It has taken me nearly 4 years to share my absolute horror story with this place for many, many reasons - but the main one being the fact that it is so emotionally exhausting thinking about the trauma that I've dealt with because of Seattle3dbrows I really haven't wanted to talk about it. I am not the type of person to slander, drag, cancel- whatever you want to call it, someone...but this needs to be shared. I originally had microblading done in September 2016 in Canada at Studio Sashiko. I was happy with the results, but when it came time to get a touch up, I did not want to drive back to Canada. I ended up making an appointment to see Noi. I understand there microblading over another's work can pose some barriers, but trust me when I say - there was hardly anything left to microblade over. I thought I made it explicitly clear when I described what I wanted, which is something minimal. I am fair skinned, don't wear makeup, and want my brows to look a little bit fuller - not like I have a full face of makeup on. I'll let the photos speak for themselves- that is not what I ended up with. I saw Noi Oct 2017 for my first session with her, and had a touch up shortly after. I'm not naive when it comes to this process - I know there are many factors that can influence a person's results including aftercare, skin oiliness, etc. but I think it's safe to say regardless of any of those factors that could have been user error - my wants really were not honored. I wasn't happy with them, but I thought I could live with them, until I couldn't. This is where the nightmare begins. I went back to Seattle3dbrows for removal with Zara. I was reassured that this was an easy and non-invasive process, and there would be no scarring and no damage. That is not what happened. I saw her on August 31, 2018. Zara quite literally melted my face off with a glycolic acid. I'm not exaggerating when I say that I was whimpering in my car after leaving the studio. My face was on fire, and you could SEE how deep down my skin had melted off. I had messaged her the next day saying something was wrong, and she insisted this is "normal" and I just need to wipe the "lymph" off. That night my face swelled up so bad, and when I woke up my eyes were nearly swollen shut. For the next two weeks, my face turned green, oozed, eventually scabbed over, and by the time I was "healed" I had massive scars on my eyebrows and most of my hair was gone. This is my FACE we are talking about. My face was ruined by this place. I have spent tens of thousands of dollars trying to recover from this. An eyebrow transplant, multiple dermatologist appointments, chemical peels, lasers, dyeing, tinting - you name it, i've done it. My face will never be the same again. September 2020 I reached out to Noi to tell her what had happened, and she didn't even have the decency to respond to me. She had her lawyer email me basically telling me to piss off, because I signed a waiver and they take no responsibility. How can a person, a woman, a business owner sleep at night knowing something like this has occurred at her own business - and not even have the decency to RESPOND to an email asking for help? Countless professionals and friends have told me I need to sue Seattle3dbrows, but it's really not a route I've wanted to go, and I know Noi will reference the waiver I signed covers her and her business - but again this really goes back to human decency for me. I am already preparing myself for a snarky and unprofessional response from Noi since that seems to be her SOP when it comes to reviews that tarnish her brand. I also don't expect any recourse because I don't think Noi is a decent person. Seattle3dbrows has literally caused me life altering trauma and scars, and if I can save anyone from going through a fragment of what I have, opening up about this is worth it. read more

It's taken me a bit to write this review because I wanted to give myself time to fully heal and digest the experience. After watching many videos and reading as much as I could find about microblading, I went searching reviews for the best place in my area to get the procedure. I settled on Seattle 3D Brows because they not only had mostly 5-star reviews, but because they also function as a school. Zara did my first session in May 2021. I let her know that I wanted my brows to be a taupe blonde (my eyebrow hairs are a mix of dark and light blonde and almost not visible) and didn't want them to be too thick or have a "makeup look". I just wanted some color so they weren't invisible when I didn't have makeup on and I wanted to keep them light because I have very fair skin. After my first session healed, my eyebrows were a were a good color but the strokes were very patchy and they were a bit thicker than I wanted. At my follow-up Zara said she would go ONE shade darker so it would take a little better. This session seemed different than the first in that she used the gun most of the time. AFTER my session was complete, she told me that she did a "more expensive" treatment on me but that she wasn't going to charge me for it. There was no discussion with me before she decided to do this or explanation as to what she actually did. I left the second session with black eyebrows. My blonde/white brow hairs stood out over the dark pigment giving it a weird halo effect. I know from watching a ton of YouTube videos that they could be very dark during the healing process so I waited patiently hoping they would get lighter, but after several weeks of healing they remained black. I sent an email to Seattle 3D including pictures of my brows. The strokes were thick, patchy, and a dark harsh color. They indicated that I should contact Zara via Instagram to set up a removal appointment. Zara asked me to wait a couple more weeks to let them settle in and see if they'd lighten up. They didn't... When I went in for my removal appointment, Zara told me that the reason they were so dark was due to my oily skin (first time I was told this was an issue) and that some people's skin only retains the darkest part of the pigment. I asked her if it could have been the color she used or the "more expensive" process but was told that my skin was surely the cause of the problem. At that point I requested to have Noi look at them. Noi admitted they were too dark and offered do a removal at no charge. I've since had two free very painful removals which have lightened them a bit but not nearly enough as they are still way too dark for my complexion. I also need to wear tinted eyebrow gel to darken my eyebrow hairs so they don't stand out against the dark microblading. I will likely need to follow with some laser removal. I have a hard time believing my skin caused me to have black eyebrows since my first session resulted in the taupe color I wanted, and the second session was different process/color and now they are black. I'll give two stars because they gave me two free removals even though it didn't fix the problem. I am writing this review at midnight as my creative brain works best during these quiet witching hours. I've been having an interest ever since I learned about microblading, but was waiting around for acquaintances to be guinea pigs so I can see a real life testimony first since it will be smack on the face and I didn't want to permanently look like