Mediocre food... We are not really impressed with the food at all...My husband ordered the huevos rancheros, and it was bland. I ordered the crab cakes with fried tomatoes, I got 2 crab cakes and the rest are fried green tomatoes, the spinach salad on top of it, wasn't even fresh at all... However, the server (Kenia D.) made sure that she took care of us, and even gave us complimentary beignets. read more

We have been to other Another Broken Egg Cafés in the Pan Handle. Unfortunately, this one is not suitable for people driving through town. We were heading back home, and decided to try here since we have enjoyed other places. We knew there is usually a long wait, but we decided to give it a try anyways. There was a line out the door when we got there, and we figured the wait time was for the people there. We weren't briefed this also included the ones that haven't even showed up yet. So when we see tables that have not been seated for 5-10 minutes, we didn't know what was going on. That's when one of the hostesses explained to us the app. Seeing we have two young children with us, it might have been nice to place us a little higher. I guess if there is a next time, we'll have to use the "fast pass" way, instead of waiting the entire time at the restaurant. read more

Odd but cool name for a cafe. Great food and good customer service. I definitely recommend this place and will most definitely come back here. read more

Party of 2, waited for 2 hrs to be seated after being told it would only be 45 mins. Finally got food & our order was wrong but didnt dare say anything because we were starving. Bloody marys were okay. Probably wont be going back do to the poor service & rude hostess with the bun pigtails. Alan the manager was very nice. Had really high hopes for the place, sucks that from start to finish it was a poor experience. read more

Wish this place had longer open hours because the food is so good. The bananas foster waffle is a guilty pleasure and the longer and Brie omelette is definitely worth trying! Definitely put yourself on the waitlist ahead of time! read more

The wait time is ridiculous and the staff is very unorganized. We waited over an hour and the food is just "ok". Honest, this place is just a hipster trend. Not worth the time. read more

Love this place!!! My husband and I tried it one day and fell in love with it! The food is great and the service was wonderful. The servers were amazing. I'll definitely be back!! read more

This is my favorite Sunday brunch spot . I love the omelet and pancakes at Broken Egg they are delicious. I don't think I've had anything there that I didn't really like the Florida omelet is amazing. read more

I LOVE Another Broken Egg. I don't live near one, so I purposely seek one out whenever I'm traveling. Definitely a go-to for breakfast.

First time eating there. Great food. Loved it. Got there early. Lot of food. Enjoyed omelette that I had.

This place is very cute and nice and it is one of my favorite breakfast places. I really enjoyed everything I ordered including the coffee and freshly squeezed orange juice! I had veggie delight omelette and it was amazing! read more

Excellent service on a weekend morning by Dylan! Awesome food and nice breakfast spot vibe. Love the fully staffed bar. Nice Pepper Mary! We've already been back a few times! Would definitely recommend! Suggest using the No Wait app as this had become a very popular spot. Kudos to the staff & management. read more

Lengthy wait time even with online waitlist ahead of arrival. Food was fantastic though! Bananas foster pancakes and some type of Eggs Benedict with pulled pork off of their special menu which was phenomenal. Came out a little slow but super hot and worth the wait! read more

Do not go to this restaurant! The servers are argumentative and the managers aren't much better. Had an issue with my food and the server as well as the manager chose to argue with me telling me I was wrong about how the meal should have been prepared vs. trying to resolve the situation by preparing the meal as I had come accustomed to in the past. This place will not get another dime of mine. Nothing but trashy, classless people working here. read more

I don't get it. Less IS NOT more, especially when it comes to flavor at a restaurant. I know of the trendy "minimalist approach" (that is not supposed to include flavor) I ordered what would probably be considered a very average breakfast. Eggs, bacon, two different "breakfast potatoes" pancakes. It wasn't even average. Nothing was good. Eggs were small, over cooked on low heat. One style of potatoes had this overwhelming burn flavor/aroma. The other tasted like frozen potatoes obrien. Pancakes were so dry I had to drown them in syrup to make them able to swallow without choking. They sucked all the moisture from my palate. I'm not kidding- this place is Awful. (((((AVOID)))))(((((AVOID))))) I did not see the point in engaging our waitress in a discussion about the food. The fact is- she was completely unenthusiastic from the start. So what do you say- " hey, all the food I just ordered ($38.00) worth was terrible" Like she'd care. It's another example of a local hype place. If you are at one of the hotels visiting from out of town-Your Money is better spent at Golden Corral 30 seconds away, cheaper, and better tasting. read more

