I would give a -10 stars if possible 6/2024 Absolute Airflow Solicited us for annual a/c check-up $69...the tech came in went into our attic system and the out door a/c box system...2 days later the system shut down...the tech came back out gave use a $32,000 bid for complete new HAVC system inside & outside units. I called an independent contractor he replaced the a/c unit $7500. In Feb 2025 when furnace would not turn on $7500 guy came out...in 2 minutes he discovered a wire or tube that had been previously bent by Absolute AirFlow. Buyer be ware of Annual tune up by this company. read more

Please get quotes from other companies. Prices they presented to me were outrageous. $1188 to replace a Pressure valve, mind you this is less than a $200 part. Almost 6k to replace 8ft of drain pipe. I literally bought a round-trip flight, rental car, drove to Lowe's, bought a PRV valve and changed it in 20 minutes for less than what they were charging. read more

Absolute airflow closed down the Indio location and as a result, screwing hundreds of their customers. I am one of those customers. The new units that I paid thousands of dollars for had a motherboard defect that absolute airflow refused to fix because they don't do business in the Coachella valley anymore and they didn't perform the first year service. A different A/C company came and view the receipt from the unit installation, contact the manufacturer and got a new mother sent on warranty and fix my unit. Victor Rancor refused to take my call and only refer to his general manager and some other manager who just flat out said I was out of luck. I found out from formers employees who told me that Absolute Airflow screwed every single customers from the Coachella valley the same way they screwed me. And the Manager Marcus that was helpful before, refused to answer my phone call as well. Beware of this fly by night company. Waste your money at your own risk. I receive a voicemail from Victor Rancor offering discount on annual maintenance. He is trying to come back to the Coachella Valley. Be very wary. read more

They were a total ripoff. They sent a plumber who they said would give me a quote when he arrived. They would not even suggest a rate. He arrived and quoted $575.00 to install a new kitchen sink faucet, less than a 1 hour job. I got a local referral who did the job for $180.00. They sent out a gas heater repairman to check out our 2 heaters for $39.00 after I balked at $99.00. Their repair guy said that the heaters could not be repaired and quoted about $15,000 to replace them. I called a local guy who came out to look at them for free. He will repair them next week for about $200.00. I will never use these guys, or Yelp, again. read more

So I set up a project on yelp. I wanted to get a ballpark idea of what it would cost to replace a toilet and sink. This company just asked for my phone number. So I gave it to them. They called. They refused to give me even an idea of price until they came out and looked. I explained give me a range. They told me there are so many variables they couldn't. They would have to come out for a free estimate. I get it. It's a toilet. But nope they can't give me a range. I consider this a waste of time without a ballpark. Waste of mine and theirs. No wonder plumbers cost so much! This is part of the problem. And to add insult to injury they didn't call once. I didn't answer the first time because I was on a call. They then assume they must ve more important than anything I am doing and call me again 2 minutes later. Since it is not their business that calls but one that says "GRECCOLOPEZFAB" I halt the conversation I am having, thinking it might be an emergency. To get a very nice young lady to check with 2 managers and still the only option was an appointment. It's replacing a toilet - why does it have to become rocket science. read more

Absolute Airflow seems to have just abandoned my open work order mid-job and stolen my fan motor Started out with my AC Blower Fan not starting. Technician came out Friday, said unit was out of warranty and claimed the blower fan was bad. Saturday, new technician comes over, disassembles the unit, takes the blower fan with him and claims he'll be right back with a replacement. I'm left with a disassembled AC with a missing blower motor. 2 days later, no follow-up: After 4 attempts to get a call back, I finally get a call, and am told, "...we are closing our Indio location." I checked up on the HVAC Mfg site today with my unit S/N - apparently I have 5 years left on the warranty This is completely unacceptable! My next call will be to report the theft of the blower motor to law enforcement. read more

Our furnace is in the attic so Absolute had to remove the old a coil and lift the new one up into the attic. In doing so they did quite a bit of damage around the opening to the attic. The technician apologized profusely and promised someone would be in contact and they would repair at their expense and it would look good as new. That was almost a month ago and no one has contacted us. This is leaving a very bad impression on this customer who purchased a new central air system from them. read more

Absolute Airflow bought Preferred Services. We called for services and discovered that they closed the office in 2021. We spent $30,000 on a new HVAC system, new ductwork and new insulation. Absolute Airflow will not honor the warranty or workmanship under Preferred Services. There was a mistake and Victor advised us that if we wanted the work corrected, we had to pay again. I am so disappointed. I have called other HVAC companies. No one honors the warranty. We are stuck starting all over with a new company. I am not a happy customer. read more

