BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY. I signed up for the monthly service and told I can cancel at anytime, that it was a month to month, THAT IS A LIE! They came to do the first tune up and I was told that I needed a new compressor (strange it was working fine) while they were cleaning the AC half the power in my house went out. I asked the kid working on it what did he do, he got nasty and said for me to stop accusing him. I told him the facts are I had electricity before he starting working on the system and now I don't. He said I had faulty electrical system. He said he was going to call his boss, 15 min later I said did you call your boss and he didn't, so i called the office. I received a call back and told Barry the story, he said he would come over the next day. He did and said he only seen this happened 3 or 4 times were the electricity back flowed and shorted out the electrical panel and that he would send there electrician to check it out. I receive a call from Andrew that said he was the owner of the company and they are not taking any responsibility on the electrical problem or sending anyone to check out the problem. I said at lease send a license electrician to look at the problem and he said NO. So now I have no AC and half my house is without eclectic. My house was inspected 2 years ago when I purchased it and have had license electrician work on the house, and everything worked fine before the tune up. read more

Anthem has been my go-to maintenance and repair company for 6 years going. What got me hooked? My AC failed mid-July, and it was going to be an overnight job. The house quickly jumped to 90 degrees indoors--miserable. They came at 7pm to hookup 3 portable 'R2D2' ACs so we'd be comfortable overnight. That next Fall, we then used them to install a new AC. Did I get bids from other companies? Of course! Who was the most flexible and creative in Their bid? Anthem. Who was the least expensive? Anthem. (Who was the most expensive, by 3x? Your clue is 'The Lieutenant'). I highly recommend them for you bi-annual maintenance. **I'd like to briefly address the reviews on Anthem's work with home warranties like AHS. These warranties are junk. Save your $ and put what you'd pay for the 'warranty' away for future repairs instead. If your AC compressor fails, you need a new system. Unless it's still covered by a factory warranty, compressors last 10+ years and if they fail, you need a new condenser (entire outdoor unit). American Home Shield maxes their AC policy out at $1000, and a new AC is gonna run you $3-6,000 at least. The reviews need to be about AHS, not the vendors. read more

My tenant's a/c went out on Tues. 6/16/15 in La Quinta, CA, where the weather has been over 100+ degrees. Per CA Law, I only had 48 hours to get them a new unit. Fidelity Home Warranty called me on Wed. 6/17/15 telling me the additional cost not covered. I authorized the cost. They were able to order it right away, but when I asked them when it would get to the A/C vendor to install it, they told me it is usually one and half weeks. NOT GOOD. In the meantime, Jack from ANTHEM Mechanical called me and he said I could buy his upgraded unit and he could install it on Thurs, 6/18/15, which would meet my deadline per the CA Law. OH MY GOOD ANTHEM ROCKS. They were completely professional, put the unit in with the deadline per CA Law despite their ridiculously busy schedules and made it happen. THIS COMPANY has AMAZINGLY GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE not to mention EXCELLENT PRODUCTS. I work for a major commercial property management company and can't get my vendors to turn around work this quick. I would highly recommend these guys in a "New York Minute" read more

After several technicians from various AC companies being sent out by my home warranty and bandages being put on my old air conditioner, plus 100's of my dollars spent on refrigerant due to leaks, Anthem Air Conditioning was sent out. The technician surveyed the situation and with me asking several questions I decided it was necessary and less expensive in the long run to purchase a new AC and Air Handlers. Anthem sent out their technician Todd and his assistant for installation. They were very thorough, careful bringing in and taking out equipment from my home, polite and gave me a satisfactory answer to all questions. I mentioned that I had a problem with sewer gas odors in my home in the summer. Todd explained that it could be a broken plumbing vent which he found in the attic and repaired. Can't say enough good things about Anthem's employees and products. I'm ecstatic to have my house cooling properly and the sewer gas odor gone. Thank you Todd, Assistant and Anthem. read more

