakhouse. The food was overall good, not great. I ordered the Delmonico steak was seasoned perfectly but was overcooked, ordered medium rare, got a medium well. I really enjoyed the presentation of the lobster bisque, very creamy but lacked lobster chunks, I got 2 pieces. Wife got the burger, they used Wagyu beef for this, it was really good, the bacon jam was nice touch. Overall if you enjoy steakhouses, it's worth checking out. read more

I've been here twice and both times the food was very good as you would expect for a chophouse. My most recent visit is why I'm giving them 4.5 stars since the avocado was left off of our heirloom tomato salads but I'm able to look past it due to the rest of the experience and the pleasant time we had there. As a mentioned above the avocado was left off the heirloom tomato salad which was disappointing Solon was I really love avocado- it took me a minute to remember they were supposed to be there and by them I'd eaten the tomato which were very fresh and delicious but would have been even better with avocado. We both ordered the filets and they were cooked to our liking. I added scallops and they were exceptionally prepared and a great compliment to my steak. A side mushrooms and French fried completed our meal. I think good food and service are expected at any steakhouse but tonight our service was exceptional. Our waitress, Ivy, was very attentive and we great conversations. You could tell she was enjoying what she doing and that makes all the difference. read more

Do not order the beef rib. Very dry and flavorless. Chef does not know how to do beef ribs! Partner had a filet which was very flavorful however. Started with a couple appetizers of shrimp and crab both good but pricy for what you get. We had macaroni, asparagus and mushroom sides and shared. They were all very good but everything very overpriced. This is no 5 star restaurant nor a 1 or 2 star b/c the waiter we had was phenomenal. He could recite the menu in his sleep. But how does that makeup for the overpriced and dry food? I thought long and hard and decided this is a 3 star restaurant! read more

My husband had group event he was here for upstairs, so I sat in the restaurant portion with the kids and gave them their first fine dining experience! Normally not a place I would bring the kids, but they enjoyed it. This would be a perfect date night spot! The French martini was perfect! Scallops and lobster tail were the best I've ever had. Not a cheap meal by any means, but definitely worth every penny! Will definitely be back again for date night on our own. read more

For the price, I was not all that impressed. Food was okay. The waiter was nice but had his mask below his nose the entire time. Did not keep social distance either. Should I have to mention this? No. Too pricey for what you get. Great idea, just polish the menu to go with the price. read more

Great wine list! Excellent food and service! Can only give 4 stars due to their valet service. Need to find a better system (perhaps a side alley) so that waiting for the valet doesn't cause world-war3 on Main Street from impatient residents trying to get by. read more

My first time here, I picked it because of the reviews. My expectation was a 10 but left there at a 4. The restaurant decor was nice. It was very hard to hear our server due to the noise, very frustrating. The appetizer was the Pig and Fig, which was ok. The wedge salad was nice but the bacon was so hard, it made you feel you were eating Bacos bacon bits. The entrée was the 16oz Provencal Ribeye. It was cooked perfectly Medium. The seasoning and butter made it hard to eat. The Hasselback Potato was not cooked through. 3/4ths of the potato was raw. When we talked to the manager, the only thing they offered was a free dessert. It was so disappointing that I will find a better steak house. Peterson's or St. Elmos. read more

We had some big hits and some big misses during our first visit to Anthony's. I loved the vibe. I loved the downtown Carmel location. It wasn't very crowded, but maybe as the weather continues to get better, so will the crowd. But lets break down the food/drinks. Hit: The drinks...they carried Domaine Carneros, a favorite of mine. Hit: The oysters...were AMAZING. Miss: The caesar salad. It was WAY too fishy. Caesar salads are my favorite and you expect a bit of that anchovy flavor, but not overwhelmingly so. What I disliked the most, is if you are going to include the actual anchovy, you should definitely ask whether that's preferred or not. I prefer not to have that on my salad and was disappointed by that. Big Miss: The steaks. Okay, it's a chophouse. So, I expect a pretty amazing steak. Especially for $50-$60 a pop. ESPECIALLY when it's "wagyu" or in my husbands case, the house specialty ribeye. We are also the type of people that you can go under or over (slightly) and we aren't going to complain. But when BOTH of our steaks arrive with that purple/blue-ish muscle color/texture. What choice do we have but to send them back, sadly. (we both ordered medium rare) Unfortunately, after they brought them back, they were just marginally better. Which is why I hate sending steaks back. It's like, they just don't recover from that, ever. Hit...and miss: Loved the smashed potatoes. However, when they took my husbands steak back to correct the temperature, they didn't return the potatoes he already had on his plate. So, kinda missed out on a large chunk of them. Hit: Loved the bone marrow butter. That was the best part of my steak. Hit: Dessert. The bread pudding was fantastic. Miss: They did nothing to offer any kind of "make good" on the misses. Not even by comping the dessert. So a $350 dinner that left both of us saying, we probably won't go back. In actuality, had they done some kind of acknowledgment or make good, we may have actually tried them again. read more

