Danette did a great job with my eyeliner. I wanted something thin and minimalistic. She has a steady hand and her work was very precise. Danette was patient with me fluttering my eyes and twitching. She is super friendly and seems to have lots of good experience in the field. I was happy when my eye doctor, while looking at my eye under a large lens, commented that my permanent eyeliner was some of the best she'd ever seen because it was so thin and close to the lash line. I must admit, the process hurt a lot more than I anticipated. (Disclaimer, I have had no prior tattoos and have a fairly low pain tolerance.) Danette does BEAUTIFUL work. Not only is she professional, but she is very critical and critiques her work to a T. I would rather have her staring at my face for 10 minutes worried about whether or not she liked her straight lines, than having someone do my eyeliner who didn't quite care. Not only that, but she is awesome at determining the shade of eyeliner to use on your face due to your skin color, we opted for the darkest pigment for me since I wanted something bold and since I'm on the darker side and I absolutely LOVE it. I got really tired of drawing in my eyebrows. I had a tropical vacation coming up and didn't want my eyebrows to disappear once I got in the water (you ladies know what I'm talking about) so I decided to do some research and came upon Danette's services. While she is not the cheapest out there, I also believe in you get what you pay for. With the extra, complimentary touch ups included in her service fee, I think it's well worth it. I was able to go back a couple of times and go a little darker than I originally thought I should go and fill in any little areas that didn't quite take on my face. While it's only been a few months, I am thoroughly happy that I finally bit the bullet. It is a tattoo, for those that have had tattoos in the past, so yeah...that, on your face. "It has been nearly a year since I got my upper and lower lid eye liner tattooed by Danette. The length of time between this great service and my testimonial is the same reason I paid for this wonderful service. I am much TOO BUSY all the time. I am constantly traveling for work, being filmed, lecturing, and putting on eye liner every day not only took a lot of time, but was a lot of hassle throughout the day. Before my permanent eye liner I would leave a good 10 minutes to put on and then, in case it was needed, correct, take off, then re-do my liner. Because I wear contact lenses grease from my makeup would require me to take out my lenses and clearn them or struggle with cloudy vision. Flakes of liner could fall into my eye and I could have a painful contact lens 'emergency' at any time, even in the middle of a lecture to 200 people. Having to leave a stage to take out a painful contact lens was embarrassing and unprofessional. Now I wake up in a hotel or at home, so much more ready to go. If I wake up late I don't have to worry about getting on my liner. I no longer run out of a consultation or lecture to adjust a lens, which used to happen about two times a week. Additionally, the lines above and below my eyes are just the right width, which is something I achieved only about 1/2 the time when I applied my own make-up. I love my permanent eye-liner! And I cannot thank Danette enough for her patience. I am extremely reactive to anything near my eyes and my blink reflex is so strong I was afraid she was going to give up on me. I selected Danette from her online suggestion that she was affiliated with the medical community. Not sure that is so. Felt her to be rough and it was a very painful experience. End result was less than complete even though I returned for touch up. Not many amenities in the office for comfort such a neck roll or comfortable bed or ice packs to help with swelling. Got my upper eyeliner tattoo done earlier today. Danette's office is part of a doctor office, Heath building, Swedish hospital.She is super sweet and patient. I'm always a big baby and I survive this so I'm sure everyone else can! She took time explaining every thing. The numb solution burned my eyes a lil' bit but Danette was so patient and kept working gently around my squeeze tight eyes. She drew the line with surgical marker first. The vibration feeling of the tattoo gun and the sound of it made me uncomfortable and started to whine :( but you will have to this no matter where you go.
