After 20 years, our A/C lost all its Freon and burnt out the compressor. The manager, Robert came out with their technician Johan and said not serviceable, need a new unit. Robert provided a very fair quote on a new 3 ton unit from Goodall (made by Amana) with a 10 year guarantee. Said they could install the very next day. Installers, Luis and Salvador showed up at 8:30 the next morning. Very clean and neat, they took out the old unit, furnace and evaporator and installed all new with a much more efficient unit and had our system up and running the same afternoon. They missed several appointments and made an excuse for every one of them. The original problem never got solved. They indicated the owner would call us back to come up with a solution. I have been trying to get these people out for the last month to swap out a heating unit installed by a predecessor in interest. The manufacturer has offered to supply the replacement unit for free and I have offered to pay the labor (even though I should not have to). I keep getting assurances that the owner will call, but that does not happen. If the answer is no, then they just need to tell me that. This runaround I am getting is pointless. I am a long-time customer of Best in the West A/C and when they were acquired by All Valley A/C I continued my HVAC service with them. I could not be happier. I was recently, July 2024, out of state and my A/C failed. I contacted All Valley A/C, and they had someone (Mathew) at my home the same day which was a Saturday. Mathew was very professional and quickly determined the problem. A circuit board had failed, and it was immediately ordered, received, and installed. My A/C was back up and I was living once again in my cool home. I will continue using All Valley A/C for all my HVAC service and will always request Mathew as my Service Technician. I had used these folks two years ago and was satisfied. This time it almost cost me to not have followed the overall reviews. Upon entering our casita I noticed that the fan was on and continued running even after turning off both the heating and cooling systems. In fact the only way to shut it down was to turn off the circuit breaker. I called All Valley as they previously worked on the system that covers the rest of the house. They came out promptly and after accessing through the closet, the technician informed me I needed a new blower motor AND a new defrost circuit board. The total cost would be $2520 (I still have their estimate). As I did not have an immediate need for either cooling or heating I went to Yelp to find someone for a second opinion. Based on the number and quality of the reviews I called a company with a rating of 4.8 and over 400 reviews. I made the rather unorthodox request of simply asking their representative if the information from All Valley sounded reasonable. He was skeptical but assured me the price seemed too high and offered to send someone out to look at the issue. Thereafter two representative came to the house and examined the situation and informed me there was ABSOLUTELY no need for the circuit board and noted it is not even in proximity to the blower motor. Indeed it is actually not even in the attic!!! They took down the model number and two days later installed the blower motor. It works perfectly even as I write this! In the end I SAVED $1345. I have the proposal from All Valley and the invoice from the company that performed the repair to prove the resolution.. No need for the defrost circuit board. read more

My 2-year-old central air conditioner suddenly died about 1.5 weeks ago. It was 87 deg. F. inside my house with temps slowly increasing in the desert. I called the company I've been using year-round for the past six years where I pay a monthly membership fee to have deductions on service calls and parts. The earliest appointment available was one week later and there were no urgent services. They said a technician would call if they had a cancellation, but no one called over two days. I work full-time online from home at age 77, so my need was urgent. A friend recommended Best in the West A/C so I searched online and found out All Valley Air, a long-time reputable local family company, merged with them and made the call. All I can say is "Wow!" From the first call, a mentally sharp, efficient, and kind woman listened to my needs and immediately connected me by phone to a certified field technician, Carlos, who was on call for urgent needs. Carlos assured me he would be at my home within one or two hours. Carlos was on time, immediately inspected things, found the problem, a burned-out part, replaced it, and got the cool air flowing. What a relief! Carlos presented me with a bill that was much lower than I expected. Thank you, Carlos! You were just great and answered all my questions in the most professional and polite manner. And thank you All Valley Air for going above and beyond to help a new client you did not know from Adam's housecat! I was very pleased with the service I received from Carlos at All Valley Air. He walked me through the entire inspection process and made it easy for me to understand my A/C problem. I had the problem diagnosed by another A/C company in the area and they said that I needed a new coil....another said I needed a new A/C unit. My unit is only 5 years old. Carlos accurately diagnosed the problem, replaced a part, added some freon, and I was good to go. Carlos also offered me a maintenance plan where All Valley comes out twice a year and services my A/C for a total of $125.00 a year. I signed up for the plan. What I really appreciated was the integrity of Carlos. He could have run the bill up on me and I wouldn't have known any better. DEVIOUS.  