We sadly ate breakfast here today and it was the worst breakfast we've had. The inside of the place is beautiful, the service was good but the food was beyond terrible. We ordered two of the traditional breakfasts and couldn't believe how something so simple could be so bad. The potatoes were cold and tasteless, the bacon was greasy, the scrambled eggs were just bland, the over medium eggs were left basically raw, and the English muffin was nothing special. The whole plate wasn't even warm temperature wise. For $30, I would rather have spent this money at a fast food breakfast place. Super disappointing. read more

When my daughter asks to come for her birthday breakfast, that's just bonus points. A creative and satisfying menu of breakfast staples and unique creations that taste just as good as they look. In no particular order: The Sunrise Spinach Scramble is my jam. I like the way they don't overload the toppings and provide balance to the dish. My kids talk about the waffles every time we drive past. The sweet bacon was a hit. I like the cornhole outside the front. Be sure to join the waitlist online. That's been a huge time saver. If you're bringing along kids or impatient adults, we like to do laps around the building or play cornhole in the front while we wait for our table. To the folks complaining about the prices: This isn't Denny's (not that there's anything wrong with Denny's). You're hard pressed to find any breakfast restaurants that are cheaper without sacrificing for ingredient quality or flavor. Shout out to our friend Jesse, who works in the kitchen. Pretty standard Breakfast place. Ordered ABEC on DoorDash while we had family in town. My mom got the Eggs Benedict which she wasn't a huge fan of but I thought it wasn't too bad. Pretty typical of a Benedict dish but the Hollandaise was a bit more sour than usual. My Chicken & Waffles were once again, pretty good. Maybe a bit on the dry side, but they were fine. I would rate 4 stars if it wasn't so expensive. I've driven by this place a zillion times and never noticed it's existence. I was lucky to walk in on a Saturday morning and find an open spot at the bar. This is a casual dining spot with an outdoor patio seating area. Great energy and menu. I loved the beverage menu with pitcher options. The drinks are pricey in comparison to their competition and quality. I ordered the hash brown eggs Benedict with potatoes on the side. There was a grits option, as well. The hollandaise sauce was exceptional I tasted a light trace of rosemary and it took the sauce over the top. The service was good, sitting at the bar was a plus. The drinks are definitely overpriced for what you get; a lot of spicy tomato juice. I might dine here again, but not for the drinks. read more

I came in the other day and was lucky enough to have Tatum as my server, seriously one of the best experiences I've had in a long time. She was super friendly, attentive without hovering, and made sure everything came out perfectly. You can tell she genuinely cares about her guests and actually enjoys what she does. She checked in just the right amount, remembered our drink orders without writing them down, and even gave great menu recommendations (which were spot on). This morning was my first visit at Another Broken Egg... the day after my wife had gone for the first time and talked up the shrimp Benny like it was the best thing she's ever eaten. I browsed the menu online and ultimately decided to order the same thing. The first bite of shrimp and sauces was amazing, but then I cut into the rock hard focaccia bread and was so sadly disappointed. The focaccia seemed like it was leftover from the previous day or microwaved or something. It was hard and ruined the entire shrimp Benny for me. Thankfully, I had a side of lemon blueberry and goat cheese pancakes to cleanse the palate. Those were delicious. Let me start off by saying our server Ramelle was so amazing! She was super awesome with whatever we needed and super kind. The restaurant has great parking and even has corn hole outside if you have a long wait. The restaurant is a little bit on the smaller side but is very cute and detailed. We ordered an Irish iced coffee that was a little watery, so exchanged it for a hot coffee instead. The hot coffee was good and the mugs are super cute. You can buy them for 24.99 but that was really high for us to purchase a mug. There were only about 3 tables in the restaurant and our food took almost an hour, which seemed like a while since it was slow. The food items are on the pricer side in my opinion. The lowest item they have is 13.95$. Honestly the quality of the food was not the greatest especially for the high price. The chilaquiles came out super cold and our server made it right and made a new order, when they were hot they tasted like "fancy" chilaquiles. My family enjoyed them. The traditional breakfast was really overcooked. The chicken patties were a little burnt and the toast was pretty burnt as well. The eggs were very fluffy & tasty though! I was so grateful they allowed me to order a kids meal due to only being able to eat 4oz due to medical, so it was nice they accommodated. The kids breakfast was simple but that is what I wanted. My only feedback I guess would be fresher fruit. The fruit was very mushy which would be great for little kid who can't chew properly. We arrived at 10:45 am and were told it was about a 10 minute wait. We had to wait 20 minutes to get seated. There were at least two empty tables that just sat there unfilled while we were waiting. There seemed to be enough wait staff so I don't know why they didn't fill the seats. Once we were seated, we had to wait 10 minutes for a waitress, and when she came, we ordered immediately. We then had to wait almost 25 minutes for our food. I asked for refills of coffee three times before somebody actually brought it. When she went to pour it, the top must have come loose and most of the coffee hit the floor right next to us. Some of the splatter hit my daughter's purse on the floor and her pant legs. The waitress did not apologize, but said she will get a rag. She took my daughter's purse & put it on the table next to ours and then wiped the floor off & walked away. I used my napkin to dry off my daughter's purse. When they finally delivered the food there was no toast. I was told it wasn't ready yet. When it came, it was the smallest piece of bread I have ever seen. Most breakfast restaurants give you two slices, but this was one small piece cut in half. My wife had the gluten free pancakes. They were terrible. She made me taste them & both the pancakes and the syrup were bad. Needless to say, this was a bad experience and we will never return. read more