My husband and I usually go here every wknd to get brunch. Yesterday we did the No Wait app like usual and that was about 45 mins. We arrived and checked in and waited an additional 30 mins. We keep seeing the hostesses seat a party of two at the large booths by the bar that could've accommodated our party of five. (Mind you when we checked in, there were no more parties ahead of us in line). I checked in once then twice and each time I received snarky remarks, as if they were going out of their way not to help instead to help. Then the "manager" came up and spoke to the female black hostess as I stepped away. They began to talk about me. I turned around and said that is very unprofessional and I'd like to speak to your manager. The black male wearing the chefs jacket that was part of the unprofessionalism states " I'm the manager". I stated there always another here... . He said well he's in back of the house today. ( thinking you have to be kidding me... then go get him) so then I asked can you please go get him ? You better believe as soon as that other manager came out the two hostesses were gone . The hostesses: one white with blonde hair and up in two buns, other black female with UNF jacket and hair short. The black female and black " manager" were the ones talking about me as soon as I stepped away. read more

I had such a wonderful experience at Another Broken egg! First off, the food and service were fantastic! The server Randyl was very attentive and made helpful suggestions. But more importantly, I forgot my purse and they were kind enough to mail it to me since I was just passing through and lived out of state. My husband called and spoke with the Manager, Phil. Phil was amazing and got it in the mail by the end of the day. After my husband spoke with Phil he saw that Randyl our server, reached out to him on Facebook the day we were there to let us know about my purse. If I am ever in Jacksonville again this will be my first stop! Not only to thank them in person, but to also try the rest of the menu. read more

Fried Green Tomatoes oh my.............. This place is great, if there was one in my area I would go every day!!!!!

My friend and I went to ABE for breakfast today at around 8 am. It was not busy at all. We each ordered city grits, toast and coffee at 815. Another 30 minutes went by without any check for more coffee or explanation of why it was taking so long. Finally, after asking another waitress to check on our food, the kitchen door swung open and through it I could see our waitress scooping grits from a black bin into a little bowl. Presumably, our breakfast. About 5 more minutes went by a voila, two bowls of grits arrive at our table. I almost took a bite out of the grits when I saw something suspect atop the bowl. Still unsure what it was but we stopped in our tracks to take a closer look. Neither one of us knew what this "item" was. I called the waitress over and showed her and she then told us it was an onion (trust me... It was not food of any kind). I then asked to speak with the manager. 5 minutes later, a manager shows up (dressed as a cook) and again explained the situation. He didn't have an answer as to why it took so long and seemed dazed and confused. He also proceeded to inspect whatever it was that was in our food and then just lingered at our table waiting for us to say something. I finally told him we don't want the food any longer and wanted our check. To my surprise he still charged us for our beverages. My friend and I left and went to Starbucks to get breakfast. Sadly, this was not the first time I've had an issue with this restaurant. It has gone downhill quickly in the last 4-5 months. It saddens me that this is happening as it's the only breakfast restaurant nearby. I kept going back even though the service has been atrocious hoping it would change... It has not (and in fact keeps getting worse). RIP ABE. read more

The worst service I have ever had at a cafe. We arrived at 1015 and was told there was an hour wait. We got a text message at 1030 confirming our wait in line, and downloaded the suggested app to monitor our wait time. After 30 minutes our spot no longer appeared in the app so we went to the desk to see what the problem was. The man in front said the app sometimes drops people but we had 20 more minutes. At 1140 we still had zero notifications about our wait. We approached the counter where he lost our name. Jamie was also working the front and was so incredibly rude to us. She talked slower asking us if we were SURE we didn't have a call. They were about to seat another group and we asked for their table. She apologized to them and asked if they would let us sit first (even though we have been waiting far longer) and never once apologized for our wait. Our waitress Sara was awesome and when she forgot a mimosa she brought one on the house, but our food took 40 minutes. People who sat down after us had their food arrive first. Our orders were wrong when they arrived. When we asked to speak to the manager Phil he said thank you for bringing the issues to his attention but never apologized or offered compensation. I will never ever go to this cafe again. read more

I had the bella-wrap and a drink at Another Broken Egg this afternoon for lunch. I was on my 1 hour lunch break, and it is very close to my office. The wait time to be served was pretty unacceptable, it took me over an hour to eat there and I ordered right away. The cost with tax and tip was $14.50, and my sandwich was very small. Not worth it at all. If the food was more reasonably priced I would probably try it again, but I won't be back at those prices. To compare, my friend ordered the lobster & shrimp rolls, her portion was huge and it cost the same as my vegetable sandwich (which was way smaller). Totally out of context. read more

Really good food, big big plates, lretty good service! be aware that on a sat morning u may wait an hour to get in but its very good!

