The food however in my opinion, offers a huge menu, the portions are large and aesthetically pleasing, it's not nasty, but it's not delicious either. It's kind of basic to me. I've been twice now, really wanted to like it. I had the same opinion, its somewhat mid tasting food. Coffee will put hair on your chest though! Maybe rating it a slightly less than Corky's, Denny's, or Norms. But nowhere close Brandon's, Broken Yolk or Carolyn's breakfast eateries. Diners are my weakness! So when this opened up, I had to go try it out. Hooters used to be in this building, so glad a diner came in to take over the place. I really don't understand the hype with this place. I ordered the country fried steak, and everything on the plate missed the mark. The crust had no flavor and was gummy, the steak was bland, the veggies tasted like they came straight from a frozen bag, and the country potatoes were overly salty. I couldn't even finish my meal because it was that bad. I even told my waitress the food wasn't good, and she completely ignored what I said, she just replied with "I'll bring you your check." 1st time at Annie's in Moreno Valley. Stopped with my lady for breakfast, they have a huge selection of breakfast entries. But as I looked over the whole menu, one item caught my eye. The Monte Cristo. Mind you I have given up ordering them as im always disappointed. But one line tempted me, (we will deep fry it it if you want) and of course that is the only proper Monte Cristo. When the sandwich came to the table it looked amazing, like a true flashback to the time I feel in love with this type of sandwich. It was served by our wonderful server Breanna. Came here since it was where the old hooters was located so wanted to check out what they opened. The ambiance is still the same from the old hooters nothing much has changed. It's nice! My low score is because the service is pretty lousy. We got sat and no one came to get us drinks for like 10 mins and the regular menu doesn't even have a drinks menu on it. So after waiting, they still have to bring us another menu with the drinks on it. Multiple servers came to our table, so it was very disorganized. After they brought out our food, they forgot a whole plate. Then when it came time to pay, we let them know that they forgot a plate and the lady said she was gonna go in remove the charged item from a receipt and then she never came back. But we waited another 15 minutes and then we had to ask another server if we were ever going to get our tab or if we should just dine in dash. Listen, I get it. It's a bunch of young kids in there. They're all over the place but yeah kind of a lousy. First time eating here probably won't be back. The food was OK though. Just a service sucked. read more

Understanding this was their first open weekend and kinks need to get worked out, we didn't have a great welcoming experience. We walked in and were sat right away. The restaurant was not full. There was only one other group sat in our section. It took anyone to greet us once we sat down over 15 minutes. No water, no coffee, no nothing. We sat there looking at our menus, trying to make it obvious we were ready and we got nothing. We watched the servers all gather around and do some organized dance and then go back to whatever they were doing. My husband was ready to walk out and never come back. That sort of thing leaves a lasting impression. Our server, Daniel, finally came around. He apologized multiple times for the failure. Once the order was placed, it came fairly quickly. I had the corned beef hash and eggs and a slice of coffee cake. Corned beef hash was ok... it could have been cooked a little longer. The coffee cake was moist, but very sweet. I was told the pancakes were good, but not great. We really felt there was little in the way of "British" theming aside from once flag and a menu item that said it was "bangers". The music was really loud for first thing in the morning. I think the dancing felt more like an evening or dinner-time side show. Maybe we'll be back. Not sure. I'd like to see better acknowledgment of my existence at the table by the staff. Daniel was great, he knew how to read his customers. Someone should have communicated with him there were customers sitting in his section so we weren't sitting there so long. read more