We had the biscuits and gravy and buttermilk pancakes. The sausage was unlike any I've had before, very tender, crumbly and delicious! I don't know how to describe the flavor, but it was different and scrumptious. The biscuit was fluffy and large and the gravy was tasty. The pancakes were tall, fluffy and golden. One star added for our sweet server otherwise would be none. I wanted to try this restaurant for my husband who misses grits. As a vegetarian who is not able to eat eggs I generally go to more vegetarian welcoming places with more vegetables or even vegan options but figured I'd make something work. There was a cool looking meat and egg croissant sandwich that I ordered and modified to be more health friendly and the chef refused to add anything like tomato lettuce and avocado so I would have just had asparagus on a croissant. This level of service is not something on par with what I expect in a highly competitive Phoenix market and is more on par with the hostility I have seen in more rural areas in terms of openness to dietary needs and preference. I pay my vegetarian tax readily at most establishments (paying more for avocado even when I hold the meat) and would have done so here without complaint. We left without breakfast. read more

When we first came a couple of years ago we were delighted to find it, and all of the very different and delicious offerings. While not cheap, it had not gone to outrages until the visit yesterday. The Apple Fitter French toast no longer exists. Instead we have 3 round layers of maybe fritter batter, I'm not sure, which are pretty bland and layers between them fried apples that are ok, but that's it. This is not the original which was an apple fritter covered with French toast batter and fried. The batter doesn't pick up the apple tastes and thus the whole thing is just blah. And the price is now out of sight. Hubby had the Hash Brown Benedict that was awful served with 'country' potatoes that had absolutely no taste. This would have been a 5 star review. The food was excellent, the service was just as good. The hostess however, not empathetic or aware of her surroundings at all. Two days post a very volatile election she had no problem treating the Trump supporters way differently than the "other side". She even went as far as to loudly say, "Did you know they are even forming support groups to deal with this". There was more said but I just had to walk out. How about being aware of your surroundings and showing some empathy. It's a volatile time in our country, and we WONT be back to this establishment. Sad. read more

