The service is terrible. I went on a Thursday morning and was sat by a kitchen worker and then I sat at my table for 25 minutes with not a single person even acknowledging me. So we got up and left. It's pretty sad that they could provide good service on a slow day. I would definitely be weary on a busy day. read more

Great food, cute place and wonderful service. The Popeyes omelette had lots of meat, cheese and spinach. Pancakes were excellent.

2 hrs to eat. Was quoted 30-45 min wait but took 1 and 15 min to sit and another 45 min to get served. Belgian waffle was 8 dollars and smaller than an eggo, and not Belgian. Sausage was only adequate. Eggs tasted a day old. If the server was not pregnant, I would not have tipped. read more

Great meals both times we have gone. I LOVE their gluten free pancakes!!! I had them in their special blueberry lemon goat cheese pancakes. We have tried cinnamon roll, city grits and the blast BLT. All very good!!! This place is busy for a reason!!! Great food. read more

Perfect place for any occasion. Our server, Ashley, was helpful and so welcoming. She suggested some of her favorite menu items which were excellent recommendations. Definitely looking forward to going back for the awesome food and service! read more

My husband and I decided to try this new franchise this morning and were quite happy we did! On our server's recommendation, I had the pancakes (light and fluffy, as she described them) and he got the steel cut oatmeal, which comes with berries and honey--he loved it! We'll definitely return! The lunch menu looked interesting as well. read more

I'm a huge fan of breakfast, so I was excited to try this place out. We had a mimosa at the bar, then got seated after about 20 min. I started with the fried green tomatoes... Best ever. Then I got the French toast. Even better. Our server (Shaylee?) was great, our drinks were always full, and the atmosphere was really nice. Even the manager (Nick) dropped by to make sure everything was great. No complaints here! If only I could eat here every day :) Trust me, it's well worth the wait!! read more

Amazing food and our server Amanda was the best! Went above and beyond to serve us not only great food but amazing service. She made it so fun!! Can't wait to go back! read more

The only good thing about this restaurant was the waitress! The food was terrible and way over priced for what we got!! You could tell that everything had been frozen and nothing except maybe the eggs was prepared fresh. read more

Terrible service. Took 1:15 to sit despite being quoted 45 min. Took another 45 min before we got served. Terrible food. Belgian waffle was neither Belgian nor was it good. On top of that it was smaller than an eggo. Sausage was adequate. Eggs were crap. Seriously way over priced for the value. read more

Excellent service and food. This is my wife's favorite place to eat on Sunday after church. It is well managed as we were asked by the GM walking around named Phil if we were pleased with the service and food. It is a breath of fresh air to see management walking the floor showing they care about their customers. Our waitress was polite and gave us great service as well. The food has always been served hot and after we are seated and order placed, the meal is served in a timely manner. A good indicator of good food and service is repeat business and we see friends of ours every time we eat there. Kudos to the management and staff for giving us a pleasant dining experience. read more

Good food here. Healthier options available in addition to traditional breakfast favorites. We've been several times and the service has always been great. Very clean environment and fresh ingredients. Great place to take family and friends visiting Jacksonville! read more

I was in the Jacksonville, Florida area on September 4, 2016, visiting two very dear friends and one of them took me to this wonderful place. We had a waitress with a beautiful spirit named Katie and she just made the experience better, after the very long wait. My friend and I ate outside and it had just rained but we still thoroughly enjoyed our brunch. You must taste the city grits they really are the bomb. They really are because I do not eat cheese but you would not have known that the way I ate the city grits! You must experience it for yourself and if you go to the one in Jacksonville tell Katie Gonda said Peace and Love!! read more

I came in at 830 am and sat myself at the empty breakfast bar. A few minutes later a gentleman came in and sat down a few stools down. It took about 10 minutes for someone to acknowledge us (which was the manager after I asked him if someone would finally help us). Finally the woman came around to helping me and I ordered Huevos Rancheros. It comes with an egg over medium. I hate runny white stuff. When I got it, it was runny. I asked her how it's supposed to come, and she answered no runny white stuff (not those exact words). She asked if I wanted everything remade and I answered no just a new egg. So she 2 seconds later brought me 2 eggs that were obviously cooked the same and tried to push them on me. Then asked if I wanted them back on the grill, yes obviously. So I waited about 5 minutes and it never came back out so I had to eat the rest of my food cold without the egg. As I finish eating she tells me the egg will be right out. By this time I'm really irritated and have had an empty glass for at least 5 minutes. She was sweet and cute, but her service felt severely lacking and I still paid over 12 dollars for that dish. I usually recommend this place to people and enjoy treating myself there sometimes, and I see absolutely no reason to come back with that customer service. Not worth the money. Period. My family and I came to eat brunch here around 1 pm. All I have to say is that the service was NOT what I'm used to when I come here and I must admit that I LOVE ABE. Our server was extremely forgetful, he took literally over 10 minutes to get our drinks, our food took forever to come out and when it did, we were either missing items or had the wrong items and most of our food was cold. My husband ordered the Huevos Rancheros with an over easy egg (the entire plate was cold and the egg was over hard), I ordered the Cinnamon Roll French Toast (which was ok, it was pretty dry and only had like 2-3 berries on it) and my 3 kids all ordered the Chocolate Chip Pancakes (their pancakes were cold, they did have enough chocolate chips on them and whipped cream, but we never got the chocolate syrup that is advertised to come with it) We were never asked if we needed refills, instead we had to wait for our waiter to eventually come back around (as we sat outside) and my lemons that I requested while ordering my drink never arrived. There was another table next to us whom were seated after us and surprisingly the waiter seemed to have checked up on them more often (there was only 2 people sitting at the table as opposed to our 2 adults and 3 kids at ours). I'm not sure if he might have felt overwhelmed or if he was a new kid, but I hope my next experience at ABE is way better than this last one. New Update coming pretty soon ... like I said, we love this place but this last visit threw us in for a loop read more

