Post Lockdown, I walked in for a much needed pedicure. I was asked to walk to the back of the shop to wash my hands, which I did. I had to walk by everyone - which seems ass-backwards. There should be hand sanitizer at the front of the shop. I was told by a woman who identified herself as a co-owner, it would be ten minutes. She then left. Staff directed me to a pedicure chair and sat me next to another with NO plastic barrier - and I could extend my arm and touch my the person next to me. After about 30 minutes, the pedicure team was nowhere near done with the person they were working on. I threw in the towel and left. The shop needs a face lift, but the furniture looked nice. There staff may be awesome (and I liked reading the review stating their cleanliness of instruments used), but I saw staff picking up instruments without any cleaning. With their lack of cleanliness (especially during Covid), I won't go back. I would expect more cleanliness, barriers between clients. Another thing I do not like is the staff having their kids hang out at the shop - it's not a day care. I want to relax- not deal with kids running around and interrupting staff. read more

This place is not a good nail salon.... It almost seems like they don't know how to do nails. They rushed through me and my sister so fast they didn't even soak my nails before digging in at them?? Shouldn't they soften your cuticles? I got shellac and it was rough on the tip of my nail and looked terrible on the edges!! Completely thrown on. Honestly might go somewhere else to have them redone. And he used about the smallest bit of lotion I have ever seen to rub my hands. I have been going here for a long time. I know covid is no fun for everyone!! I am a licensed cosmetologist and I have seen their sanitary stations. They make sure to clean and disinfect after each client. I have had zero problems with them. Very professional and their work is outstanding. I was reading some comments and there is a lot of misinformation on here. They dont need to get new tools if you are the customer they used them on, for example from manicure to pedicure. Annie's Nail is by far my favorite nail salon go-to. Anna & her team always do great work that lasts for weeks! Place is clean, inviting, & friendly. The prices are relatively cheaper than most others with little wait time. They have comfortable chairs & new desks. My favorite gel polish colors are the glitter "Mood Change" ones. They change 2 different colors by temperature, giving a magical ombre effect from time to time. My friends rave about mine when I get them done! They now go to this salon. Not my normal salon. If I could give no stars I would. Went in 7/25 to get pedicure and dip. Very routine! The lady(Annie?) descent pedicure, did my nails with dip. Dipped each finger total about 10 times each. So thick, I didn't really question, which never will I NOT question. By Wednesday 2 nails chipped and one broke. Wtf!! Called to let her know, told her that I can only come on Sunday, she said no problem. Get in at 12:45 no lady. Sam was nice enough to fix the two, and he said what did she do, there to thick, he said she didn't know how to do dip. She then showed up, and tried to say that she didn't do it. Really?? Decor is pretty ugh special? Kinda looks like someone just had random leftover paint and then got some random furniture... but, it's nearly walking distance from my house, Rana did a fantastic job and prices are great. Additionally, I felt it was very clean and I noticed that the tools came in cleaned packages. They had a lot of quality polishes to choose from too. I was happy with the quality of the service and I'll go back in a couple weeks for another pedicure. They do ask that you tip the technician directly with cash instead of on your card. I went there a few times. They don't do a good job. The first time I went the guy cut my cuticle and it was red and bleeding for a few days. Today, I had a gel manicure and I asked for Oval shape,but was told that my nails are too short. They're not. Shame on me for going back after the first few times my manicure was awful. The man running the place is extremely rude and rushes through people. If you are not getting a shellac manicure, they don't take their time and they are extremely rude. I had a problem with my shellac bubbling and asked the nail technician to fix it. When I did this he rolled his eyes and "fixed it". (I walked out with a bubbly nail because I couldn't communicate with him to explain what the problem was). While I was there 4 other people came in and they lied to each of them saying it would be a "15 minute wait." They were all there for at least a half hour after I left. I will never go back and URGE anyone else to stay away, I can't stress the unprofessionalism enough. We are paying for a service! read more

I've been going to Anna at Annie's nails for two years. She has always been friendly and does a great job. Since she is out of the country right now, Angela did my gel fill. While my nails look nice, I was very disappointed with my experience today. I was ignored as the employees spent the entire time talking to each other. Angela even spent time talking on her phone on speaker. I told her I won't be back as there are plenty of nail salons around who treat clients with respect. The woman that performed my nail service did not clean my nails well, did not cut the nails short even though I asked them to cut the nails short, and when she put the color on my nails it looked horrible and was not smooth at all. I had to ask the nail tech to remove it and redo it. Also was charged full price for service but they only used oil and not anything else. This is second time I went here and both times have been disappointed. I won't come back here anymore when there are so many other places around that do a much better job. I feel like I wasted my money for nothing! I want to give them a zero star if it possible. read more

If you want your fingers manhandled and bleeding then this is the place to go. 4 people in the building and only one person knows how to do any of it. The older guy cannot paint nails to save his life. Put 3 THICK coats of polish on my nails and they looked bulky and chunky. Not to mention the Chinese lady that did the filing part was literally filing my skin away. None of my nails are the same size. I didn't even bother getting the design I wanted because if you can't paint a basic color coat how the hell would you be able to draw smiley faces?? There's acrylic all over my fingers so I didn't even bother posting a picture to my social media. If I could give negative stars for this place I would. The sign says $25 for full acrylic set and an extra $15 for shellac. So my set should have costed $40, except I was charged $50 for an ugly full set and bleeding, throbbing finger tips. 0/10 wouldn't recommend to my worst enemy. read more

