I can honestly only say the saving grace here is the woman I go to for my pedicures is so sweet and kind. She does a great job every time. The downside to this place is that they overbook and the clients who do make appointments end up waiting at least a half hour for their nails because they take walk ins. I have been a long time customer at this nail salon but sadly today I've had the worst experience. I went in for a gel manicure and my nails turned out horrible. It was the older man (I think the owner) who did them. When he was taking my old gel polish off he used his own finger nail to scrape mine off! He kept dosing off while doing my nails and even skipped a few nails when doing the base coat. He kept coughing and sneezing then continuing to touch my hands after. I am a long time customer and went in today for an acrylic removal and gel manicure. An older gentleman (must be owner or manager since I've seen him sitting at the front desk before) removed them and began my gel manicure. Unfortunately, when cutting my cuticles it seemed as if he was not paying attention at all and cut two of my fingers. He then just completely disregarded the rest of my fingers and wanted to start putting the under coat on. He then started to paint my nails but told me he did not like quality of the brand so to choose another color. After two failed attempts to find a color they had I asked the gentleman to please pick a similar color to what I had chosen. As he was painting my nails I noticed he was dozing off and actually closing his eyes when my nails were drying. He began painting my nails again and actually fell asleep mid motion and painted up my finger. I have been to every nail salon this side of the Mississippi, I'm so picky that I get my pink and white gel nails done at one salon in town and don't particularly love their pedicures so my co-worker referred me to Annie Nails. Today my fiancé and I decided to take her up on her recommendation. Speechless- perfect! The ladies we had filled our tub and let our feet soak for a little bit while using the chair massage. They both took their time, and were very through. The leg massages they gave with the vibrating massager was amazing. I've been to a million salons and have never experienced that. The whole experience was fabulous and we will return. Only negative side is the owner is unfriendly and not very personable. read more

I've gone to Annie's just a couple of times and have never been that excited about their customer service. I got a gel manicure on Weds and by Thursday my nails were already chipping and there were even some nails where the polish slid of the entire nail. I happened to be on vacation the day after I got my nails done. I called them before I returned to let them know what was going on. Upon my return on Sunday only one nail one my left hand had polish. I went to the salon to see if I could get my money back because I did not have time to get my nails redone. I was told no and that they could only fix them. I explained why I didn't have the time and the answer was still no. Typically if I had the time and lived in the area I wouldn't have an issue getting them fixed but my schedule would not allow this as I had not planned to have to get my nails done twice in 4 days. The male manager came to the front and also told me that he would not refund my money and could only fix. I told him the reason why I couldn't stay and he was reluctant to offer any other type of concession besides fixing because "they don't give money back. They only fix". I told him that this was unacceptable so he offered a gift certificate but then told me he wouldn't take off the polish off of the remaining hands. I told him this was unacceptable and not fair to a Paying customer. He finally obliged. He gave me a gift certificate to get another gel manicure. I asked if I could get something else for the same price and he told me no. Why would I want to pay to get gel again after the experience I just had. I understand that things happen but what I have the biggest issue with is the quality of customer service. No one wants to feel swindled out of their money for the sake of filling someone else's pockets when the service rendered was not quality work and yet that's how I feel. I have a few other family members that regularly get their nails done here and they have already said that they would not be returning based off of my experience. read more

I went to get my acrylics filled. The guy who did my nails made 4 of my fingers bleed (at the cuticle), and he disappeared for about 15 minutes before doing the gel polish. He did a crap job at painting them, the bottoms and sides of almost every nail is missing color. When I went to pay, their credit/debit machine wasn't working. She cut my cuticle so short, my foot was actually dripping blood. She did not use sanitary methods to try and stop the blood. I finally hobbled out in the middle of the pedicure. I've been here a few times, each hoping that my experience is better than the last...I'm wrong everytime. They move so incredibly slow here, if you're looking to get in and out definitely go somewhere else. Last time I was here I got a pedicure and while the overall outcome was fine, I noticed some unsanitary practices going on. The tools that she used came out of the sterilized package which was good. One tool didn't work and she went back to get another one, but I'm not sure if it was sterilized or not because she didn't pull it out of a pack in front of me. After she scrubbed my feet, she proceeded to put the scrubber in my dirty foot water, haphazardly "clean" it off, and put it back in the drawer. Gross! I love this salon! I recently got a set of acrylics while at home and needed a place to get them refilled while at school. This place is walking distance from campus which is perfect since I don't have a car here. Everyone there is so friendly and they have a large staff so most walk-in appointments don't have much of a wait. All of the women that work there are always smiling and laughing with each other as well as with the customers which really helps make the experience. I never make an appointment and usually have someone different doing my nails each time I go and everyone does a wonderful job. They also have an ATM conveniently located in their salon if you forget cash! I can't wait to get a pedicure soon! read more