A group of us went into Anthonys recently (last week). We had a great time, the place is GORGEOUS, food terrific and overall a great experience. This is the ultimate steakhouse experience. Food and service are exceptional! Expensive, and worth it!

I recently went here with my fiancée to celebrate a year of being engaged and we definitely choose the right place to ring in the special occasion. From the moment we walked in, I was stunned by the decor- the tall ceilings, unique art, and dark rich tones are very cozy and inviting. We were greeted by our awesome server, Courtney, who was so gracious and attentive throughout our meal. She asked if we were celebrating and we told her about our special occasion and were spoiled at the end of our meal with not only a complimentary desert (a decadent bread budding) but a champagne toast and truffles! I have never felt so spoiled by a dining experience. Our meals were delicious and steaks were cooked perfectly. Portion sizes for the salads and sides are generous, so definitely come hungry. It's a little bit on the pricier side, but worth the splurge. We will definitely be back soon! read more

Anthony's Chophouse - amazing dessert. bread pudding and chocolate cake thing! - Steakhouses Near Me - Carmel, Indiana

Overall a solid dining experience for us. Sure the cocktails and butcher block items can be on the pricey side like most steakhouses on the upper end class, but they offer more a bit choices on appetizers and even entrees that is more on the middle range. If you like pork and particularly pork belly, I highly recommend the duroc pork belly appetizer. A big block of tender juicy pork belly sliced diagonally with just enough layer of fat served with a little corn salsa and bbq glaze. Though I wish they put more of those bbq glaze on the plate just to cut the rich porkiness after several bites. My ribeye was perfectly cooked, and I like that they serve it with an egg and sundried tomato. The wifey enjoyed her scallops with chorizo and polenta. The side of creamy brussel sprouts was excellent, but the roasted was just ok. Service was great and the place really look nice, posh and modern. Attached free parking garage always a plus. Denifitely a great choice for special occasions and maybe even a date night without necesarily having to totally break the bank. read more

Had a corporate event tonight in the upstairs private room with a bar and a dedicated bar tender...Jose. To say that the event for exceeded our expectations would be an understatement. Our entire wait staff and service was top notch. Jose is an amazing bartender and really made this more of an experience than just dinner. I highly recommend Anthony's for any corporate event and definitely request Jose if you want an above board experience like no other. Thank you to the entire Anthony's service team that made our event special and unique. Adding to my previous review. Had a second corporate event at Anthony's and I can't say enough about Courtney and Jose. Courtney is so knowledgeable about the menu and options. Just an amazing server and knows he her trade better than anyone. Jose, is a true mixologist and will give an experience like no other. Anthony's is lucky to have them both and are the reason we will be back for future events. Went to Anthony's Chophouse for dinner to celebrate a anniversary. If you like wine or whiskey to drink then this restaurant is for you. But if you would like a cocktail like one that has rum in it or a margarita for get it! Worst Margarita I ever had and my husband's drink was horrible to. Then we ordered a appetizer oysters which were horrible over cooked. Anthony chop salad was good. Main course I had lamb chops I asked them to be prepared at Medium Well our waiter made a big deal about it and said he could not guarantee it would be prepared that way! My husbands filet was good but so small for the price. Our sides were good the rainbow carrots and shoestring flies. Our waiter was so so I would not say outstanding. When we didn't order a dessert he said I guess I will get you a bread pudding not my choice for a dessert he really should have asked which dessert can I offer you! Needless to say I would not recommend Anthony's Chophouse. Nor will I return. read more

Its a decent steakhouse. I like the modern interior complete with high ceilings and feels very open. The service is friendly. Valet parking is available. Decent wine selection and has a modern steakhouse vibe. The food though was just ok. They serve prime steaks which is great but the ribeye I ordered wasn't cooked to my liking. I asked for medium and i got medium rare. The calls corn and broccolini sides were lackluster. The 2 cocktails were not strained properly. Martinis shouldn't have bits and pieces of ice rocks. Call me picky but I'm expecting top notch food for their price point. Overall, it deserves 3.5 stars if such exists. read more