This was hands down the worst pedicure I've ever had. Our first clue that things werent going to be good, was the lack of selection of polish. Also.... Sally Hansen? Really? Are you CVS? Lets get to the meaty part. They didn't trim my toe nails, but did "file" them (but really only filed away my skin- and 'twas painful) When trimming my cuticles she cut away parts of my big toe-toenail, now making them diagonal on both of my big toes - ensuring that I will receive some nice ingrown toenails in a few weeks. Big thanks for that. When asked about the diagonal cuts on both feet, she said it was my toes fault, and that it happened when she was filing. Negative. It happened when she was using those clippers, maybe attempted to trim back an invisible hang nail - thus just cutting back my toe nail like a hedge. I distinctly remember because I gave my gf a look - much like "Wtf is she doing" I don't have time to go on about how awful my friends pedicure was too, or how horrid a paint job that require lots of acetone fix-ups. Just know I will never be back. one and only plus - $25. read more

I have been coming here for a good few months because it is by the the best job I've had on my acrylics. They last me at least 4 weeks, currently just went 5 in between fills and if they weren't too long for me I could have gone another week if not more. The shellac never chips and the acrylics have never came off. Even when I think "there's no way my nails will last" they do. I've never been able to go to a nail place with my acrylics still on 2 weeks later. They always come off, but not here. The owner does seem to rush through things but I'm fine with that because I need to be in and out most of the time. I don't have all day to sit around (I wish!) so it's ideal for me. read more

Love them, they have all the new colors shellac colors. Not sure about a simple manicure but if you are getting shellac over fake nails or and overlay of your real nails, they are the place to go. They cost about 10-15 bucks more than what I was paying but the old nail salon I was going to has moved so I had to find a place close to home and my child's school. So far, no complaints and I will continue to go. It's nice and clean on the inside also. read more

I've been here 3 times & finally have to give a very 'meh' review. First time I was impressed---one of owners (?) did my nails, she's at the table connected to the desk. I thought she did a very nice job & prices about the same as Luxury Nails in Clawson (my usual, but Annie's is closer to home). I thought, great! Found a wonderful new place! 2nd time had a maybe Eastern-European young woman, 2nd table from front, very nice, but so rough with my hands & lopped my nails off so I could see finger at the top of each. I wear short, but this was ridiculous! Not happy. But decided to give them one more try, figuring that gal was unusual. Owner (?) again---she moved the emery board so fast when scoring the shellac before wrapping that my nails actually burned from the friction. Will not be going back. Disappointing, because it's close to home & not very busy. Now I know why. Also their pricing is confusing--I don't think I was charged the same for the exact same service, & it wasn't what was on their pricing wall. Worst manicure and pedicure I ever received. The women was so rough with my nails she cut my nails to short and was so rough that my nails started to bleed. She put top coat on top of the blood! She was super clumsy, I was quoted one price over the phone and then the price went up $20 after they were finished. I asked why and they couldn't give me an explanation. She was in such a rush, nail polish bottles where flying, she dump the nail polish remover on my clothes and didn't say a word to me except "what do you want " and $67.00. Pre-COVID I thought this nail salon was a hidden gem. The prices were fair, the nail techs were pretty good, and you could walk in most days and not have to wait long. After 2 visits since their reopening in June, I am very disappointed and will not be returning. After my first visit I was a disappointed. The prices had gone up considerably which is to be expected after being closed for so long. But when I pay premium prices, I expect a premium nail job. The nail tech was sloppy and the polish didn't last nearly as long has it should. Within a week my no chip polish began peeling away. I returned 2 weeks later specifically asking for a polish change. The nail tech told me to get dip polish for what I was asking her to do but didn't explain that I would be paying twice as much for this. They also charged me for removing the polish I had on which never happens unless you are only getting polish removed and nothing else. I ended up paying $60 to have my nails repainted with no manicure and again the nail job is sloppy. The quality went from pretty good to terrible and the prices just aren't worth it. You'd be better off going somewhere on Main Street in Royal Oak. read more

I really love the way Rana and both owners do my nails (the husband and wife). I also appreciate the reasonable prices! My only complaint is with the customer service the owner's daughter provides. She works at the salon as a nail technician, but is not always very courteous or kind. She definitely doesn't always make one feel welcomed. Getting a pedicure should be a relaxing activity. I felt as though I was at a jiffy lube. Everything the girl did was rushed. There was two girls there. One was doing manicures and the other pedicures. They weren't busy at all. But another woman came in for a pedicure too. So the girl rushed even more so she could get to the other lady. Love this place! And I couldn't disagree more with the other review. The owners' daughter is the absolute best. She's extremely friendly and I request her when she's available. I can't imagine that she wouldn't make other people feel welcome. I'm living in Bloomfield Hills while my royal oak home is renovated and I still drove over here for my pedicure despite many other options on that side of town. They take credit cards and even let me tip on the credit card. Very reasonably priced and do an excellent job. read more