Terrible Customer Service Experience with Anthem Air Conditioning Rating: My recent encounter with Anthem Air Conditioning has left me thoroughly disappointed and frustrated. Two months ago, I paid $100 for a service tune-up, after which they assured me that everything was in perfect working order. However, now my cooling system is not functioning at all. When I reached out to Anthem Air Conditioning to address the issue and request their assistance, they completely brushed me off. The level of rudeness and unprofessionalism I experienced was astounding. Instead of taking responsibility for their previous service and offering a solution, they showed complete disregard for my concerns. Considering their poor customer service and lack of accountability, I strongly advise against using Anthem Air Conditioning. If you have the option, I recommend requesting Gibson through your home warranty instead. read more

My rooftop heatpump was installed this morning without a hitch. The unit was a replacement through American Home Shield Home Warranty who I'd recommend without reservation as well. My main technician at Anthem, Jose, was extremely personable and knowledgeable, with lengthy and complete explanations for all of my questions. Lylybelle in the office was more on top of the paperwork aspect than I was, verifying my receipt of all communications. Also, she was extremely knowledgeable and helpful with explanations of installation procedures. All appointments were scheduled well in advance at my convenience. Even the day I had to call back three times to change the appointment time, she couldn't have been more pleasant and accommodating. Their pricing extremely competitive for my out of pocket costs after the covered costs from the Home Warranty. I feel totally comfortable recommending their services. read more

Well to be honest after a totally new system installation in July when the AC died underwritten in small part by my AHS insurance and an included winter check up and full system check-up just a few weeks ago I was pretty frustrated when the heat refused to come on at all on the weekend when the night time temperatures first dipped. However mightily pleased when called on Monday (New Year's Eve) and they sent out an experienced technician within the time allotted window and he troubleshooted the apparently minor problem and got the system up and running. Mechanical gremlins do surface from time to time but this was great service and the technician was very personable and to be commended. Thank you Anthem and Lillybell ( patient and friendly office person) and Migel (technician).from a warm and happy customer as well as his comfortable New Year's guests for making things right. read more

I have never written a recommendation for a service company or repair personnel before, but recently had need for air conditioning service and my insurance company referred me to Anthem. They responded on site to my service needs within two hours, and the serviceman (David E.) that arrived at my door was not only spotlessly clean, but cheerful, courteous and very informative of what he would be doing and what might ultimately be needed to correct the problem. I have a well-maintained older unit which needed extensive work and David did that work outdoors in hot conditions to resolve the problem with a cheerful attitude and determination to get the job done. He was courteous, cheerful, informative and thorough throughout the process and I would recommend this company and its personnel to anyone. read more

Contacted Anthem Mechanical in response to an advertisement I saw in the newspaper promoting new AC systems at very competitive prices. Jack came out to my home and provided a proposal to replace my existing 30yrs + system. All discussions on options were based on the advertised deals with no up sell involved. This was very different to other contractors whom I approached after seeing an advertised deal. We agreed to proceed with the installation of a 4 ton Trane Heat Pump System as the pricing and product was very competitive. The installation crew were very attentive and respectful of our home. They worked in the heat to complete the installation and coped well with the small issues encountered when replacing such an old system. We are very pleased with the end result. read more

Quality HVAC and solar company. They do everything from the small service call and repair or changing out equipment to a full energy efficient home performance job. I selected the home performance job, which included removing the old insulation and ducts before vacuuming the attic where I knew rodents had made there home. They added some ceiling lights and speakers while they were at it. Air sealed the attic to help make my home more comfortable and healthy. Then built a new cat walk, HVAC platform, before blowing in insulation to an R-50 level (16"). They are now putting in a solar system that is almost half the size it would of been before replacing the old HVAC systems and adding the insulation. So happy with the professional crew and the quality of work. read more

Anthem Mechanical was chosen for me by American Home Shield my home warranty insurance. At the outset, I was pleased to see that AHS had chosen a local Coachella Valley vendor. The work order was placed for work on the AC in a rental property in Palm Springs in the middle of a heat wave where the temperatures were as high as 120. I was surprised that they said they could get a tech out the next day. The dispatch people at Anthem were very accommodating and helped me deal with the tenant, who's idea of being helpful is to "freak out" (her words). Being an absentee landlord it is not always possible to be on site to oversee the work, therefore I need to rely on the technicians who are dispatched. Thank you Anthem Mechanical and all your staff. read more