Angry Bird. I did research to see who I wanted to do business with decided to go with Seattle 3D Brows, but by the time I was ready to get mines done, covid happened and then everything just got pushed out further. Finally got them done!!! And I don't look like Angry Bird at all, the look I was going for was more natural with only strokes and no shading but still defined. MK was my technician and she was super sweet and helpful in educating me about taking care of my brows. The guy at the front desk is also hilarious. I'm just to the point in my life where if I can automate a lot of things to shave down time, I will pay for it. I'm the person paying 50 cents more for a smaller batch of sliced apples to save time and energy. Saving 10 minutes every single day not having to fill in my brows is about 60 hours a year that could be put to better use...like writing more reviews. Lol. Came back today for my complimentary touch up around 6 weeks from my upgrade brow appointment with Noi (July 2021). I am not a new customer to Seattle3dbrows. Back in 2018, I got my brows done by MK and she did a wonderful job microblading and shading my brows. Unfortunately due to my skin type, the pigment didn't hold up very well with my skin. When Noi assessed my skin, she made the decision to use a different technique than we originally planned. The fact that she took my skin into consideration, including the expected retention of pigment speaks volumes to me and shows how honest and good she is at creating artwork. I originally got my eyebrows done by Noi in 2017 before she had the studio downtown. I haven't ever even considered seeing someone else since. I waited over 6 months to get in with her and it was worth it. I had very little eyebrow hair and she made my brow dreams come true. When I arrived I was greeted by a lovely lady at the front desk, the shop is modern music was crackin is was young fun and a relaxed environment. I immediately felt comfortable. MK came and greeted me with a smile and some bomb brows. She made me feel so comfortable with the process. She mapped out beautiful brows for my face and began the process. Wish I was actually writing a really good review but here goes. Communication in the beginning was great, I had to reschedule because my son got sick and I had to take him to the doctors same day because I wanted to make sure he didn't catch that stupid virus and so I was charged $50 to reschedule from March to April which I paid, though I was told that I wouldn't have to pay the charge if he were positive for Covid and honestly there's no tests that they could've gave him because of the scarcity . Then I had to reschedule my April to May again because COVID-19 shut everything down. That last time I had to reschedule for a visit in May instead of April because of the stay home order, that's when I didn't get a prompt response. I get it! This whole Covid-19 fiasco is going on or something else probably came up etc. But does it give an excuse for me to wait five days for a late response. I'm really sad because I really wanted to get my eyebrows done at S3DB, I had been following their work which is absolutely amazing for two years :-/. When I didn't get a prompt response the 1st day I waited 3 days, I got apprehensive (nervous) and contacted the business again on the 4th day and no response, within a few hours on the 4th day after trying to get communication I then of course decided to call my bank. My Reason: I've been screwed over in the past were I've had my money taken on 1 incident where I made a deposit and they let me fall through the cracks and went out of business & I couldn't get my money back. I was trying to avoid that from happening again. I've even avoided posting this up but maybe this constructive critique will help them in the future idk. On the fifth day I finally got a response by that time my blood was boiling I'm frustrated and I had nothing nice to say so I let my bank handle whatever the heck they handle and turns out that I cannot get my money back because is nonrefundable, whatever! They told my bank that they would still do services for me. Honestly, I'm nervous to go and get my eyebrows done after already trying to get my money back because of no response. It Would definitely be awkward. So I did decide to contact S3DB yesterday and here we are the next day still no response. Though I wish I could get my money back I can't, and I don't feel comfortable going to the salon to get services done after having to dispute the charge. Honestly I'm pretty sure I won't get a response until next week but I guess that's how they do it (I'm pretty sure I'll get a "do your research response, idk and idc) As a business owner I get to my clients within 24 hours at the latest or if I can't get to them personally then My Assistant gets to them within 24 hours at the latest, even with this whole COVID-19 chaos. To me it's really important to be prompt to prevent losing clients or potential clients. Not like this post is going to really matter to the salon or whoever is reading this but I thought I would go ahead and vent. I know I can't get a refund so keep the money and I'm pretty sure someone needs it the most, I can always make it back, I just hate wasting my hard earned money that I earned while losing sleep from taking care combative mental health and Elderly patients, being away from my son days or a week to provide for my family and I. I just don't play with my money. In conclusion, I've decided to book with a different eyebrow salon and so far so good when it comes to communication. Though I am disappointed, I do know people make mistakes/or can't juggle clients in a timely order 24/7, but hopefully in the future you guys can get back to people a lot quicker than five days Preventing clients from getting nervous thinking that they slipped through the cracks and the deposit is gone. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this establishment and their amazing, talented team! I've been wanting to get my eyebrows done for many years but I always felt hesitant to do so. I did many months of research (techniques that work best on my skin type, if I was a suitable candidate, finding a solid artist, etc) and finally found Seattle 3D Brows. I booked an appointment (hybrid style) with the owner, Noi, seven months in advanced. Guys- there's a REASON why she's booked so far in advanced and it shows in her work!! She listened carefully to all of my needs and the outcome was far beyond my expectations. Initially, the service may seem a little pricey, but it's 100% worth it if you want to save some time getting ready in the morning and it can last for a very long time. Love my brows! I saw Noi for a super natural look with microblading. I've gotten compliments on my brows by the people who know I did them and other people just say I' m looking great. I feel like it opened up my eyes more, and makes me look a l more polished when I am not wearing make up, which I'm doing a lot these days since I have to wear a mask to work. Omg!!!!!!!! How freaking amazing is this place??? So informative and professional. Not to mention my artist MK did such a BANG UP JOB! seriously though, from the moment I walk in Jerry let me know all the details and was unbelievably knowledgeable about the entire process before, during and after.