Great fathers day location! Anthony's Chophouse is a great restaurant if you truly want to celebrate something great. Not only were we there for fathers day, but we had a great month for my business, and are glad we could close our month out with an amazing dinner. The service was great. Our server was very welcoming, knowledgeable, and attentive. He was able to answer several questions my family and I had about the menu and sold us on one of the appetizers by his description. The decor and atmosphere was also very pleasant. Its and upscale restaurant, but it doesn't make you fell like you need to be in a suit and tie. Lots of windows to let in a lot if light, but when It gets dark the moods becomes more warm with the restaurants lighting. We ordered the Charlie Pounder and the Broiled Goat cheese. The Charlie Pounder was the best! A Waygu Beef Meatball, we all had to try that. It came with a delicious sauce and the mushrooms with it were great. The server sold us on the Broiled Goat Cheese. I don't like goat cheese due to it's very pungent flavor, but the way this was prepared was remarkable. You still get some of that intense goat cheese flavor, but its much milder and is complemented very well with the tomatoes. Extremely cream, I ended up combining it with our Waygu meatball. I had the Cowgirl, a Prime Bone-in Ribeye. My mother had the Salmon, and my father had the Rotisserie Chicken. I wouldn't say the steak was a game changer, but I know if I come back and want to really play with my palate, there is more than enough creativity on the menu. A few Waygu options, dry aged beef, and so much more! The chicken was good, but the star of the dish was truly the Polenta! I had a piece and it was spectacular. I not a fan of fish, but my mother said it was really good. We all shared the Creamy Mac and Cheese and the Twice Broiled Yukons. I believe there is horseradish in the Yukon. I am not a fan of horseradish, but again, they are able to tone down the intensity and have it complement the entire dish well. Over all it was a great meal. You will be spending a lot, but if it is a really special occasion then it is worth it! read more

This is the type of restaurant that downtown Carmel was waiting for. Although Ruth's Chris is located on 86th, there is no need to travel downtown for an upscale steakhouse. In the newly and continually growing downtown Carmel scene, Anthony's is a well executed contemporary steakhouse design. A large bar welcomes you on entering. The dining space is two floors with the upstairs equipped with the bar from the Glass Chimney. Cocktails were the black walnut old fashioned (I wonder if they use Cardinal Spirits' Nocino) and a limoncello/vodka/prosecco cocktail that were both enjoyable. I started with a 1/2 dozen East Coast oysters with the chili magnonette. The sweet house ketchup that also comes is a bit too sweet for my liking. The tempura cauliflower is fantastic with a delicious roasted red pepper bisque with just the slightest bit of spice. The petite filet and 8 oz filet were cooked perfectly with a delicious salt and pepper crust. There are many personalizations that are available for the steaks - we went with the black truffle butter and the port cherry demi. Solid picks. Two sides of the broccolini with shaved almonds and cherry and the gnocchi were both filling. I recommend the gnocchi and the broccolini is a hefty order as well. For dessert we split the Kentucky bourbon bread pudding that was very tasty and recommended by our waitress. A nice white tablecloth dining experience. We were seated promptly and the staff was attentive to detail - I even saw them re-make the same table three times as the tablecloth was not suitable enough for them. We plan to return. read more

We celebrated my husband's 30th birthday here, and it did not disappoint! The atmosphere was lovely, the cocktails were strong, and the food was fabulous. I started with a dirty martini with freshly stuffed blue cheese olives. It was made perfectly! Next I had the lobster bisque, and it was amazing! For dinner I had the 7 oz filet, smashed yukon potatoes, and the brussels au gratin. Everything was cooked perfectly and I had to be rolled out of there! read more

Anthonys is a locally owned gem, but has the top notch sophistication & quality you'd expect from a chain steakhouse. Located downtown Carmel it is perfectly situated for a night out celebrating (like we did when we came) or for drinks & an app before a night out on the town. The decor is stunning with a 2-story open concept with warm woods & bricks situated amongst floor to ceiling windows for a modern meets old study vibe. The cocktail menu is HUGE and delicious. Since we were celebrating a birthday and anniversary they provided us complimentary champagne to toast (what a great touch) and my husband ordered an old fashioned served with a wood smoker top fired up table side. Every single dish we ordered was delicious- crab cakes, oysters, wedge, filet, & sea scallops - 10/10 perfect! Our service was beyond what we expected- our server was extremely knowledgeable, respectful of our desire to slowly work our way through dinner celebrating and made us feel like regulars even though it was our first time there. Delicious - upscale and upbeat environment - Love the salmon salad at lunch - great place for family celebrations.

