Four of us were yearning for a good Sunday brunch in the cozy small town of Fairhope, Alabama, and what we discovered in our hope was far, far more than fair. The brunch menu is superb -- I had really good eggs Benedict and my wife had "bananas foster" waffles. The service was excellent; even the manager on duty dropped by to assure we were satisfied. This is a franchise chain of restaurants that truly has its act together. They clearly expend much effort on training servers and have devised a menu that lures the customer. The restaurant is located in a high-ceiling New Orleans style building filled with a lot of happy people, possibly, at least in part, due to their great Bloody Mary's. If Yelp went to a decimal-based scoring system, I would score this delightful restaurant at a 4.8. read more

This restaurant has a really nice location. The service was good and the food was good too. I ordered the egg white avocado omelet which could have had more flavor. My husband had a veggie omelet which he liked very much. The beneits were very yummy, we loved the orange marmalade. read more

Got seated immediately and then waited for 45 minutes for meal to arrive. Not enough staff to take care of customers. Had several girls who were "off" who were also helping behind the bar at various times. Our waitress was waiting tables in bar area and tending bar customers as well. read more

Broken egg patty sausage was the worst I sent it back they replaced it with good bacon the gluten frendly pancakes were underdone,it took forever to get the replacement pancakes mean while we paid our check and gave her a tip I ate my pancakes and on the way out she accused us of not paying our bill. I don't know how I haven't done a review, we eat here a lot. My #1 tip is to download the Nowait app and it will put you in line for a table before you get there. The restaurant is beautiful, love all the doors. I usually get a cafe mocha, comes topped with lots of whipped cream. My favorite dish is the tuile, it's a big thin wafer bowl thing that they fill with chobani yogurt, fruit, and honey, so good! We split that for an appetizer. I usually get one of the seasonal offerings, usually pretty good. The only dish I haven't liked was the lobster roll. Good kids menu, one likes the scrambled egg with English muffin and the other likes pancakes. Service has always been great. read more

My husband and I stumbled upon Another Broken Egg Cafe in Fairhope about a month ago and we have been back every Sunday since then. I get a vanilla iced coffee and he gets a mug of fresh brewed hot coffee- both are better than any chain coffee shop! Our entree of choice is the shrimp and grits. I'm sure that other dishes are great too but we are creatures of habit and order the same thing every time. read more

Very disappointed with the menu changes. How can you call yourself a brunch place and not have steak and eggs anymore??!! Have eaten at 3 different ones of these and this was by far the best. The food tasted great. Staff was very friendly and helpful. My wife ordered a Bloody Mary to try and liked it but thought it was to spicy and they took it off he check with out us even mentioning. read more

Disappointing. We both ordered the traditional breakfast: eggs, potatoes and English muffin. There were only 4 other diners, three of whom already had their food. Service was slow, eggs and potatoes served barely warm, muffins untoasted. Grits were the only good and hot food until we found a piece of plastic in the mix - let waitress know but she appeared not to care or advise mgmt. as I asked her to do. And too expensive. New, clean, with a view of the surrounding street through the windows. Good service. Biscuit beignets are addictive and the honey glaze drinkable! The chef was a little heavy-handed with the fresh herbs and a little more veggies than eggs in the omelettes, but the flavor was good and portions generous. Would go again for sure. read more

Over an hour and a half wait for Sunday brunch. The food was good, not outstanding, but not enough to compensate for the nearly hour long wait for a table; incidentally the table was prepped and ready for more than ten minutes before we were seated. The summer peach cobbler pancakes were superb! The peaches were fresh and the toppings created a delightful flavor. The Floridian omelette was ok. The atmosphere was wonderful in the lovely Fairhope area. read more

Well, I was super exited about eating breakfast here the other morning. I've been to few other ones along the coast. The building is really well done and the service was nice and everyone friendly. That being said, my breakfast was a disappointment. I ordered two scrambled, biscuits and gravy with a side of sausage. I swear my eggs were powered or mixed with something other than egg. My eggs wouldn't even stay on the fork because of the consistency. Typical cafeteria style eggs. The gravy was not good at all, again cafeteria gravy. And finally, the sausage, it tasted like Italian sausage, def not breakfast sausage. Coffee was no good either. I did however love the coffee cup, so I bought two. Oh yeah and the potatoes, they arrived fresh off the sisco truck. I didn't experience any of these problems in Pensacola broken egg. This place is better than Julwin's though, not by much. I'll give it a couple more try's though. read more