Great place for brunch! The food is amazing and so are the mimosas! The only down side is that it is a very small space and always has a wait for breakfast. Also, it can be pricey for brunch if you are drinking mimosas. You can get bottom mimosas at other restaurants in the area for a better deal. read more

I've seen this place driving by and read the good reviews, stopped by to check it out. Got there around 10:45 am, and it was somewhat, but not overly, so we put in our name and they said 20 minute wait. It was only about 10 minutes and they called our name. So just before 11 am we sat at an outside table which was fine...we ordered our food within a few minutes and the while having our coffee it started to rain. They moved us to another table outside that was covered and the heaters were nice. We waited and waited...drank our coffee and waited some more. About noon we just decided that an hour wait for food was just too long. We had no updates from the waitress as to how much longer it might be....and I had someplace to be at noon, so we just couldn't keep waiting. I had no idea that it would take an hour to get food! It wasn't that crowded! I don't understand what the problem was. Anyway, sorry to our waitress Mel, but we had to leave. We left money for our drinks and a tip. So I suppose if you want to eat there, set aside at least a couple hours to do so. I'm sure the food is good....I wouldn't know since I didn't get a chance to try it. read more

Amazing service great food super friendly staff. I would eat here everyday if I could.

We were a party of six - believe me if the waitress took out a piece of paper to write our order I would not think less of her. Why is this becoming the norm not writing down orders and bringing people the wrong item or remembering to eliminating something. This really drives me crazy and I'm starting to think its out of laziness. My decaf coffee was requested 3 times before it was delivered. I ordered the Smoked Salmon Benny Toasted bagel, whipped cream cheese, smoked salmon, two poached eggs, garnished with diced red onions, capers & green onions - the bagel was not toasted it was soft and getting soggy. The salmon was sparse even the onions were sparse. Everyone was ok with their breakfast. But when the checks came - they were all WRONG - why because nothing was written down. My meal ended up costing me with tip $24.00 ridiculous for an ok breakfast with just a coffee. Again, this is just an ok place. Will not be rushing back. read more

Arrived at around 12:45 p.m. Hostess stated to me, "We are not taking anymore customers!" I said, "WHAT???" WHEN did you change your hours??? She said we didn't. Our manager stated we have too long of a waitlist??? I said, "Really???" I drove all across town to dine here and you're going to turn me away???" At that moment the manager approached the hostess and stated she could accept me and another party. We were told approximately 1/2 hour to 45 minute wait. We were the LAST customers served ONE HOUR and 15 minutes later!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I never knew there was call ahead seating, or I would have done that the minute we walked in!!! I would have left, but the longer I stood there, I didn't want to waste time trying to find another place. Order arrived and when I took a sip of my coffee...something hard came into my mouth. I pulled it out and took a pic. Manager served our food, bacon was not done when I specifically requested my bacon to be cooked longer, my granddaughters meal was not correct, we were not given silverware, the whipped cream on the pancakes (ordered the trio)-was melted and running off. Dominique and Kenia are PERFECT SERVERS!!! They're the main reason we continue to come back. They make a great atmosphere!!! My server NEVER came back to refill my coffee, so I had to wave down Kenia and she took PERFECT care of me!!! In the beginning the food was great...it is mediocre at best now. I can barely get anyone to go with me anymore. I can't blame them!!! This visit was last Sunday the 25th of June 2017!!! read more

I am in town for business and didn't wanted to eat at the hotel. Did a quick Yelp! Search and found this place. After a short 3 minutes driving I was there and had a hard time to find a parking spot. To me that is the first sign of a great eatery. Then I parked my car, there were around 25-30 people waiting outside. Walked in, they said if I can wait for couple of minutes I can find a seat at the bar. Just like they said a couple left and I sat to bar. I ordered traditional breakfast with scrambled eggs and bacon and a cafe au lait. The coffee was very tasty, liked it a lot. After few minutes my breakfast plate came and everything on it was looking perfect. Bacon was a little more saltier than I like mine but that's ok, they also serve it with potatoes, I usually eat few pieces of potatoes but this was so good amd I ate it all. Definitely will come back to try their pancakes too and again their coffee is to die for. read more

This is the second time I've been here... I love the the atmosphere and the bloody Mary's. That's why they received a two star. The food is just really not good and so over priced it's amazing. $12.99 for Eggs Benedict?? I ordered simple three pancakes this morning and somehow they came out over cooked on the outside and undercooked on the inside I never new this was possible. The seasoned potatoes aren't seasoned and come straight from a bag. The sad part was the manager never even came over to the table to apologize for the bad pancakes after they took them off the bill. I can see this place shutting down within the next 18 months. read more

