I have a short term rental in Palm Desert and the other night my guest called me to tell me the A/C wasn't blowing at all. I called Paul Mitchell's Air Care (at 9pm by the way), and I was told they could have a tech there within 20 minutes! And, the after hours additional charge was reasonable as well. When the tech arrived, he was able to fix the issue immediately. From Bree in the office to all the techs, everyone here is top notch. I wouldn't even consider going anywhere else. They're the best!!

Paul Mitchell installed the original system. I had problems with the system failing from the start…read more This most recent problem was a control board that failed. This is a Lennox product and Lennox provided a new board. However, I had to use Paul Mitchell for the replacement. They charged me $495 for the tech to replace and configure the board, about two hours his time for the install. I found another company that has helped with HVAC work, including fixing the problems from the original Paul Mitchell installation. Unfortunately, they could not replace the board as it was a RMA from Lennox.. If you are looking for HVAC work, keep looking you can find better.

I recently had Air Plus handle two jobs at my house: a full installation of a new air-conditioning…read moresystem and a repair on a separate unit that had stopped working properly. Jose and his team were fantastic from start to finish. They took the time to explain my options for the new system and helped me pick the right fit for my home, then completed the installation cleanly and efficiently. For the repair, they diagnosed the issue quickly and fixed it without trying to sell me anything I didn't need. What really stood out was the honesty and communication throughout -- no surprise charges, no cut corners. Both units are running great now. If you're looking for a trustworthy, skilled AC company, Air Plus is the way to go. Ask for Jose!

I have nothing but great things to say about Air Plus. They stepped in when another very-well-known…read moreHVAC contractor came to our house, pumped $1,000 worth of refrigerant into a leaky system which only lasted THREE DAYS!! Air Plus explained they don't do business that way. They conducted a four day test on the system to accurately find the leak which turned out to be three leaks - in the coil and in the underground refrigerant lines. They suggested a full system replacement which as actually an upgrade to a more efficient system. The other contractor thought just the coil needed to be replaced at a cost of over $7,000. The entire new system proposed by Air Plus was just a little over $13,000. Because of refrigerant changes, they suggested a whole new system as opposed to just replacing the coil since the condenser and air handler were aging out. Ignacio, Carlos and Jose did a superb job on installation day and with all their hard work, they were finished in just one day. If you are looking for integrity and reasonable pricing do have Air Plus on your bid list.

I called Joe at Blair, and he had a service technician at our house within two hours! He quickly figured out that the AC drainage was being blocked by some shrubs, and he had the problem fixed in about 30 minutes. Even better, the service was covered under our annual maintenance plan, so there was no unexpected expense. When you're dealing with an AC problem--especially when you're already recovering from surgery--having a company that responds quickly, knows what they're doing, and takes care of the problem is priceless. Thank you, Joe and the Blair Heating & Air team, for taking such great care of us! Highly recommend Blair Heating & Air!

Game changer customer service…read more If you live anywhere in the #CoachellaValley and need any type of #HVAC or #AirConditioning service, inspection or equipment replacement, my husband and I confidently recommend you contact #ThomsonAC, (562) 837-0669 I promise, they did not pay me to write this, and I rarely submit reviews. We have been so blown away (no HVAC pun intended) I felt compelled to write a review in hopes of sending more business their way. My review is lengthy, so if you want save yourself time, money and frustration trying to figure out who to use, just call #ThomsonAC now for a quote (or a second opinion): (760) 718-3111 For more than 20 years we have used another reliable and well-known company in the Coachella Valley for purchasing & installing new equipment & bi-annual maintenance at our condo in #PalmDesert. When we recently had to replace (2) HVAC units on a new property in Indio, we were SHOCKED (and depressed) at the quote that came back ($30K!) and they had no interest in negotiating the price. Thankfully, we got a reliable referral from a local real estate agent who uses Thomson for all of his inspections, repairs & replacements, "Just call Ethan at Thomson. I am certain he can do better." He was right. Without hesitation I say the same thing. Not only did they come out within 24 hours to complete a thorough inspection of the units outside and system inside the attic, without having to ask for comparative pricing Ethan gave us 3 quotes (good/better/best) and informed us of the current rebates being offered in our zipcode from IID and the manufacturers, plus Fed tax credit info. Ethan was incredibly knowledgeable about all the systems and took the time to share his recommendations (based on facts, product output and best efficiency for our property, not just the price) and answer all of our questions before leaving the property. He was friendly, informative, professional and truly interested in helping us (vs. the can't be bothered attitude of the other company). Ethan worked up the quotes himself and emailed them the same day. The quotes included a detailed financial breakout of rebates & tax credits for each model option which helped make our decision easy. After calculating rebates, we were able to select two Bosch top of the line/best efficiency units for less than what the "middle/better" option would have been, and add install of a new water heater as well. The entire cost with Thomson was almost HALF of what 'the other company' quoted us for "middle/better". No brainer decision. When the team came to install they were on time, efficient, knew what they were doing, professional and careful precautions taken inside the house to avoid wall/ceiling/floor damage while removing old system and installing new. We are now loyal and satisfied customers! #WOW again: When we received the invoice, it included detailed step-by-step instructions & necessary product information & serial numbers for submitting the rebates with IID, saving a lot of time. Game changer customer service. The WOWS continue: Following the initial install, we asked Ethan to help us come up with a creative solution to install thermostat controlled attic fans (no gables in our roof) that connect to the existing exhaust vents and install another thermostat controlled air intake and exhaust fan in our garage. Again, he took the time, and a couple of visits, to create a workable and affordable solution that during high temps has helped reduce our AC use & further lower our electric bill. Thank you Ethan and thank you to the entire Thomson team. Their reviews as well as overall ratings were what attracted me to use them as well as their experience with split units. My call was answered right away & I was able to get an appointment the next day. That went very smoothly & the technician was very professional & helpful. Unfortunately a while later my Carrier unit's fan motor started making noise. It was Easter weekend, but I called them to see if they could send someone to at least take a look at it. Chris the owner responded to my call & despite being with his family, said he'd be over later that day. When he arrived, he assessed the situation and explained to me that the previous repairs on the ac unit had replaced the fan motor with the wrong size motor for that unit. He took the time to educate me on why the motor was wrong & had resulted in damage to the fan. As a result, both the motor & the damaged fan would need to be replaced. He said he'd work on getting both a new fan and motor for the unit. Unfortunately there were non in stock from the local suppliers as well as LA. We're able to find the right motor & fan at an out of state supplier which was able to ship it UPS 3 day delivery. Parts came a day early, & Chris was there the next day to install both! He again showed me how the new motor & fan were not only the right ones for my unit, but also how it would be more energy efficient as well. Chris is a true professional who genuinely cares for his customers! I'd definitely recommend him to any of my friends in the future!

She even offered a discount for a future check-up--seriously great customer service! Fast forward to Labor Day weekend--of course, the A/C dies again, late at night. Thankfully, a storm rolled in and cooled things off just enough to sleep. I immediately reached back out to Kali the following morning, and she had a tech, Chris, at my place within a couple of hours.