Went around 11 on a saturday morning and got sat immediately! We tried the mimosa flight and it was delicious, especially the apple pie one, that was my favorite! Our server, Jessica, was amazing and took great care of us. The only downside was the food, it really didn't have much seasoning. At least in the carnitas skillet.. Delicious new cafe in the Moreno Valley/Riverside area. LOTS of options. Also, I am gluten intolerant, so I was shocked to find out they had gluten free pancakes and toast! Which were delicious by the way. They're not advertised on the menu, so you have to ask. I went 2 days in a row so that should tell you something lol. The staff is incredibly friendly. Yes their portions are a nice size for their prices. But the flavors missed the spot on everything. My French toast came out cold as well as my potatoes. Hubby's biscuit and gravy were bland. His burrito was big but lacked flavor for everything that was in it. OMG and the coffee cake... on the menu it says famous coffee cake. Nooooooo hunny. That was the most disappointing dish we ordered. It came out warm but as soon as we tried it, it was hard. Like it was put in the microwave. Overall the food here is like Dennys or ihop with bigger portions. I stopped eating at Dennys and ihop over 5 years ago. If you want big portions for a great price but lack of flavor then this place will do fine. And I forgot to take a pic of the coffee cake cuz the server forgot to bring it until we reminded him, and seemed annoyed when we did. Walked in about 1:30 on Saturday. Took about 5 minutes to be sat. Once sat, nobody ever came to get our drink order. I had to flag someone down to get coffee. Took about 15 minutes for anyone to come and take our order. Our food was delivered and it was lukewarm. Nobody ever came back to check on us. We found the coffee pot and refilled our own coffee. Also got our own leftovers container. Someone besides our server dropped our bill off at the beginning of our meal. I guess we didn't want to order anything else. We used the QR code to pay and never spoke to another employee the entire time. Restaurant wasn't busy. There were more employees than guests. We never saw them dance. I visited Annie's Café and ordered the grilled chicken Caesar salad. Our server, Breanna, was very nice and the service started off great -- food came out warm and fresh. The manager, Brock helped the food runner with the food and he happened to bring me my salad. Unfortunately, while I was just starting to eat my salad, I found a dead fly inside. It completely ruined my appetite and honestly made me gag. The busboy came over to address it, which I feel should have been handled by a manager. I was offered something else, but I respectfully declined because I was already grossed out. Our server kindly removed the salad from the bill, which I appreciated, but overall the experience was upsetting. Sadly, I won't be returning. I would apply the photo , which we feel bad because I know it was an honest mistake I really wanted to love this new spot since it just opened, and I hope they tighten up on quality control. I came in with my mom and grandma and was told there was a 15 minute wait, it did not take that long, yay. Our server Roman was kind and had good suggestions. The food was tasty, came out faster than expected too. When we got our food we received the wrong order of eggs but our problem was solved so fast. Brought us our very watery milkshakes which was our first item ordered - in to go cups. Items were missing from our food order and after finding someone to tell her bc she had never come back, she brought the plate followed with "wasn't my fault!" When speaking with her while finishing settling the check, she walked off to a table about 2 tables away. My mouth was literally open bc words were coming out when she did this. We visited this restaurant for the first time yesterday. We had the Western bacon burger, and their french fries and enjoyed the whole meal. Prices aren't the cheapest but they did give a military discount which, as a veteran, I appreciate. We were staying at the Mission Inn in Riverside and my wife decided to look for a local breakfast place instead of just going downstairs. We ended up at Annie's. It was a bit of a drive, but, boy was it worth it! My wife had a big bowl of oatmeal and I had the pork chops and eggs. Service was first rate, prices were reasonable, and the food was top notch. Best boneless breakfast pork chops I've had since I can't remember when (juicy, tasty, not over-cooked), and Kathy said the oatmeal was great! Cottage fries could have been a little warmer, but everything else was so good that I'm not deducting any points for that. Nice folks, great atmosphere, highly recommend. read more

We called ahead and asked if there was a wait time. They told us yes and asked if we would like to be placed on the waitlist. I liked how we were able to placed on the waitlist by phone. As we were sat down we got our waitress and ordered our drinks. I did notice the floor was a bit dirty but it was busy inside so they could have missed it. The drinks came in fast and she left for about 10 minutes until she took our order. We got the hobo skillet and the crunchy French toast. We explained to our waitress how we were splitting our food and wished they told us about the portion size because we were a bit disappointed with the skillet. The French toast had a great portion size and very yummy. We waited almost an hour for our food and only once were we checked up on. The surrounding table came in after us and got their food before us (they had ordered more food than us.) We got the skillet first and had to wait another 10 minutes for our French toast. We noticed after we left we never got our sourdough bread. I feel the waitress noticed I was a bit upset and she started to check up on us more. We finished our food and tried finding our waitress for another good 5-8 minutes until a different server came by. They gave us the receipt and told us to wait so they can get the payment machine but went to the table who came after us! I just ended up scanning the receipt and paid by my phone and manually put in my tip but when I got my final receipt I was charged a different tip amount. This whole experience was very interesting to say. I understand that the restaurant was busy but why were we waiting longer than the rest? Was it because we're young or for other reasons? As of right now we will not be coming back but hope the next time we go, it would be a better experience. read more