We had a 23 year old A/C and heating system that was 23 years old and gasping. We got 2 estimates, then called a neighbor friend/realtor that manages over a dozen rental properties, and another friend, and the bottom line was: call Anthem! Called on a Saturday and arranged an appointment for early Monday. Had the privilege of meeting Andrew. He was on time, walked us through all our options and gave his experienced gentle, professional recommendations, and offered a tremendous follow-up service plan and TREMENDOUS value pricing! Two days later our units were installed, cleanly and professionally. We couldn't be happier campers, and I strongly suggest you call Anthem (and Andrew) for any A/C, Heating, or Solar needs. The freon line to my AC unit sprung a leak, so I contacted my home warranty company (American Home Shield) and they assigned Anthem Mechanical to fix my AC issue. The technician (Andrew V.) showed up on time and quickly diagnosed the problem and promptly fixed it. I was impressed with Andrew's knowledge of HVAC, and with his workmanship on my equipment. He definitely knows what he is doing and did a great job! The Anthem office was easy to work with and scheduled my appointment quickly. They also send out email reminders of my appointment, as well as an email letting you know when the technician was on his way. I would definitely recommend Anthem to anyone needing HVAC service. read more

We had a grungy AC system that was waiting to fail, i had the technician Daryll come out and when he inspected the unit offered me repairs with a decent price. We went through my home warranty to replace the unit. The unit they installed was a Carrier brand unit turns on when i want it to the fan is on auto and im overall very happy with the work they did. On top of installing my ac unit Anthem also installed a Nest wifi thermostat! Now, i have pets in the home, to be able to control the temperature from work is beyond of what i asked for. Thank you Anthem, i am very happy with my experience from the office, to daryll the service repair man, and to the installers. read more

Our air conditioner went out on MemorialDay I called expecting to leave a voice mail. David answered phone and said he would give information to dispatch first thing on morning. I explained that we have a senior with respetatory issues The next morning o was given an appointment . Juan showed up asked me some questions and went about his diagnosis He resolved the problem in a short amount of time. He was punctual, proffesional and neat. This is my first experience with this company as I have a home warranty but will request them in the future. Andrew, the finance guy helped me out so much. He explained the pros and cons of buying or repairing my ac unit. Me and my wife were unsure of how we wanted to proceed based on what our home warranty company was willing to pay for. Our technician. Marcus came right in and let us know what was wrong. Our home made a great choice in contracting this company. In the three years they've had to service my ac, the never steered me wrong. The customer service is excellent and the technicians are reliable and nice. We had an issue with our a/c. They ordered the part and replaced it within a few days, at no cost to us. They continue to be great with servicing our a/c needs. read more

This company damaged my units instead of fixing them. Before you hire them, try calling their office to see if you ever get a response. You won't!!!! More than one month with no communication, no response to my many calls. They supposedly tested my units. Cut the copper and drained two full units of Freon--why???---no reason. Claimed that I needed a need condenser?!?! Thankfully I was sent a new company. They fixed everything this people did to my units, filled them with Freon and I now have them all working. They did this in 3 hours. I had no AC for two months!!! And, they could care less. Do your self a favor and hire someone else. read more

Great customer service from this company. Jack helped me understand why my old unit was making so much noisy and shaking and what my options were. I choose to replace the unit with a more efficient system. He offered financing that was so easy to qualify for and I was able to get all 3 of my units done with their program. David, Noe and Victor did the work at my house. They were clean knowledgeable and very thorough. They even fixed some items to help make my house more comfortable. All the guys at Anthem were very nice snd patient with me and my questions. It is so nice to find an AC contractor I trust and highly recomend. read more

This is a great RELIABLE company. If you live in this Valley, you know the importance of "keeping your word", "showing up on time", "returning your call promptly". This company, not only has the highest grade of equipment, but they KNOW their business! They are installing in homes,, large coprations and mobile homes as wel! Jack Lyons installed a sytem in my friends mobile at Safari Mobile Park. Not one complaint about the price, timing of install, or questions he had concerning his new unit! I would highly recommend this company for your needs! They are a competent company, with many, many years of experience! read more
