I feel the same way about Ruben. He takes pride in his work and genuinely cares about doing the job right. Ruben communicates well, shows up when he says he will, pays attention to the smallest details, and truly enjoys what he does and the happiness it brings his customers. I've had two of the big HVAC companies and one family-owned company work on my home, and I'm used to being ghosted, frustrated, or overcharged. Finding Ruben was such a pleasant change. His price was incredible compared with the several bids I received, and he got our new central air system installed in ONE DAY. But what really impressed me was something so simple: he built a special little flip-up compartment that allows me to pull out the old filter and put in a new one without having to take the front of the system apart. That kind of attention to detail is what has me over the moon. I couldn't be happier with the system, the workmanship, the price, or the experience. And he got it done just in time for this humid desert heat! If you're looking for someone you can trust to treat your home like it was his own, I highly recommend Ruben and Coldchella Air.

Game changer customer service…read more If you live anywhere in the #CoachellaValley and need any type of #HVAC or #AirConditioning service, inspection or equipment replacement, my husband and I confidently recommend you contact #ThomsonAC, (562) 837-0669 I promise, they did not pay me to write this, and I rarely submit reviews. We have been so blown away (no HVAC pun intended) I felt compelled to write a review in hopes of sending more business their way. My review is lengthy, so if you want save yourself time, money and frustration trying to figure out who to use, just call #ThomsonAC now for a quote (or a second opinion): (760) 718-3111 For more than 20 years we have used another reliable and well-known company in the Coachella Valley for purchasing & installing new equipment & bi-annual maintenance at our condo in #PalmDesert. When we recently had to replace (2) HVAC units on a new property in Indio, we were SHOCKED (and depressed) at the quote that came back ($30K!) and they had no interest in negotiating the price. Thankfully, we got a reliable referral from a local real estate agent who uses Thomson for all of his inspections, repairs & replacements, "Just call Ethan at Thomson. I am certain he can do better." He was right. Without hesitation I say the same thing. Not only did they come out within 24 hours to complete a thorough inspection of the units outside and system inside the attic, without having to ask for comparative pricing Ethan gave us 3 quotes (good/better/best) and informed us of the current rebates being offered in our zipcode from IID and the manufacturers, plus Fed tax credit info. Ethan was incredibly knowledgeable about all the systems and took the time to share his recommendations (based on facts, product output and best efficiency for our property, not just the price) and answer all of our questions before leaving the property. He was friendly, informative, professional and truly interested in helping us (vs. the can't be bothered attitude of the other company). Ethan worked up the quotes himself and emailed them the same day. The quotes included a detailed financial breakout of rebates & tax credits for each model option which helped make our decision easy. After calculating rebates, we were able to select two Bosch top of the line/best efficiency units for less than what the "middle/better" option would have been, and add install of a new water heater as well. The entire cost with Thomson was almost HALF of what 'the other company' quoted us for "middle/better". No brainer decision. When the team came to install they were on time, efficient, knew what they were doing, professional and careful precautions taken inside the house to avoid wall/ceiling/floor damage while removing old system and installing new. We are now loyal and satisfied customers! #WOW again: When we received the invoice, it included detailed step-by-step instructions & necessary product information & serial numbers for submitting the rebates with IID, saving a lot of time. Game changer customer service. The WOWS continue: Following the initial install, we asked Ethan to help us come up with a creative solution to install thermostat controlled attic fans (no gables in our roof) that connect to the existing exhaust vents and install another thermostat controlled air intake and exhaust fan in our garage. Again, he took the time, and a couple of visits, to create a workable and affordable solution that during high temps has helped reduce our AC use & further lower our electric bill. Thank you Ethan and thank you to the entire Thomson team. I honestly do not remember the last time I left a negative review on anyone's business page…read more However, I feel like my experience was significant enough to where I needed to share. My HVAC system went out in the summer 2021 and I desperately needed to get a replacement ASAP. Accurate One were the first responders, which I was grateful for. They came and installed the system within two days. Perfect. Everything was fine for about six months. Then clicking noises started happening with the heat pump. This was not normal. Then puffing sounds starting coming from the piping. They came and installed a P trap, which helped with the puffing sounds. However the clicking noises continued. They came out several times and tried easy fixed, all of them failing. I work from home so these noises were very evident, I even recorded them, and played them for the owner and technicians. After multiple visits from them, they just kind of said, "We don't know what's wrong." Then my calls started to go unanswered or I would get late responses. It just felt like they got their money and that's all they cared about. If I'm paying $8500 for an HVAC system, I better not hear any unusual noises from that unit. I should only hear air blowing. Flash forward to June 2024...my tenant called me telling me they there is no cold air. I had a reputable company come out, and they told me the condenser's motor went out. They also informed me that the outside unit I had was a cheap unit from China. I ended up having to replace the whole unit. They put in a brand new Lennox condenser. Then, cut to December 2024...the heat pump wasn't putting out heat. The unit wasn't working properly and failing. Long story, I had to replace that heat pump as well. Also, replaced with a Lennox brand. So, in less than four years, I've spent just over $21,000 on two HVAC systems. This is not counting service visits. However, I trust the new company I'm using now. And I'm confident I will have a HVAC system that will last for many many years. Again, I hate leaving bad reviews, but I just spent a ton of money on a job that wasn't done properly the first time. I felt taken advantage of, and that sucks. And what's worse is that I recommended this company to close friends of mine, who also bought a new HVAC system from them. I just hope their unit lasts longer than mine did. So, if you're considering this company, do your due diligence and your research. Get multiple quotes, ask a lot of questions. I don't want anyone to go through what I had to go through.

When they installed my AC unit, they suggested moving it to a different spot on the side of my house. The new location helped the air flow better and also made the side of my house more walkable and less in the way. It was a small change, but it made a big difference. Since the installation, they have also done maintenance on the unit. Because of that, I have never had my AC break down. They are good at catching small problems early before they turn into bigger issues, especially during the hot summer months. There are a lot of AC companies here in the desert that just treat you like another customer. With SV Air Conditioning, it feels different. they treat you more like family. You can tell they do the job the way they would if it were their own house that needed the work done. Overall, they are reliable, professional, and easy to work with. If you want quality work from people who really care about what they're doing, I definitely recommend them.
