We love Another Broken Egg. Our family's favorite place for breakfast/brunch. The option for gluten free pancakes is a necessity with our daughter who has celiac disease! The menu has such a large variety of both sweet and savory entrees. We have yet to try anything we disliked. (But my husband has never veered off course from the Biscuits & Gravy w/ bacon and eggs.) Worth the long wait! This restaurant is a franchise that I think is mostly located in the south. I was surprised to find one in Dayton and immediately knew I wanted to go there because I had been to one in Florida before. The food is amazing! In fact I had a really hard time deciding what to order. What we ended up having was the pound cake with strawberry French toast, which comes with a side of eggs and meat choice (we had the baked bacon). We also ordered the Floridian Omelette which is an omelette stuffed with cream cheese and real crab and topped with cheese and green onion. The experience and service were awesome. The only thing I didn't care for were the breakfast potatoes, so I ended up ordering a side of City grits as a replacement. The city grits are grits with Gouda cheese and were to die for! If you find yourself in the Beavercreek area at breakfast or brunch, definitely check this place out! read more

Waited twenty minutes to be served, nobody came. Another server greeted three tables around us, looked at us each time. There was no wait to be seated and tables around us started getting their food before we were greeted. I presume we were seated at a table outside someone's section, but if you keep greeting tables around someone and make eye contact you should probably ask them, or at least the host if anyone is picking up the table. We walked across the parking lot to CBCB and we have drinks and our food is in in the time it took me to write this, it's a shame some of the food looked good on the menu, but I can't write a review based on food no server would come and take my order for. read more

My Dad and I come here often and the food is always AMAZING. Some of our favorite servers, to name a few, are Will, Tammy, Ian, and Dallas. Also, the gentleman that is usually at the host stand is always pleasant. Poor guy looked like he was limping today but, still kept a smile on his face. Keep up the good work!! read more

Love this place. The omelets are excellent. The grits are good. I will say the service is a little slow but I wasn't in a hurry anyway. The bar area is nice and has 4-5 TVs. I am going to come back soon to try the brunch menu. It looked awesome. read more

Our wait was minimal thanks to yelp allowing us to place ourselves on the waitlist. It was nice to walk in, let the host know we were there and almost immediately get seated. The waitress was awesome and the food was tasty. The only reason why I am not giving a 5 star rating is because they don't have an espresso machine. In Florida, I was able to order a latte or cappuccino with my breakfast, but this location only has regular coffee. Hopefully, they get a machine soon. read more

As a regular I've grown to become very disappointed in the service. Last week I waited over 50 minutes for my food. I come every Sunday after Church with my Sister. The Staff knows us very well. While we absolutely love the food and staff, we can tell some changes have taken place. These changes have affected delivery times. I listened to another table yell at one of my favorite waitresses. This place is a good solid 4 stars - (Review is written on experience with them handling a group of 30). We had brunch here a few days ago from 0900 - 1100. For a group of 30, all our food came quite fast! Everyone was pleased with their meals and the portion sizes were generally large. Prices are around the same you'd pay at First Watch, but I'd choose this place for breakfast due to the variety. Our servers that were taking care of our group were excellent: very friendly and constantly checking on us to see if we needed anything. No negatives here - I'd recommend this place as a great place to get breakfast, and/or a good place to have a group get-together. (They don't have their own closed-off room, but there's a decent amount of space in the back that will hold 35-40 people comfortably. read more

Menu is overwhelming, but the Huevos Rancheros dish with chorizo was great (and recommended by Dallas). It's a cute little place with friendly staff but I was not super impressed with the food. We were able to be seated right away during a weekday brunch, which was nice. We ordered the house coffee, crab cake benedict, smoked salmon benedict, and a chocolate stuffed Belgian waffle. The waffle was sweet & tasty but both of the benedicts were just mediocre to me. I took my wife there for a birthday breakfast. The Omelets we ordered were extremely bland. I went to use the Men's restroom and found it to be lacking. It didn't appear to have been cleaned recently. The wait staff was very good. Although this was my first visit I will visit it again to see if it improved between visits. read more

This was our first time being in Ohio at this particular restaurant. We saw that they had good reviews so we decided to try them out. Our wait was about 30-45 min which was perfectly fine. We finally sat down at our table and was greeted by our server, ERIKA D. She had a nasty attitude from the beginning. We ordered our drinks and she asked if we wanted to place our food order at the same time, so we did. We sat at the table for about 20 mins with NO DRINKS...Our food finally came and our drinks followed a few mins after. Our food orders were completely wrong and we were trying to ask our waiter to write the information down and she stated that she did, however, all of our orders were still wrong, even after sending them back multiple times. Erika made numerous snarky comments after we let her know that our orders kept coming out wrong. She was visibly upset that she had to go back into the kitchen multiple times but that was clearly not our fault. She wrote nothing down. She really made our experience unenjoyable and I do NOT recommend this server to anyone. She probably should find a job where she is happier because this is clearly not the place for her. read more

One of the secrets of Dayton is that it doesn't produce amazing breakfast places. As a southerner who was doing breakfast and brunch long before it became a "thing," I am often disappointed by a brunch menu that is dominated by savory items, usually omelets and some kind of lunch sandwich. (Also, is it even real brunch without Really Good Grits? I think not.) Happily, Another Broken Egg doesn't follow the mold here--there are plenty of fancy pancakes and French toast given ample room on the menu (and even one in the seasonal specials!). I've been in twice, both times because of specific cravings. The first time I was craving crab cakes, and was intrigued by the idea of crab cakes AND fried green tomatoes, which I don't get very often up here. The presentation of the crab cakes was disappointing--more like crab mush, although they were very tasty and easily the best part of the meal. The fried green tomatoes were overbreaded and seasoned blandly, so they were hard to taste against the flavor of the crab cake. The dressing on the side salad was a little too viscous and sweet for me (and where was the jalepeño taste?!), but it balanced together well with the spinach and the goat cheese. I also had a virgin tomatillo mary, which was tasty (like gazpacho) although a little underspiced. I came back a couple weeks later because I was craving avocado toast and didn't have any bread in the house. The toast itself was disappointing--it was plated next to the capers, so the bottom slice was soggy and salty by the time I got to it. All the DIY ingredients were tasty, although loading them all on together, just to try it, drowned out the guacamole. I also had a side of City Grits, which were delicious. Someone clearly knows how grits are done (with milk and cheese), although if the grits base is the same you can probably do without the bacon and green onion. All together, Another Broken Egg is a 3.5/5 for me: good enough to come back to regularly, but seasoned too cautiously to be truly great. read more

The best brunch ! Had the Hashbrown Benedict- OMG. The eggs were perfect and the hash brow cake was filled with ham, onions and peppers. So good. Daughter got the Creole Benedict. The mustard sauce was amazing! Server Wes so nice- another table kept him hopping and I'm sure they didn't tip well we gave him some extra love on the tip! read more

I went at 10 am on Monday to avoid a long wait, but still waited over a half hour, and the table next to me of 6 waited an hour for their meal, and two of them were cold and went back. I told the waiter that they need to post or warn about the wait. They were not overly full and the waiter said that they had several groups, duh!
