I recently had a disappointing experience with Dove Air, an HVAC company in Cathedral City, CA. My interactions with Linda, who appears to manage the company, were particularly troubling. She was uncooperative and withheld essential information from both me and my property manager. This lack of transparency led to significant delays in obtaining necessary permits, which in turn has held up my deposit.
When I inquired about the paperwork and the expected timeline, Linda responded with an unpleasant attitude, which was both unexpected and frustrating. She claimed that no other clients had ever been upset over such matters, a statement I found hard to believe. Upon further investigation, I discovered multiple reviews echoing my concerns about Linda's conduct. For instance, on Yelp, a reviewer mentioned that Linda was able to schedule them the same day, but did not comment on her demeanor.

Additionally, the Better Business Bureau (BBB) profile for Dove Air indicates that the business is not accredited and lacks sufficient information to issue a rating.

Linda's misleading information has not only caused delays but has also created conflicts with my Homeowners Association (HOA). She insisted that certain responsibilities fell on us, contrary to the established procedures upheld by our HOA for years. This misrepresentation has further complicated the situation.
It appears that because Dove Air receives payments through insurance companies, there is a diminished sense of accountability towards individual customers. Had Linda provided clear explanations from the outset, much of this confusion and frustration could have been avoided. Instead, after the job was completed, she became unresponsive, leaving us without guidance for over a month.
Given this experience, I would advise against using Dove Air, especially if you're proceeding through an insurance company. If you have the option, consider requesting a different service provider. Direct dealings with them might yield better results, but in my case, Linda's rudeness and lack of assistance were significant deterrents. Both my property manager, who has over 30 years of experience in the desert area, and our HOA have deemed this behavior unacceptable.
In summary, Dove Air did not meet the expected standards of professionalism and customer service. I recommend seeking alternative HVAC service providers who prioritize clear communication and customer satisfaction.
After she explained I was the only one in her 30+ years in business has complained.
See below an example and I'm sure there's many others.

Similar to the countless reviews of the same experience, Dove Air was contracted through my home warranty company and the woman in the office is exceptionally rude, unhelpful and unprofessional.
I didn't have an issue with Gary the technician but I will not be giving this company another dollar of my business due to the shockingly rude interactions I had with the wife on the phone repeatedly. When a customer asks for a timeline on the work they're being paid to execute, the correct response is not "I don't know and you can call back when you're being nice" followed by a hang up. read more