Our water heater was installed competently. However, our quote for $1,100 from Luisa ballooned to $1,300 once the job was completed. Also, the job failed city inspection due to a lack of flue cap. When we called and spoke to Jean, we were quoted $120 more for the flue cap install. Also, I could swear Luisa hung up the phone on me when we called to follow up after the flue cap was completed. Absolute airflow bought out preferred plumbing who we've used for years. Without notice, here we are with this new company out of LA area. We had a secondary unit go out and instead of repairing it the tech told us it was old and we'd have to spend 17 thousand dollars to replace a 1.5 ton unit along with our heat pump which is fine. YES, I said 17 thousand!!!! Save yourself some money and go elsewhere. The owner doesn't even check his records and called us for routine service when they had just been there the week prior. The professional service technician that came out was Jose Rodriguez Alvarez and he was on point, professional, polite and friendly. When he arrived I explained the issues I was having and he went to work right away. Mr. Alvarez explained what he was doing through the whole process, educated me on some products and also what services to consider in the future for preventive maintenance. Rick, Serena and Javier treated me like family. Working in the heat to provide me with a new AC system (just as summer was starting in June) that I love is the kind of dedication and professionalism you don't find everywhere. Also, I now no longer need to worry about future plumbing work because they do that, too. If you are looking for cheap, with crappy, half-assed service, look elsewhere. These guys laid new tarp on my floors to protect them from debris and wore booties over their shoes. It's the attention to detail like that which makes the difference between Preferred and every other company I have ever had set foot in my house. If you have and older air conditioner that is starting to reach end of life to the point where they no longer are going to allow the freon to be manufactured in California such as the case with mine, don't wait to replace it until they don't make the stuff anymore. Be proactive. They have rebate programs that can save you thousands of dollars if you act now or soon (June 2018). But if you wait until they don't make the stuff anymore, not only will you have an AC that won't cool your house, but you won't have an opportunity to save money like I did. read more

After a dubious experience with another plumbing company that I won't name, it was great to deal with Preferred. They answer the phone promptly and scheduled a water heater fix within a couple of days. Their tech Miguel was on time, friendly but professional, and did an excellent job of repair (after the other company suggested I just get a new water heater, though mine worked fine). Selling a property and having to deal with zealous inspectors and demanding buyers can be stressful, but companies like Preferred ease some of the pain. Highly recommended! read more

Gather around children, it's story time..... So, my Pitbull apparently loves the bubble wrapping & the new rubber they use at the back of the A/C unit they just recently installed at my home. Summertime is very busy for A/C Companies here in the desert. Our A/c was still working so I was moderately worried about the wiring that was exposed thanks to my dog! They came out the same day, fixed it, & made it look brand new. Thank you Preferred! But wait, there's more.... So, we put a wired fence around the A/C unit to stop the dogs from getting back behind the A/C unit! Well, the next day....guess what? Our beautiful Pitbull did it again! It was like Brittney Spears....oops I did it again! This time, the A/C shut off. Because of the damage, we called Preferred back & told them what happened. Again, they were out here the same day. They were running late & were professional enough to call & let us know - much appreciated! Obviously, they knew we were without A/C & it was 110 degrees. They fixed it again, wrapped it back up & were done in 10 minutes! Thanks Preferred! Their cost was way below what I thought they were going to charge me. I am a promoter/believer of Preferred. These guys are the ones to call if you need heat right now! Called to get our heater looked at and we were impressed. Clean, professional, and knowledgeable. They were able to diagnose our furnace and gave us actual options. Prices seemed competitive and after some thought we decided to go ahead with the repairs. They completed all the repairs in about 3 hours and I'm sure it would have been faster if they weren't battling the tiny spaces in our attic. Now we have the heat back up and I finally get air to my back office which I haven't used too much recently because of the temperature. Looking forward to the comfort that comes from great service. I had a main line sewer stop and freaked out a little lol I called these guys and they couldn't have handled it any better than they did. I had someone at my house in less than an hour, they explained to me how it all worked and what they needed to get done. Octavio no bueno. Watch out! In August, the air stops working, so we call preferred.They came out right away and told me it would be 800.00 for a new condenser. The unit was old 1987 so we decided to get all brand new. 15,000 later come to find out they did not replace or repair the ducts that they said were leaking. They had come out to service my filter which was stuck in the duct. The service tech comes out of the attic and gives me the same spill and pictures on his phone that they did a year ago. Kaze had immediately located the leaky pipe behind drywall, knew how to repair it, and got the job done done. Joe and Jo--- We had Broc from Preferred Services do an evaluation on a 19 year old HVAC combined system. This system had not been serviced by Preferred Services in the past. It appears it was sorely lacking in routine biannual maintenance for some time. Broc treated us with top shelf customer service. His through knowledge of HVAC Systems was wonderful!! He thoroughly covered every aspect of the old HVAC System i.e., sealed motor functions, electrical hook ups, how the different components provide heat to the condo, and how the AC components provide cooling to the condo. He shared ideas with us concerning air purification and filtration, both of which the condo does not currently possess. Broc pointed out items with the AC and Heating that no longer meet code in our area. He provided us options of repair and/or replacement. He did not push any new purchases upon us. He provided us with all the information we need to make our own decisions as to our course of action. Broc represents his Preferred Services Company so well that we are planning to sign on with an biannual maintenance agreement this year. Broc's expertise and personable service just made another satisfied set of customers with us. We would like to have Broc as our exclusive installation and service technician!!!! read more

We had a shower faucet break and wouldn't turn off. As a result, we had to shut off all water to the house. The plumber we called who was "covered" by our home warranty told us it wasn't fixable or covered by warranty. I called Preferred Services after finding them on Porch.com around 7:30pm and told them about our problem. The receptionist was extremely nice and told me she would send someone out between 9-10. Miguel ended up coming around 8:45 and had it fixed in 10 minutes. The entire thing cost less than what our home warranty plumber told us just a trip out to our house after hours would.
