My husband and I visited the Southlake (TX) location and had an excellent breakfast on a Wednesday around 9 a.m. The decor was fresh and vibrant. Our server, Ethan, greeted us promptly and brought us water and coffee. The first cup wasn't quite hot but he remedied that immediately. The mugs were piping hot and really good coffee! I ordered a traditional breakfast of scrambled eggs which were delicious. The fruit side was the best fruit side I've ever had. He got fried chicken over a fluffy hot biscuit with a peppery cream gravy on top. Scrumptious! And his potatoes were good. The manager came by and checked on us even though his kitchen was cooking and packing up a take out order for 40 people! Amazing, and I hope you'll have as good an experience as we did. read more

My granddaughter had her 8th birthday two weeks ago and she picked Another Broken Egg for her brunch date with me. I let our waitress know that we were celebrating my granddaughter's birthday so she brought a half order beignets. The beignets were fabulous and my granddaughter enjoyed them so much that she ordered more. I ordered a seasonal item, corned beef and Brussels hash, and it was delicious. My granddaughter ordered a child's pancakes and bacon and she the pancakes were great and her bacon was cooked perfectly. Prior to that visit I've eaten here several times. I read the description and didn't believe it to have meat in it. When I got it I ate one crab cake and noticed the peppers in the sauce but nothing else. As I got to the second crab cake I noticed there was sausage in it! While the sauce said "andouille-infused" I had no idea that meant sausage. Yes, maybe I should just know? But I don't eat meat so if I don't see "sausage" or any other meat specifically stated in the description I wouldn't know. There are plenty of people who have never eaten meat and wouldn't know either. I let my server know and she brought the manager out. He received my feedback but I mean at that point what could he really do? Although I did not eat all my food we had paid for our bill already. PLEASE STATE SPECIFICALLY WHICH MEAT IS IN FOOD. People can get very sick. I have not eaten meat in YEARS and I hope I did not eat a piece of sausage because since it was in a sauce with peppers it was very hard to identify which the manager agreed! 3. The food was not as flavorful as I had hoped it to be. The beignets were good but aside from that I expected more flavor in everything else. PLEASE get more organized with bringing out people's food because I watched it happen multiple times even to us! We received something additional by accident. Recommended by my boyfriend we adventured into this establishment for a brunch date while looking for a new home. It's clean, new, well lit, friendly staff. My boyfriend liked his entree but I wasn't impressed taste wise with mine. When I envision a crab cake Benedict I imagine A crab cake perfect, round and golden, crispy and inviting my fork to break the crust. Mine looked like some lump crab meat had been scooped out of a can, badly fried on the bottom, not cooked on top and spread across my English muffin like a seafood paste that was topped with a poached egg. I was hoping for better service and a better experience from Another Broken Egg but it was 1 star all around. I placed an online order that specified a pick time, it was 25 minutes from the specified pick up time to the time the order was actually ready. I spent my lunch waiting for my order. When I asked the hostess about the order she was rude and said they were busy. No apologies, just that they were busy. When I finally got the food it was WRONG. My bourbon waffle did not have the Rum butter or whipped cream, I paid extra for cheese in my scrambled eggs and there was no cheese. I was given sugar free syrup without asking my preference. I called the restaurant at least 5 times with no answer to try to rectify the situation however there was no answer and I left a voice mail for management. I'm hoping that someone does something to make this right. read more
