The Summer I Turned Into a Homegoods Shopper…read more I've never been into a Homegoods in my life but recently became very intrigued. I was out for a walk and decided to stop in. I found some cute items for Fall (Football platters for Game Day snackies, Fall candles, cute Halloween decor and a cozy blanket that's really helped make my sofa feel a bit more homey). I came back a week later to purchase a couple of Fall candles to gift to my baristas because they are the sweetest. I wanted a thoughtful little surprise for them. They know I've been struggling with this "mild" Texas summer and can't wait until Fall. I thought the candles would be a nice little gesture for them being little beacons of light during my weekdays. This is a great store to pick up items for the house at reasonable prices or quick little gifts for someone. I'll definitely be returning to keep a pulse on what types of things I find. I'm big into seasonal items and have a feeling they'll always have a little something cute to add a touch here and there. .

You all ought to be ashamed of yourselves…read more We Bought the wire stand and candles to keep the catering trays warm for our group event Returned them within 24 hours The first lady laughed and referred our group member to her supervisor. The supervisor stated that they do not return small items (i.e. small purchases) We asked her where is that written because the note at the register states they allow returns within 30 days Then supervisor said that she would return but keep 25% for restocking fee I told her, now you've given two different stories in less than 5 minutes... which one is true. I offered to place the items back on the shelf (would have taken less than on minute) but she said .. .that's not what restocking fee means and then referred to large purchases (my return would have been approx. $100) I advised the supervisor that I'm not giving her $25 for nothing and left store asking her 'Is your business that desperate for money?' So at what point does anyone care about A. Being honest B. Not blatantly making up rules C. Customer service D. Overall wanting repeat business. It's 2024, if you have humans working to represent your store like the above.. GOOD LUCK!

In April 2025, I purchased five different kinds of Dizzy Pig seasonings while picking up an order…read moremy wife had placed for some chlorine. I collected the chlorine from the front desk and made a separate purchase for the seasonings. I didn't use the seasonings until this weekend when I fired up my smoker. It was then that I noticed the "best by" date was from May 2023. While I understand that a "best by" date is just a guideline, two years past that date is quite excessive. I called the store to request an exchange but was told "NO" due to their 30-day policy, which I understand. However, the "manager" repeatedly informed me that seasonings don't expire; they just lose their smell, potency, and flavor. He emphasized multiple times that they were not "expired." Having cooked for over 20 years, I know what happens to seasonings past their prime. When they lose their intended qualities, I typically discard them as they no longer serve their purpose. So, I ask you this: What do you buy seasonings for? The smell? The flavor? The potency? All of these attributes diminish over time. The fact that this store sells products with dates from two years ago is quite concerning. Since the manager offered no assistance, I will be leaving reviews to inform the public that this location sells outdated products and is inflexible with their "policy."

Thank you, Alisha and Ivan, for making us feel valued from the moment we walked in. We're looking forward to doing more business with Floor & Decor. She took a cart around and picked up some sample tiles that we liked and then helped us place an order once we made our final decisions. The prices seemed very reasonable and everything was in stock except for the vanity, but we weren't ready to receive that until after the tile and shower was built and installed. I returned some extra unused Schluter profile with no issues at all. Every transaction was businesslike and professional and we were always treated like a valued customer.