My second visit to this latest establishment in Tapestry Park was just as pleasant as the first. Our hostess, Carrie, seated us with a smile. The food was terrific; we sampled the buttermilk pancakes and they were everything hoped for. Light, delicious and a real treat, cooked just right. I had to sample the City Grits once again, simply great. My friend had the sausage patty cooked with sage and went bananas over it. We had the opportunity to chat with the manager Nick Waugh who gave us some more menu items to look forward to in the future. Our server Elizabeth was gracious and as nice as could be. On this visit we sat near the spacious patio and enjoyed the comfortable atmosphere complimenting the contemporary, yet rustic decor. This location is a real jewel in the ABE franchise. read more

We stopped in for breakfast and it was packed! Luckily we didn't wait long and the service was pretty fast. Coffee was great and I really enjoyed the Waffle sliders. read more

Great food & service, give yourself plenty of time the wait can be long at times but so worth it!!

Good idea that was poorly conducted. Bacon was burned and sausage tasteless. Our waiter also failed to bring us silverware and was very unattentive. The manager walked around and spoke with every table except us. read more

This is my favorite place for breakfast. It is so good. Service and hospitality are always top notch. The Black Bean Benedict is awesome and so is the Mardi Gras Omelette. The General Manager always makes sure you are completely satisfied. Very refreshing. Always have had a great meal. Great place to recommend to anyone. read more

Wait person nice. Coffee great. Food not worth price. I'm not talking quantity, I'm talking quality. Also, poached eggs (yolk soft- white cooked) meant hard boiled to them. French toast meal over- rated. Used plain Hawaiian bread so description sounded great - not. Hostess lacked good judgement. Took phone calls (2) while I was standing there waiting to give our name. I would not wait in line for this place. Sorry. read more

Great food & customer service! The hostess, Jami is amazingly patient and professional despite the large crowd and long waits on weekends.

amazing food, great service... totally worth the short wait to be seated. don't miss the city grits... holy cow!

I tried to go there for lunch with my son. We got seated at 1pm. The server came and took our drink orders; hot chocolate and French vanilla latte. She came out with the hot chocolate maybe 10 to 15 minutes later and asked me again what I wanted to drink because she forgot. Why didn't she ask me 10 minutes ago when she put in the order for the hot chocolate? By then I was ready to place my orders. Pancakes and scrambled eggs for my son from the kids menu and sweet potato pancake and fresh berries for me. Fast forward 30 minutes later, I saw that the table behind me got their food first. They probably sat down 20 minutes after us. Then the table besides us got their food and they just got there. This was maybe at 1:45. Just as I asked them when they placed their orders (thinking maybe they called ahead) my server comes out saying my order will be a couple more minutes. Please keep in mind what I ordered. Nothing off the grill. Nothing that should take more than 10 minutes. Server started to make the excuse the sweet potato takes longer because it's one big pancake. By then I was livid and asked to speak with the manager. Even the manager took awhile to come out. So then I went to the front desk. Manager came out and said they had a printer issue but the ticket did print. The restaurant was not busy at all. So for the server to not even check on my order was beyond me. I sat around with no food from 1pm to 2pm. The manager offered the free food but by then they already left a bad taste in my mouth. I've been there a couple times so I know it does not take that long to make sweet potato pancake. Just a complete bad experience overall. It was the wrong day to have something wrong with the printer because they pissed a pregnant woman off lol. read more

I am not a breakfast person but my husband is. He decided to try this place. We only get to go orders. The first time my order was wrong but the food was amazing. This has got to be the first time that I have tried many things off the menu. Everything I get is delicious. The bacon is my favorite its crispy just how I like it but not burnt. The cinnamon roll French toast you can cut it with a plastic fork it is so soft and delicious. I also had the biscuit and gravy...WOW!! it was amazing. I don't think I can say anything bad about the food here. Everything is fresh and delicious. The only thing I wish they were better on is not forgetting items for the to go orders. Today I had the cinnamon French toast but had no syrup in my bag luckily I have syrup at home. Another time they forgot my guac and salsa for my southwest omelet but my fiancé went back and got it and they gave us a card for a free meal which I thought was very nice. Overall great food but have never been inside the place. read more