When I am told that the parts are HARD TO GET bc the unit is old and that the wait to get them was going to be 4 to 6 weeks, justifying YOUR ATTEMPT TO sale ME an unneeded unit for $6800, when my repair tech drove down from long beach went to LOCAL parts store AND bought the parts and fixed it.  I was told that circuit board was bad and needed to be replaced, wrong, it was fine.  So yes devious.  I was going to let it go with my letter to you but now with your response I am going viral with it.  Next time try being honest. Air conditioner went first thing in the morning. Amanda picked up at 530am and was very helpful. She was able to give me an appointment for the hours between 12pm-2pm. She also said she would call me 30 minutes to let me know the the tech was on the way. She called me at 11:00 telling me that she can have the tech show up early. The technician, Carlos R., showed up at 11:15am! He explained everything that he was going to do from beginning to end. We decided to go solar and replace our HVAC system at same time, Sunlight Solar referred us to All Valley Air, it was great. Daniel was very informative and didn't try to push products on us that we didn't need. He showed us a unit from Amana that was perfect. Within a few days it was installed and we were nice and cool! We have an older ac unit unit in our guest quarters and Daniel said he would come back when it got could to replace the filters in both units and service the old one for free! I just thought it was a sales pitch as it was not in the contract and he was not going to honor it. But winter came, I sent an email asking when he would come and his crew was here a few days later doing what he promised! We were referred to All Valley Air by our real estate agent, John Barnett. They installed a 6 ton unit on our roof at our 1938 Spanish style home in Palm Springs. When I said I needed it "tomorrow", they rearranged their schedule and got it in. They were also super responsive and when I called back to ask if they would add a sound buffer under the unit.... a month later.... to make it a bit quieter.... they were so nice about it. This is a long overdue recommendation for All Valley Air, repairs made on 03/2018 and no issues since. About a year ago, we kept having problems with the A/C not running cold. I called several contractors to get some estimates and some ideas on why this problem keeps happening. Almost all the other contractors suggested unnecessary repairs and replacements (e.g. changing the ducts in the attic? Replacing freon lines??? One even tried to bundle monthly 'service' with the repair). Out of all the other contractors I called, Daniel gave the most genuine answer. Simply put, he pointed out the previous hvac contractor installed a new unit that uses a different refrigerant. They also tested if freon lines or ducts needed replacement and said no. Needless to say, the previous HVAC contractor was fired and replaced with All Valley. Thank you, the desert needs more honest contractors like All Valley. I hope I don't need to call another hvac contractor for repairs in the foreseeable future, but If I need to I will call All Valley. read more

Amanda, Daniel and Jaime were our contacts at All Valley when we installed our a/c in April 2007. Living year round in Palm Desert is impossible with great air conditioning. It's been over 7.5 years now and we could not have been happier with our service from All Valley. The original installation was perfect. We had a warranty issue a few years later and All Valley was right there to correct the issue at virtually no cost to us. A rodent ate through a line in the attic a few years back when we were gone during July. It was about 110 outside and 98 in the house when we returned. All Valley was out almost immediately on a Friday afternoon and literally saved us from staying in a motel. Our final big event was the last couple of weeks but at least it was in the "cooler" season of late October . We had a very difficult to locate leak in the attic exchanger. All Valley stayed on the task until everything was fixed and gave us an unbelievable deal. We actually added money on our own to the payment because they were so fair. Amanda, Daniel and Jamie have been with us for every a/c event. It's safe to say that we are "customers for life" for All Valley Air Conditioning as long as we own this house!
