I love walking through Hobby Lobby for hours enjoying all the decor. I stopped in for some acrylic paints for some small sculpture projects. Found some tiny model paints by 'Testors' for $1.99 because unlike Joannes their 4oz acrylics are limited in colours and none were less than $4.99 - so I will not be back for more paint unless I want the Testors. Just have to say extremely disappointed by the extremely aloof and attitude of a cashier named Tina- does she realize some people don't have jobs or can't work in this crazy world? I asked if it matters which item would have their usual 40% off coupon and besides mumbling all of her speech she was just not warm at all. Reminds me again of Joannes Fabric right around the corner where the lovely lady I mentioned in my last review went out of her way to give me a 50% off coupon. I said "I hope you have a great day you seem very upset" - stoic - no thank you, just a blank dismissal and never any eye contact. Things are hard enough with these stupid masks and new world than having to deal with "customer service" rep who treats people like that. Shocked and disappointed. read more

Hobby Lobby is a pretty neat place to shop and I've found many, many excuses to go there...From Bridal supplies to Science fair project boards, you will have a reason to shop there. Now, this location is okay, the layout of the store is okay with me...the customer service is pretty okay... I'm not tickled with the prices of fabric. One thing I'm crazy about is their clearance shelves...the clearance shelves are my first destination, then, I go and look around. I've found my best finds there and sometimes, I'll fill a shopping cart with neat little things and I'm sure I've saved at least 70 percent...what a deal! I've purchased a great number of art supplies; the prices are okay...I prefer going to an art shop when I have the time... When it comes to crafts for kids, you can find anything imaginable and if you watch your sales paper, you should use the coupons or go when they have the reasonable sales and mark downs. I don't believe I've ever left the store without purchasing at least an armload of stuff... read more

They have a lot of beach themed decor which is my favorite, so I enjoyed shopping here. I can't say the customer service was the best not friendliest but it was not terrible by any means. They had good sales and also honor digital coupons read more

I am not really much of an arts and craftsy type person. I came here for some weights to put on the grandcubs pinewood derby car. Was pretty easy to find-even in a store this size. It is a pretty well layed out store. Easy to figue out what type of craft is where. They also have a lot-I mean a lot- of decor items. I actually need to come back here just to devote some time looking at these items- they had all types of awesome comic related poster, paintings, and decorations. This store is staffed with some knowledgeable people with a sense of customer service. The operative word is SOME. I just had a simple return today that should have been an easy in and out. But no! The clerk insisted on refunding my card as the only way to refund. When I noted he chose the wrong items at a lower price he insisted he was right and i was wrong. I kept insisting they refund me the correct price. In the end I had to repurchase the original items on my card and then start over. The manager stated it would have been so much easier of I had accepted a cash refund even after I was told they could only refund my card. They have made numerous price and refund errors in the past. Most of the time i have caught the errors in the store. Their system of reading some bar codes and not others is so last century. I will stay away from this location and probably all others in the future. The aggravation to check my back account is not worth their poor service and procedures. read more

I recently paid patronage to the Mesquite, TX store with the specific intention of having three custom frames made but ended up ordering only one custom frame and purchasing an over the counter frame with added UV protective glass as well as a raincheck of the same frame since it was out of stock. After my order was taken for my custom frame and my degree had been framed I headed to a register to check out with my newly framed degree by myself and no escort. Little did I expect customer service would be a little different upon my return a couple of weeks later to pick up my order; I was first told by a young lady in the framing department I needed ID in order to pick up my order. I have placed several orders over the years for custom frames from Hobby Lobby and never have I been asked for my ID, and furthermore, it is not posted on your order slip nor did the associate state I would need an ID or my order slip. Secondly, after she decided I did not need my ID - this time - she informed me that she needed to call an associate to escort me and my custom frame to a register for check out. I asked her why I needed to be escorted to a register and she said it was store policy. I told her I was just there a few weeks ago and had a degree framed in addition to placing my custom frame order and no one saw the need to escort me to a register at that time. Nor had they in the past. So, why now? Especially since my purchase was far less valuable ($37) than most products in their store. In fact, I have never seen anyone escorted to a register when purchasing a three hundred dollar Christmas tree or a $70+ over the counter frame. Customer service has responded it is in fact store policy to escort all custom frames to a register with no logical explanation beyond it's 'store policy'. I think it would have settled better with me if customer service would have come back with 'it is a red carpet service' offered to custom frame orders over just it is 'store policy'. I heard that already from the associate and the store manager. Tell me something different. Show a desire in keeping my business. Hobby Lobby ranks low on my customer service list and it seems to be growing as my city grows. In any event, I will be taking my custom frame business elsewhere. read more
