We love ABE. We used the app for the first time today and walked up and waited just a few minutes (5?) and our table for 6 was ready. Kids like the pancakes, I love the Benedict and scrambles. Great service all around. read more

Tried Broken Egg for the first time. Was told to try the beignets. They were the best thing! So yummy. Loved the marmalade! I had potatoes with cheese and bacon. All of my favorites! This was very good. We had to wait of course, but it was worth it. The service was a little slow but they were very busy. Very satisfactory. read more

There is usually a long wait for a reason! The food is excellent (especially the beignets) and the wait staff is always welcoming. I recommend the biscuits & gravy and the single origin coffee! read more

Placed my online wait list about an hour before arriving, mind you it was a Sunday, after arriving had to wait another hour because it started raining and they had to close the outside seating but that was out of their control. When we were finally seated, i ordered a blueberry mimosa which was amazing but pricey for the glass they put it in. My party and i all got different plates and let me tell you.... EVERY SINGLE DISH WAS DELICIOUS. It made the extra hour wait worth it. Would definitely come back!! read more

Decided to stop by and eat breakfast here. This was my first visit to this venue and I must say it was an excellent choice. Had traditional breakfast and it was perfectly cooked. Will go back whenever I have the opportunity. Service was excellent. read more

A smaller local chain serving up great coffee, good service and some unique breakfast items. Can in with my family and some friends for brunch. Definitely worth the wait. We will be back. read more

The place and food had the potential to be great and live up to it's posted overall 4 star review, but unfortunately it seemed as though our waiter, who appeared to be unhappy, stood in the way of that. There was a group of four of us who got together for brunch for a friend's birthday. We showed up and met our friends. The waiter came over, didn't state his name, and took mine and my husbands drink order (my friends had already ordered and received their iced coffee) and ordered our food. We also ordered a pitcher of mimosas. The food took about 40minutes to come out, and we still had not received our pitcher. We asked the food runner who brought our food out to check on it since our waiter was nowhere to be found. Our waiter then showed up with our pitcher claiming "the bar is backed up because there is only one bartender". Meanwhile, our pitcher (with no glasses) was sweating from sitting out too long....our food was also subpar. I ordered the French toast with eggs and bacon. Everything was cold and the bacon was burnt to a crisp. My friend got the salmon Benedict which was also cold. Clearly or food was sitting before it made its way out. We decided to eat what we could as we did not want to wait another 40 minutes with a waiter who was not appearing to care too much about our table. To note, the whole time we were there sitting outside (approximately 1 1/2-2 hours), no water was offered or brought. On a positive note, my friend received free beignet biscuits from a birthday email which were warm and delicious! Side note, it was a Saturday at about noon, and it was packed, but both the service and food were subpar. I've heard good things about this restaurant, but I would not recommend it. read more

Wonderful atmosphere and food. It's the cutest little spot. The food is wonderful here. Usually busy call ahead for wait time.

This place is very inviting and cozy! By the way, the food is awesome and our server was just as awesome! I had the scrambler with spinach and I loved it! The food is just really good! Trust me!! read more

We arrived with a party of 6 on a Sunday morning at 9:35 and was told we had a 30 min wait. We asked how much longer at 10:15 and was told there was 3 parties ahead of us. We asked again how much longer at 10:45 and was told there are now 6 parties ahead of us. They bump parties that arrive and put their name on the list for parties that reserve on the yelp app. Not sure how this makes since?? We left in anger and will never return. read more

This place was fabulous. Ate here while out of town on mini vacation. It was a mid Saturday morning and we walked right in to a table with no wait time. The staff was excellent. When we said that we had never eaten here before the waitress was very helpful with suggestions. I choose the Floridian omelette with the sauteed crab and my husband choose the Stan's Mardi Gras with crawfish. Both was beyond yummy but the Mardi Gras was the best. We will definitely be back to try something new next time we're in town. read more

We ate at the bar , skipping a 45 minute wait at 10:00 AM. The bartender/waitresses were friendly funny and attentive. The menu has so many great and original choices. We had the Mardis Gras omelet with seafood, chorizo and a great sauce, and Huevos Rancheros, and both were excellent. They have a rotating seasonal menu also. The people around us were all eating great stuff too, we missed out on the beignets. read more

This restaurant was awesome! Threw my best friend bridal shower here! Melody is amazing! Definitely come again!

Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day. I didn't leave with a memorable part of my meal. Food was salty. Pancakes tasted a little like dough, I actually started pulling it apart to make sure it was cooked throughout. Plastic plates...I am paying for a meal and experience. I did like that they have adult beverages and service wasn't bad. I'm a huge fan of First Watch and will drive further to enjoy a great tasty breakfast. read more

Terrific breakfast/lunch spot! Very gracious service and clean, fresh environment. We were a large party during breakfast on a Saturday morning. Although we had to wait since it was a busy graduation weekend in town, it was worth it! Some of the dishes our group enjoyed included the Bananas Foster French Toast, the Supreme Omelette, the Bequezo Omelette (had a bit of a spicy kick), and the Sausage Gravy with Biscuits. All were presented fresh and hot and were tasty. We also sampled the beignets; they are good but are beignet biscuits - not exactly like New Orleans-style beignets, but pretty good. I wish there were more locations of this establishment. Our server, Ashley, was top notch! Very efficient and accommodating! read more

I was so excited to try this place. The food was okay, but I don't think it lives up to the hype. It was just typical breakfast food. I think Metro Diner is MUCH better with more affordable prices. This place was expensive. It was almost $40 for just 2 people. read more

This review is specifically for brunch. Another Broken Egg gets major points for their food and for their use of the No Wait app. We still had to wait, but being able to get in line digitally saved a ton of time. The food here is excellent - really tasty, and a fairly expansive menu. However, the service was really slow, and brunch drinks were absurdly priced. It's $9 for a mimosa when you can get a glass of just champagne for $6. A pitcher of mimosas is close to $30, and it's so small that you'd be lucky to get three out of it, not to mention that there was hardly any champagne in it. The Bloody Mary was weak as well. read more

The wait was surprising but worth it!! This place has excellent breakfast and great drinks!! Highly recommended when in Jacksonville, Fl.

So I've been here twice. The first time I had the Salmon Power Bowl and it was super mediocre. Everything was very dry and bland. No flavor. The second time I was there I ordered the Lobster and Brie omelette. This tasted good for two bites but it was so rich and over seasoned that it quickly became inedible. I don't know what it is about this place but I will most likely return simply because their menu LOOKS good and has creative options. So far they haven't delivered a product that I thoroughly enjoyed but I have a feeling they will. If and when that happens maybe I'll edit this review. Maybe. read more

I really enjoyed this restaurant. The food was great and the staff was super friendly. I wish there was a location near the Oakleaf area.

We brought a large group of 14 with 9 kids in after a soccer game on a Saturday morning. The hostess, Gabby, was so kind and patient with our group. She got us a table where we could all sit together and we didn't have to wait long. Maureen, or Mo, was our server and she was the BEST! She kept everything organized even with our kids moving chairs every few minutes. The service was fast and the food was delicious. I know large groups can be frustrating, but we were shown so much hospitality by your staff. We will be back! read more

My first breakfast in Jacksonville since arriving last night. Restaurant being dog friendly is a big plus. I love scrambles and they had plenty to choose from. I should have specified soft scramble as the eggs were a little on the dry side... firmer than I'm use to. Otherwise, service was good and food was tasty, good flavor. read more

This place is amazing! A little pricey but so worth it! We had the cinnamon French toast and chicken & waffles. Also my vanilla latte was wonderful! Service was great! read more

I have been to the original broken egg and many others in Florida. This location wasn't my favorite, but it was still quite tasty. I had the Floridian omelet which is my another broken egg go to! The reason this was not my favorite broken egg was because the service was just okay. Not attentive. Now since this is the first time I have been to this location it could be just an off day for the staff, but I really love another broken egg so you better believe I will be back now that we have one so close by!! I recommend you give this place a try! :) read more

The good, the bad and the ugly - the reservation thru Yelp works well. But very overpriced- additional charges for everything. Its was the first time that were able to get a table yet we live less than a mile away. A waffle ($10)with 2 eggs ($2) and some weird sausage patty ($2) - $14. Ordered the house Bloody Mary pitcher ($34) and we couldn't drink it all, something wasn't right. In summary, food OK but resort or Manhattan, NYC like prices - very overpriced for breakfast. read more