First time trying out this place and it reminds me of my time living in Florida with their seafood take on some of their brunch options. I definitely want to come back and try one of them but I wasn't feeling too adventurous and went with a go-to staple of mine: Traditional Eggs Benedict and a Bloody Mary. Everything was phenomenal - I ate every bite and I normally never do that! Except for the potato's. Nothing grand about them but they weren't bad either. The restroom was very clean and even smelled nice. Though, I will say it is not ADA friendly. I sat at the bar - the bartender was attentive and kept busy! The cheese was hard and not fully melted. I'm assuming it was left out so the cheese got hard or it was just microwaved. There wasn't that much flavor so I had to dump a bunch of hot sauce on it. The service was excellent though so I'll definitely give this place a try again and get a benedict next time. First one in the door at 7:00 a.m. The coffee was hot and the menu had a distinctive Southern vibe with various sides and dishes including cray fish, grits and sausage. The goat cheese spinach omelette caught my eye. Goat cheese with anything has my vote. The omelette was served with an english muffin and side of potatoes. Very tasty indeed. Ok... we loved this place! One of the better breakfast/brunch spots that has a ton of seafood options! In from MN and my sister lives here and she hadn't been here yet either! My sister and I grew up on southern style food and grits. Their grits were perfectly cooked! (Few other places around had them runny... nope!). Get the cheesy grits and add a little salt and pepper... amazing!! Foods: Started with the beignets and the only regret was not getting double for the size of our group! I've never had in New Orleans but it's on my bucket list. I was craving savory and seafood. I was debating between the lobster & Brie omelette or the Shrimp Benny. I'm glad I went with the Shrimp Benny. It was the perfect balance of savory and comfort. This is crave worthy!! I got to try the lobster & Brie omelette and it was super rich... I don't think I could have eaten the whole thing. It would be better on a Benedict to have the English muffin cut some of the richness. Our table got a few other things like the cinnamon roll french toast, crab cake Benedict and another more classic Benedict (not sure which one). Everyone tried the cinnamon roll French toast and said it was chewy but had good flavor. The friend that ordered was craving a good cinnamon roll and that didn't satisfy when she didn't realize it came as French toast. (We tried to tell her). Fun staff and Great service! The shrimp and grits were as well as, the coffee . I liked that they send a text when you're up, rather than, having you wait standing around inside or outside. We sat in our car until our time was up and once they send the text that you're up, you're up for seating immediately. Loved that!!! We are always excited to find a new breakfast place. When we came here, the buzz of a new joint was obvious and the wait times reflected that on a Sunday morning. We opted to sit on the patio so we could be seated early. Unfortunately that meant that our server completely forgot about us. We sat there for a good 15 minutes before being helped. Our drink orders took about 10 minutes to be delivered to the table. I never did get offered a coffee refill until we were done eating the full meal. Anyhow, we gave it the benefit of the doubt since it's brand new and usually places take a while to get the flow working smoothly. Their menu options looked really unique and we were excited to try some new things. This place has an extensive offering of alcoholic beverages for brunch. It's not our thing, but might appeal to others who like that for a brunch outing. We tried the biscuit beignets which were the bomb. Definitely rich and sweet. A great dish to share with someone. The cinnamon roll french toast was a little to sweet for me, but I should have expected that given the dish. It was good regardless. My husband had the lobster omelette which had a generous portion of lobster and it was delish! We also liked all the various options for Egg Benedicts and my son loved his. They forgot my eggs with my meal and when they brought them to me, they were cooked a different style than I ordered. By that point, we were done eating but they did try to bring me the right eggs on the 2nd try. Again, just another service issue that needs to be worked out for the place. They were very apologetic and did their best to accommodate us and comped an item for the mistake. Overall, I bet they will improve on the service as they're open a little longer. We enjoyed the unique items on the menu that are different than most other places. The prices are a little hefty for brunch but the menu is designed for fancy brunch items so it's to be expected. Look, it's bad enough I usually must wait for a table on the weekend, but now more of you will be convinced that a short wait is well worth the amazing food, great service and refreshing drinks! However, I will take a shortcut and get on the waitlist ahead of time. So, if you must... The location is ideal with plenty of parking around a large strip mall setting. Fortunately, the restaurant itself is out of the way of parking-spot-hogging businesses. Great ambiance, open, bright, and welcoming. There is also a bar with seating either indoors or via the patio. My wife is a coffee drinker and is disappointed in the "simple" offerings. But a good Cup O' Joe is better than none. Juices and soft drinks are available, but as an iced tea drinker I must protest. The regular tea is just that. Blah. The raspberry option is, as I understand it, just syrup added. Too sweet and fake tasting. A nice green tea or mango tea would be refreshing in the morning. More on drinks later. The menu is extensive with something for everyone. You may also request a kid's and/or a gluten-free menu. This place really aims to please! The food is delicious!! The home-made sausage patties are absolutely amazing! You won't be disappointed! My usual is the Crab Cake Benedict. With a healthy serving of crab meat, and your choice of potatoes or grits (get the grits!! though why they don't bring you butter with the grits is beyond me). Chicken and waffles provide you with a generous portion of both. Well worth it! Strawberry Pound Cake should be best left for dessert and a smaller serving. Too much heavy and dense cake to eat at one serving (so maybe share). The Smoked Salmon Benedict is another favorite for our table as well as the Traditional Day Starter. The potatoes are done exactly right. Lightly crispy, tasty, and hot. However, the show-stealers are the Biscuit Beignets. Out of this world!! You will be glad you ordered them! Usually, a manager will stop by your table to greet or check in on you. When Andrew is there, he does make it a point to touch each table, but he also continuously hustles and is always helping the staff. This is a well-run business! A negative that must be addressed: For a place that serves mimosas by the glass and pitcher, please train the staff on how to pour champagne!!! NEVER straight down!! Please! Always at a 45-degree angle and pour against the side of the glass or pitcher. This minimizes the foaming and bubble loss. Properly poured champagne should not have a head or foamy top. Most champagne, and sparkling wine bottles, have a divot at the bottom of the bottle for your thumb, thereby allowing you to balance the bottle as you pour. The bubbles keep your drink extra refreshing and blend well with the juice, so it doesn't get flat right away. A welcome alternative is the Bloody Mary. Not only a work of art with bacon and toppings, but Insta worthy and just so good! So, I highly recommend you visit often. You too will be hooked! Enjoy! read more