After year end closes out at my company each year I'm in charge of planning the party to celebrate. This year I chose a private dinner at Anthony's Chophouse. According to myself and my co-workers this was the best event we've had for our year end celebration since I've been in charge of the planning! Anthony's Chophouse requires a limited menu if you have over 15 guests. We had 20 so we had to go with the limited menu. I think some of us were disappointed in that because we had our hearts set on items that were off menu, but understandably it is a more efficient way to provide great customer service. We started with a few appetizers - the Broiled Goat cheese, pickled tempura cauliflower, and bread & butter. All of them were delicious but the tempura cauliflower was the real winner for me! So delicious!! Next were the salads. I went with the wedge salad and it was very filling. I enjoyed the different textures within the salad. On to the entree - We had the choices of the Petite Filet, Salmon, or Ribs. I went with the filet but apparently the ribs were the real star of the show. My co-worker said they were the best ribs she's ever tasted. The filet was very delicious, almost melted in your mouth. It was cooked perfectly. As sides we had the mushrooms & spinach, smashed yukons, and creamy mac. The spinach and mushrooms could have used a touch more seasoning, but the smashed yukons and creamy mac were so tasty. Finally we ended with the bread pudding and I thought it was delicious. I'm reading on the menu that it comes with whipped cream - we didn't get any of that with ours. But the bourbon salted caramel was perfect with the bread pudding. My only complaint was that there wasn't enough sauce. I will note that while I thought the bread pudding was good, about half of our group said it was horrible. Now onto the BAR! First off, the bar upstairs in the private event room is such a cute antique. I'm obsessed with it. The bartender was so great and patient, we really worked him! The cocktails were great, but the wine selection was even better. Overall, the food was good, service and atmosphere were excellent. I will definitely be back! read more

Checked out the new steakhouse, my wife, my son, and my daughter. Had high expectations but was disappointed. The ambience is okay and being next to the Monon may appeal, but it felt cold and people looking in while we ate was offsetting. That in itself was not a showstopper, but the steaks came out at room temperature, not hot at all, and definitely not as if they just came off the fire. The fries were greasy and somewhat soggy. The Brussels sprouts were tasty, but cool, and the Gnocchi's were okay. I expected the place to be pricy, but I also expected the food to be top quality and it was not. I do not want to deter anyone from going and forming their own opinions, but for the cost, you may want to consider alternatives such as Mo's and Capitol Grill. I had high hopes, but.... read more

So...still trying to figure out the hype surrounding Anthony's. Undoubtedly because Carmel has finally received an upscale steakhouse. While we were very hopeful that Anthony's would knock it out of the park, it was a total swing and a miss. The best feature of the restaurant was the light on the table. We encourage you to push the button on the bottom and bring some personalization to your your experience. There are multiple options and it was quite fun. Use it to countdown the minutes until your drink arrives or perhaps change the colors to flag down your waiter. So...let's discuss the experience. Knowing that Anthony's is new and there will be a learning curve on their part, we were expecting the usual growing pang kinks. However, we weren't expecting them to be completely oblivious to the fact that they weren't up to par. We were seated upstairs immediately next to the bar. This might be considered a bonus in regards to your beverage experience. Not the case. Upon being seated, we waited 30 minutes for our first cocktail. We observed our waiter approach the bar repeatedly, only to be shooed swayed by the bartender whose main concern was those sitting before him. All other drinks were an afterthought. We opted to start with salads and forego the appetizers. My wedge was a generous portion and flavorful despite being a touch dry. My wife went with the grilled watermelon salad. The presentation and grilled watermelon were perfection, but much of the flavor was drowned in dressing. Our entrees included the ribeye and salmon. Both flavorful, but basic in regards to presentation and accompaniments. Neither worth their hefty price tag. Throughout this experience, we watched our waiter repeatedly walk past our table and empty drinks. We had to request the bread that should have initially been brought to the table and sadly we sent back the gnocchi side to the entrees that was luke warm at best. We had also requested the wine menu upon being seated and had every intention of ordering a bottle, but that quickly went to the wayside when our experience continued on the downside and our server never asked us if we would like something other than water. When all was said and done, our server thanked us for our patience, he suspected we weren't impressed with our experience, but not insightful enough to figure out why. read more
