Anna's is ok if you are looking for basic alterations. Their girls are nice-- you will find that there are some that are better than others at fitting. They rush you through with their "next" and pin approach to alterations. You need to know who to ask for if you have any specialty needs. I'm just saying I would expect more if they are supposed to be the best in town. If you are looking for coutour alterations this is NOT the place......my opinion is that they have a "formula" and do not have the expertise to really "fit" a garnet. Any recommendations....I want to know who in Charlotte I can go to for a real "fit"alteration -- I know it can be done!! There must be someone who really knows dressmaking.!! I'll use Anna's for my basics but still desperate to find the artistry to handle my most special needs. read more

Not only were they able to accommodate me on same day alteration but they said they can have it to me in 10-20 minutes! Just got to pay a little rush fee which I'm not complaining about at all. Pricing beats most places and is great! I would highly recommend Anna's! read more

I took my bridesmaid dress to be altered & my experience was horrible. From the moment I walked in until I walked out the 2 women working were incredibly rude. I needed assistance with putting on the corset (13 hook bra that can't be put on by itself) & they refused. I tried the dress on without the corset. I only needed the top of the dress taken in about an inch on each side. She said the dress could not be altered properly & I needed a longline bra (which isn't made in my size). I told her that I wasn't comfortable leaving my dress (it was $350). She said "if she can't do it, no one can." Well I took my dress to someone else who was able to altered the top of the dress so that it fit properly and she charged me substantially less than what I was being charged here. The timeframe I was there, 2 other individuals were in the store being serviced. The treatment they received was far more attentive and friendly. I would hate to think the difference in the quality of service was due to my skin color. I will never take anything there to be altered or would I recommend them. read more

Anna says a wonderful job with my alterations. I've taken a variety of items into their store. I've had dresses skirts and pants hemmed and altered. Most recently I had some patches put on some jeans that had tears in them they were quick and friendly. I've always greeted when I walk into the store. They have a lot of space and it is neat and clean. I highly suggest them for your alteration needs. read more

During my first visit, I had taken in my son's tuxedo that needed to be fitted for prom. The price was extremely reasonable for the amazing work that was done. The lady that had helped me was very sweet. My baby boy looked so handsome in his suit! I couldn't have been happier with the outcome! During my second visit, I had brought in a few of my summer dresses and my husband's work pants. Again, everything went smoothly and the process was so quick. I will defiantly go back again.. Took them to hem up 3 silk work shirts of mine because they were a little too low cut and they did a brilliant job! It looks like the tops were made that way! It was a fast turn around and priced just right. Could be a little better about greeting people, was a little awkward when I first walked in but there were a lot of people in there at the time. read more

I would not recommend this alteration place for wedding dresses . I brought two dresses to them. The alterations were not done correctly, and in a panic I went to David bridals and had to buy a third dress which came out beautifully!!! I highly recommend David bridals in Pineville not only for their dresses, their professionalism, but they're amazing alterations department. I had two couture dresses from New York Bride and groom which now I will not be wearing. In addition, I spent over $400 in alterations at Anna's, and I am not able to wear either dress. As a sidenote, you need an appointment for each alteration. However, I stood there several times in my wedding dress by myself in the middle of the room waiting for a seamstress. If you were looking for a great experience especially for your wedding, I highly recommend David bridals. Not only do they steam your dress and hang it up for you after each alterations but they will even carry your dress to your car! My dress at Anna's was just thrown in a bag. My last visit there, I had to hang it up myself. Very disappointed in the whole experience. They may be very good at other alterations, but I would not go there for wedding dresses. read more

I would give zero stars if this system allowed it. I've been going to Anna's for years. I've always had positive experiences until now. I had three pairs of pants altered. Due to several errors on their part, the wrong alterations were made to each of the pants. Tight pants were taken in, loose pants weren't tapered. We were charged for alterations that weren't made or were made to the wrong item. When I took the pants back that should have been tapered, they wanted to charge me when the error was clearly on their part. If you use Anna's, make sure they write down the instructions correctly because if a mistake is made, you will be forced to pay due to their inability to take ownership of an error. read more

I took my wedding dress to Anna's to have a bustle put in about one week before my wedding because I'm a procrastinator. Other places told me it would take 2-4 weeks but Anna's accommodated my timeline and had it done in two days! She also noticed that my dress was a little long on me, which was distressing because it is lace and can't really be hemmed on short notice. The owner took the time to talk to me and suggested adding in another layer of tulle while shortening the inner layers to make it easier to walk in the dress. When I picked up the dress, it was even more beautiful with the fuller flared skirt. She noticed a small tear in the lace over my zipper (which had been caused by a seamstress somewhere else who claimed it already looked like that) and had her most experienced seamstress sew it up for free! I am incredibly happy with the service and personalized attention I received at Anna's and will definitely be going back for future alterations. read more