We have been to Another Broken Egg Cafe four times, and we were pretty happy with our dining experience every trip. We've tried a number of items including sweet appetizers like cinnamon roll and beignets to traditional breakfast plates to waffle sliders and specialty brunch items like Southern Crabstack. We also really enjoyed some of the side items like their Mediterranean potatoes and city grits. Overall, everything was pretty good, the atmosphere is warm and staff is friendly. This is now one of our go-to breakfast / brunch place that is in our weekend rotation. read more

I thoroughly enjoyed my experience here. We went here for lunch and it was my time. The waitress knew the menu well, offered suggestions and was honest w her feedback. She was very attentive and energetic. We started w the grits appetizer and wow. My friend hates and I mean hates grits but she couldn't get enough of these grits. Savory and rich in flavor w bacon, tomatoes, cheese, etc. I ordered the crab cake holendaise meal. It came w poached egg, bell peppers on an enlist muffin. I was pleasantly surprised w the amount of crab in the crab cakes. I upgraded my potatoes to the Mediterranean style. That comes w oil, feta, fried onion tangles. If the potatoes wouldn't have been a little over cooked they would have been delicious. My friend got the loaded potatoes and there are tons of options to put in them (great meat choices) she really enjoyed her dish. Decent parking, bar inside and patio, will definitely be back. read more

Kenia was THE SWEETEST AND BEST SERVER I EVER HAD!!! The food was super-fresh and tasted IMPECCABLE!! The wait was an hour long but, we were advised to use the App that allowed us to keep track of our place in line! #WorthTheWait read more

Service was quick and professional. The waitress was friendly and knowledgeable of brunch menu items. The ambiance was average but the quality food made up for it. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. Job well done read more

Great location. I had the popeyes eye omelet and it came with fresh fruit and an english muffin. It looked like it sat there for awhile before the waitress came out with it but it was still very tasty. The vanilla latte was also very good. I give three stars because I really felt that the service was not so great. She was very busy and barely came by our table. They were out of the granola, total bummer. It also was slam packed and my chair kept getting bumped into while waiters, bussers and new customers came in. Definitely not a place for a business meeting (this is what I was here for), I found it very distracting. But the food was good and I would give it another shot. read more

First time at another broken egg was delicious the server Ashley helped point me and my friends in the right direction we started off with their house Bloody Marys and I was in love with the kick! She than insisted we tried the beignets which I've never heard of before and they were delicious! For the entree I had the shrimp and grits, you won't be disappointed especially if you like spice! Can't wait to come back definitely a 5 star experience! read more

The place for brunch! Extremely busy. The wait isn't that bad. The food was delicious. The service was good.

Blackberries and Grits...Screeeech..stop...reverse! I had to try this. I had no idea of what kind of taste would come from this combination. I ordered take take out en route. Once I arrived I was greeted by a very friendly hostess. My food was ready within 3-5 minutes of my arrival, well within the 15-20 min time given when I placed my order. (At lunchtime on southside blvd, this makes the difference between a good restaurant and a great restaurant! ) Now for the good stuff...I did order a side of the Blackberries and grits...Oh yeah Slow cooked grits topped by hot plump juicy blackberries..and the juice. If you love grits and blackberries, try this dish you will not have regrets, other than wishing for another bowl. Mmmmhmmm. Next I had the appetizer plate Fried green tomatoes with a cran cake on a bed of spinach topped with a drizzle of sauce, diced peppers and crumbled goat cheese. I did enjoy this dish. Next time I will request an extra serving of the sauce on the side. Yes, there will be a few more next times! read more

This is me and my family favorite spot to come to for breakfast on the weekend. We always have either Alex or Sarah as our waitress because they help make the breakfast experience enjoyable. They even remember our order so when we come in they ask if we want the same order for breakfast. It's a great spot for breakfast, you won't regret it. read more

Great breakfast joint near our work. Fast, friendly and yummy! Thank you for providing great breakfast here in Jax!

I used to love this place and their food, but lately (over the last year or so) EVERY time we go here they are always out of stuff they KNOW is a big seller and the servers have been terrible. Constantly messing up orders, unfriendly, rude, and that's when they are actually engaged and come around. Most of the time you have to ask someone else to get your server. I limit how often I even attempt to eat here now because it's a 50 minute drive and the experience is so inconstant. read more

Waited over an hour and a half for a table while there were multiple tables empty. Once we were seated the service was good. Quality of food was average for brunch. They definitely wed a new way to organize their wait list to seat waiting customers. read more