I found Annie's to be a disappointment after hearing good things about it. The salon has a dingy feel to it and I was greeted by a man with a pack of cigarettes in his pocket. That turned me off immediately but I decided to give it a try. While the staff was friendly enough, neither my manicure nor pedicure looked like it had been done professionally. Over 24 hours later my feet still feel raw from the scrubbing. My favorite thing about this salon is the pedicures. They really take their time on pedicures here. My favorite part of getting a pedicure is the foot massage, and not only do they give you a long massage, but they also use a vibrating tool that they rub on your feet and legs. Their massage chairs are relaxing, too. I also had to get my acrylic nails soaked off recently and I can't stand it when nail salons don't allow your nails to soak long enough and they just start ripping them off. My nail tech let my nails soak (wrapped in aluminum) during my entire pedicure, and was very gentle when removing them. My gel manicure also turned out really nice. Another nice plus is that there is an ATM in the store. Many nail places don't let you tip on credit cards, so it's nice that they have an ATM so you can take out cash. The reason I didn't give this 5 stars was mainly for overall appearance of the salon and friendliness. The salon is functional but dated. As I was getting my pedicure I notice that several people that had come in were not greeted right away. There were actually a few people that came in and left because they were just standing there waiting. I also felt that my nail tech was pre-occupied with her cell phone during my service. She would get up during parts of my pedicure to check her phone in her drawer and was also on it while she was doing my manicure. read more

I went to the salon to get a dip gel manicure. Other dip gel manicures have lasted me about a month with no chipping or cracking which is why I dont mind spending the extra money. But this one barely lasted me a week. My nails instantly chipped and cracked, and even the polish color faded dramatically. Been here a few times because their massage portion of the pedicure is awesome. Recent visit was not what I was looking for. I got my pedicure and it was just ok. My technician did not seem interested and was yawning nonstop. Following my pedi, I got a gel manicure. Horrific results. After being under the light, the polish was all crinkled and looks terrible. Also, the top coat was not applied to my entire nail. And on top of all that, it's already chipping/peeling after less than 5 days!! This place deserves no stars. I went in for a gel mani and pedi and was completely unsatisfied. My gel polish was so thick that it wound up starting to peel off that night. I even asked that it not be thick and the lady said "it was better that way." She made 3 of my cuticles bleed, and when I pulled away because it hurt a little, she told me to "stop moving." I'm a grown woman and the way I was spoken to was unacceptable. Also when I walked in, it was not busy at all, but the attitude they gave me made it seem like I was an inconvenience to them for being there. During my pedicure, the woman that was giving me my pedicure got up multiple times to talk to other employees and she was talking so much to the employee next to me that she barely focused on what she was doing. Dont listen to the bad reviews, I've been going to Annie's Nails for a few years and they are the BEST!! I get a pink and white refill which is about $28 and looks amazing everytime! (Go to Tina, Katie or Michelle) Im picky with my nails, I like a thick white line and shaped square, square and they always do it perfectly and remember exactly what I want the next time I come in. After the first visit Tina knew my name :) I recently moved to the DC area and cannot find anywhere that compares to the girls here. I try to time getting my nails done with trips home. Pedicures are also really nice here.. they have a vibrating hand-held machine they use to massage your legs.. soo nice! They can get busy so I always make an appointment. read more

I love this place, great acrylics for a great price. The first time I came, my manicurist was very nice and professional, she did a great job. HOWEVER, the 2nd time I came to get my nails re-done, the only male manicurist working here did my nails, and I was very dissapointed. He was sloppy, condescending, and so agressive while re-filling my acrylics that I was in pain. I will definitely be back, but will request my previous manicurist again. read more