I can't put any less than 1 star. I called them earlier in the week and asked if an appointment was required and they told me that it wasn't necessary that I can bring my wedding dress anytime to have a bustle put in. I just left the shop after they very rudely told me that I was wrong that an appointment was required and interrogated me about who I talked to, I told them that I didn't get a name. She told me I could go put my dress on and she will get to me whenever she can but it will take a long time and I will have to wait on the people with appointments. It was insulting and degrading and I do not recommend them to anyone. read more

I DO NOT trust Anna's Alterations one bit! They damaged my $300 Bridesmaid Dress and told me when I came back to pay for it they would offer me half off! Then when I actually came back in to pick my dress and discuss price they told me they would not offer me half price and they accused me of damaging my dress before I brought it to them to get altered! I got an item hemmed and when I went to pick it up, they tried to charge me much more than I was quoted (verbally). They charged me much more than I would have considered paying. Lesson learned - if you go here, make sure to get your quote in WRITING. Giving them one more star because they did a great job with the quality of the alterations. However, a business with good customer service should honor the quote that a customer received. I had no other choice but to pay. I'll be taking my business elsewhere. read more

My husband purchased a new suit and needed the trousers hemmed before a funeral. I took the pinned trousers along with a new ladies top that I purchased to have taken up a little. They told me the pants would be ready the next day and they were. I was not in a rush for the top. When I picked the trousers up, the hem was not done properly! You do not put an inch and a half hem and use a sewing machine!!! I had to take them to another shop to have them hemmed correctly. Of course, this made me a bit nervous about my top. I picked my top up today and they charged me $28!!!! I explained about the suit trousers and they just smiled and said have a nice day. I recently purchased a Burberry dress that was too small at the waist band. I visited almost every alternation shop in the Pineville-Charlotte vicinity only to find out that everyone turned me down to say the dress could not be altered. Someone suggested trying Anna's and boy was I happy to find this place. They didn't think twice when I brought the dress in and questioned if they could take on the challenge. Not only did they perfectly alter my dress, the costs for the alteration was amazing low. I now have a new alterations shop going forward. I wouldn't go anyplace else. I have been to Anna's for years but with inconsistent results, I am giving up. Last year they took up a pair of pants so much they were too tight to wear them. When I showed them what happened, they said it wasn't their fault. Really? So I guess I must have asked them to make the pants too small to wear. Then last week, I took a simple repair--a seam that had split. Alll they had to do was restitch what had come unsown. I can't even describe how they screwed this up. I think a lot depends on who you get tao do the work but since they are such jerks when ypu talk to them about a problem, I am moving on. I think they are riding on past reputation. These people are miracle workers!! My dress that I had to wear as the maid of honor in my sisters wedding got butchered by another "tailor" in Charlotte (V alterations and cleaners on 7th street- don't go there unless you want to look like you got in a fight with a lawn mower and then not get your money back because "she don't work for free") Anna's took my dress and some how fixed all THREE things the other place messed up (including it being two inches too short and cut crooked at the bottom) and you couldn't even tell anything was ever wrong with it. Then they charged me probably half of what they should have because they knew I had already paid for this once. Amazing. So patient and friendly and really know about the business they are in. My daughter purchased her wedding dress from Hayden Olivia in Charlotte. It was a beautiful ball gown, but when told her alterations were 550.00 we decided to go somewhere else. All recommendations pointed us to Anna's on Park Rd. They were right! We went for 5 fittings on her dress. Each time they took time and care to fit. When her dress was done it was perfect and out total bill was 165.00... They even did a tux pant/ jacket and two other pants for 38.00. I had Anna's alter my wedding dress two years ago and they did a stellar job. Recently I lost some weight and my Pendleton blazer no longer fit. I took it to Anna's and they removed the bulky shoulder pads (ugh), tapered the sides and cut down the sleeves. Result = perfect! And at only $51, I saved my cherished blazer. read more

The only thing I trust this shop to do correctly is hem my pants. They ruined an expensive cocktail dress (the back of the dress was 3 inches shorter than the front and the lady had to nerve to say that it was just my butt!) and couldn't even take in a pencil skirt correctly (the back of the skirt was sewed all crooked).