Food was okay. Not the worst, not the best. It was just "okay." I had gotten a scrambler and asked for a side of something. Waitress didn't bring my side, but also didn't change me for it. I also couldn't bring it to her attention because that was the last time I saw her.. Until I went to pay. She showed up quickly and delivered my debit card back with the first smile I saw from her. I wouldn't blame it on being overworked because her section appeared to have three empty tables. The next section over was busier but had a more attentive waitress. All in all, food was okay and service appears to be hit or miss. read more

Great place for brunch. Many unique options on the menu. The food and service was excellent. The manager even walked us out to our car with his umbrella because we forgot ours. I highly recommend this place. read more

Went for my birthday Pancake and to eat breakfast with my boo. Mistake, the pancake was gummy, cooked on the outside and raw on the inside. Everything else we ate was too salty. Eggs over well became burnt. We had to leave and go to another restaurant to have breakfast. The manager at Another Broken Egg had to comp our meal. At their prices breakfast should be excellent but it's not. read more

i especially like lemon blueberry goat cheese pancakes. when i'm in this cafe i always order them.

I was very excited to spend my birthday here today, only to be quite let down from what it was hyped up to be. Our server, which I cannot recall his name, seemed to stand in the way of what could have been a great birthday and experience for us to come back again. We arrived and ordered cold brews, which took awhile but we were waiting on friends. We finished, and were never given waters or asked for refills. We decided to order a mimosa pitcher (to celebrate my birthday of course!) we ordered this right after we placed our food order. Come to see, about 30 minutes later, without the server coming back or checking on us (mind you we all had completely empty glasses and sat outside) our food arrived, which was a huge downfall in itself. Our food runner was very kind, she placed our food down and realized none of us had drinks and we were all quite disappointed in the fact that we have been sitting there for almost 45 minutes now and could not even begin the celebration, we were quite parched and waiting for those mimosas! She quickly ran to the bar and brought out the pitcher after looking up our tables orders on her own, then she was disappointed in our sever, she saw we had no glasses either! She quickly grabbed those as well, and she did all of this is under 2 minutes, our server seemed frazzled because he knew he had forgotten about our mimosas, our food, and probably our entire table all together. Mind you, although our food runner was so kind, our mimosa pitcher was soaking wet sweating because it had clearly been sitting at the bar for a half an hour, and our food was mostly all cold. My friend ordered the French toast, eggs and bacon, all of which was cold, I'm talking ice cold and the bacon was burnt and cold, quite a skill lol but I was extremely disappointed. I got quite an expensive dish, the salmon Benedict, which unfortunately my eggs were over cooked (not runny), bagel wasn't toasted, and my salmon was warm but my eggs were cold, along with my potatoes being cold as well. We decided at this point we had such a terrible experience it wasn't worth wasting another 30-45 minutes sending food back when clearly our waiter was not too caring about it anyways. We decided to just eat what we could, then just leave since we already spent the majority of my birthday brunch disappointed. We did however get the Beignet Biscuits that I received in a birthday email. These were excellent! And they were served hot, our first hot thing on the table, besides our mimosas being room temperature as well, probably more warm than our meals. But I will say this place could have great potential, they are either understaffed or have not trained or selected the right staff to provide even sub par service, especially for a birthday party you would hope they would go out of their way to make sure it's a great experience, which they should do no matter what, as a server, I would not have allowed today to go as it did, could have at least taken something off of the bill, perhaps the warm mimosa pitcher. Hopefully you all have a better experience, but as Jacksonville frequent visitors, along with my friend living there, we will not be returning. read more

Stopped in to break away from the standard hotel breakfasts and it turned out to be a great choice. I was promptly served, food came out quick and hot. I had the buttermilk pancakes and eggs. Coffee was actually quite good as well. Not your standard warehouse brand. They even offered me a to-go cup. Found out as I left they just opened three days prior. So even in a time when they're working out the bugs they won me over. read more

Good food, SLOW and lacking service. Items were left off our order, we had to ask for refills on coffee (more than once for a single refill) . We have been to other Another Broken Egg before and always had a great experience, sadly this visit was not one of those. Our waiter did not seem to really even care, which is unfortunate for such a good spot for breakfast. And it was not that busy inside (some empty tables inside and outside, so his lack of responsiveness had nothing to do with how busy it was) read more
